I don't think they actually said on-air that Kenzo Suzuki was a descendant of Hirohito. I remember the vignettes which were basically him speaking to the camera in Japanese and disgustedly saying "AMERICA!" every other word.
Then a few months later he was tagging with Rene Dupree and singing James Brown tunes.

Ultimo Dragon in WWE He even got the mysterio video treatment in his vignettes and he didnt ever get a cruiserweight title run. Didnt he dissapear for about 6 months only to reappear at the cruiserweight open and then that was the last of him?
I disagree on the Kevin Thorn > Mordecai posting. I definately liked Mordecai better. So yeah Thorn has Ariel but that doesnt make it a better character.

May 19th... ...Kane vs "Kane" I wanted to see how that angle ended up! In all honesty, so did I. Once the Kane with the afro showed up, I was hooked.

those nathan jones vignettes were bowel lossenengly scary. those were great. but can anyone confirm for me whether or not, during his match with the undertaker against a-train and big show, when he didnt show for the match, tazz said something along the lines of "the fbi raped him in the showers, so he cant be here tonight"

It seems to be happening a lot now. Cryme Tyme's vignettes looked like they were going to raise hell on RAW. But it didn't happen.

As for recently, I'd have to say Cryme Tyme and The Highlanders, both had interesting vignettes, were right on the cusp of getting tag titles and their pushes were killed dead.

Another one, in Tna Trytan had sick promos and vignettes and caused the lights to go out which was sick and was going to feud with Monty Brown but than soon after he was gone.

Do you remember a couple of years ago they started having promo's about a descendant of Emporor Hirohito and then all of a sudden it was dropped? How about all of the promo's on Braccus then all he did was get punked in Brawl for All then never seen again? Of course then there was the famous Seven from WCW. Can you all think of any more ideas that the wrestling industry started promoting for weeks on end then never really went through with it? But then again, how about some who they built up then brought them in and...wha? Take The Highlanders. Here we had weeks and weeks of buildup then they actually wrestle and even put them in a program that looked like they were title bound then...they give the belts to Piper and Flair...then to Edge and Orton...then to Cena and Michaels. Same with Cade and Murdoch. They built them up as a heel tag team and even gave them the straps then... Welcome to the Double Double E! Thank you for the price of admission, no flash photography and don't touch the sports entertainers as they walk down the ramp or YOU'RE FIIIIIIRRRRREEEEED! And thanks again for coming!

It always drives me nuts when that happens. The worst had to be Sean O'Haire. The "Devil's Advocate" gimmick was built up for weeks and featured some of the best promo videos that I've ever seen. Then he shows up, tells Spanky to run around naked, and the writers drop it. I can understand why, it just didn't seem like it would play out well on TV...But damn, I loved that gimmick. No kidding man. That was one of my favorite gimmicks too, but I also have a feeling it wouldn't have lasted very long. Creative definitely would have quickly run out of ideas for it.

What about the Kurt Angle/Steph/Triple H love triangle? They never had the big pay-off match and we never found out what happened in that hotel room.

Jimmy Wang Yang.
He doesn't seem to have a very good win/loss record and couldn't even beat SYLVAN!
Oh, and while I'm at it, Sylvan ...twice (the world is sylvan, and ambassador at large)

The nWo in WWE. They started off fantastically, and then Hogan got face pops in Toronto, and they pulled the plug after just a month. Then the nWo got X-Pac, and then Big Show, Booker T, and Shawn Michaels. It just sucked after Hogan left. The only way the new nWo was going to work was if it was the original trio.
