UFC is competition, but so is football, 24, and every other show that caters to the "young adult male audience". Which is most of tv.
UFC is somewhat special though, because it is also on PPV, and does very well on it.

It probably didn't help that she wasn't really punished in any way. She still got to be Nitro's valet plus Nitro got a decent (only in the sense that he defended maybe 1 more time than Helms has in his whole CW reign) IC run, so it's not like she was out of any spotlight. So that probably explains why she's been publicly bashing Mickie James. Point is they really need to punish HER, and not Nitro. Correct. He's going out there and jobbing every week, and he's done nothing wrong. I say, keep him at the mid card and let him win matches. Though, I'm not sure why publicly bashing a wrestler elicits any punishment. Flair publicly bashed Foley, for instance. Flair recieved, of all things, a push at the time. I'm definitely NOT condoning verbally attacking a wrestler, I'm just saying. People do get into legit heat, and some of them take it too far. To be fair, she should be punished in some way. Have one of the top guys in the company, I don't really care who, go out and say to her "You've gotten your word out, and if you speak of this even ONE MORE TIME..." with some fitting punishment at the end. On another note, what DID she say about Mickie? I don't actually know what she said, or if that alone is the reason behind her backstage heat, I was just citing the only example I knew of. I'm guessing either she said unkind things about multiple people, or she just said something phenomenally vitriolic regarding Mickie.

And I'm starting to get nervous. I hope this doesn't escalate further.

This is actually their second battle- first major one. iMPACT! did go head-to-head with the hall of fame a while back, I'm sure. They got their ass kicked and if Russo books the show like he has been, then they can plan on doing so again.

''There are rumors that WWE wants to get Mistico and Shocker (he speaks English) to work the four WWE dates in March.'' How come noone has noticed this yet?! This rules! I noticed it, but it doesn't rule. Shocker sucks. Mistico is ok though...but shocker sucks... a lot

Hogan is still mad about Shawn telling the truth about him while everyone in the audience laughed?

Melina apparantly wrote in her blog accusing Mickie of starting stuff with her, and said Mickie started dressing like her after she showed up wearing skirts n such

I hate when writers give their own views to go along with the news.
Who really cares? Just give us the damn story and use "I" a lot less.
That is of course, if is the writer for Figure Four and not the poster on the forum. If it is the poster, I apologize.

Hogan is still mad about Shawn telling the truth about him while everyone in the audience laughed? Although the story was presented in a heavily biased way, I think I understand what Hogan's problem would be. After a unique match where Hogan got the win and then Shawn Michaels shook his hand out of respect (I believe that was the SummerSlam ending, correct me if wrong) Michaels comes out and buries Hogan because he is bitter. Michaels was mad because he didn't get his return win. Also, probably because Hogan showed him what "real" politics are in concern to getting what you want. Let's face it, Hogan is much better than Shawn at that deal. Michaels coming out to completely crap on the match from the night before and then complain about how no one will see Hogan until the paycheck is big enough is pathetic. No really, P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C. There is no reason for Hogan to wrestle unless for good money at his age. As long as the buys are there to make up for it; as long as the end result is good, Hogan's paycheck shouldn't be a concern. Now, with Hogan's over-saturation due to his TV show, I could have understood Randy Orton being upset due to this years SummerSlam. Thankfully, Randy doesn't have the pull to try and rant on Hogan.

First things first Shawn put Hogan over in the match about as well can be expected. If you want to see how bad Hogan is nowadays watch his match with the much younger Orton who couldn't carry the old lug. Shawn put him over. Shawn made him look good. The thing was that Hogan was supposed to return the favor. Or if my understanding is correct Hogan was supposed to lose at Summerslam and get a return win but the orange goblin is a baby and wouldn't do it. So Shawn got over on him anyway by pointing out the obvious talent gap between the two.

Hogan is still mad about Shawn telling the truth about him while everyone in the audience laughed? I don't buy the rematch thing with Hogan/Michaels. First off, the FACE won the first match, so what was the point of a rematch? Secondly, Michaels made a joke out of the first match (the fish out of water routine after the big boot) and then went on national TV the night after to sooth his own ego for jobbing clean. He basically admitted the match a ton of people paid to see was fake and he was "forced" to job. How was that setting up a rematch? Then.....all but 5 minutes later....SHAWN TURNS FACE AGAIN! Seriously, none of what I just wrote makes any sense from a booking standpoint, but it happened. Nothing tastes worse than your own medicine, and I think Shawn got a mouthful of his. His speech 24 hours later was just Lost Smile V.2., except the fans were chanting for Hogan during the speech in 2005, instead of for Sid (like in 1997). Shawn is lucky he has "workrate", because it baffles me how people talk bad about Hogan and others, but let this prick off the hook so much.

I really wish these two could get along. They're both VERY talented as far as current women's wrestling goes. They can put on a good match. But it's going too far. Hopefully, like Flair and Foley did, they can work this out. But I have a bad feeling that won't be the case.

No, I said that as long as the buyrates went up with his appearance, then his paycheck was warrented. Maybe Hogan should have returned the favor, but for HBK to verbally whine on television about the thing, as well as continue running down Hogan any chance he gets, shows that he is a sore loser. People hate politicians in wrestling, but it has to be admitted that Hogan is the best one and schooled Michaels in the subject. I bet Michaels nearly lost his smile over that...

Two men having a dispute is a lot different than two women, that's all I'm going to say here. Hell this is something that was partially born out of a fashion thing for crying out loud. I do hope they can resolve it though, because I actually did find Melina a lot more decent in the ring than the last couple of times she wrestled, and I know Mickie is good as well.

That is of course, if is the writer for Figure Four and not the poster on the forum. If it is the poster, I apologize. And the inserting of opinions is part of why PWI is accused of being so off base a lot of the time. They insert their opinions in to their audio news updates so much that people hear them say something like "I dont want to see this" or "damn it, I bet this will happen" and you see it on a copy and paste site 2 hours later "PWI IS REPORTING THAT....". I made the same mistake last week with a TNA/ROH story Mike Johnson reported. Just give the news, and save the opinions for something else.
