Much of the hate was the fact that he miraculously gained 100 pounds in a year when he joined the WWE.

When your most memorable moment was force-feeding Simon Dean 100 burgers, you don't have much of a career to fall on. ;D

Anyway, I agree that he gets far more hate than deserved. It's not like he asked to be in the position he's in Actually, yes he did. Remember he wanted to get away from Michael Hayes because he's a whiny complain and/or rude female. I meant him being ECW Champion.

I think a part of it is his push to the ECW title...while Punk is "paying dues." What dues did Lashley pay, exactly?
That said, he's big, strong, and agile, with a seeming willingness to improve. So I find it pretty hard to hate on the guy - that said, I'm not too crazy about his push.

Having said that, he was pushed to the main event MUCH too soon. And in my personal opinion, he should still be on Smackdown as he doesn't really fit in with ECW. Doesn't help that, in order to be remotely liked by everyone on the internet. You must have the workrate of an abomination made from parts of the best puro and luchadore wrestlers, along with the big powermoves of the US style, and must have a Ph.D in thespian studies or something.
