Y2J. Well sort of. we had all this hype with the countdown, and then he makes his debut interupting the Rock, only to have the Rock lay the smack down on him, making Jericho look weak.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the Rock essentially punking out Jericho right then and there. It's one of the reasons I don't like the Rock.

I may be alone in this because of my high level of mark-dom for the guy, but early last year, things seemed to be building toward one final world/wwe title reign for Flair. This had me excited as one more reign, kind of a "thank you" for a great career like Hogan got, is something i've wanted to see for a while. Then...nothing.

But what I'm referring to when I started this thread was the incredible buildup of some gimmicks then either nothing or it was very short lived. I already game the Hirohito example as well as Brakkus and then the Highlanders and Cade and Murdoch. Some of the ones given were good but not on this level. But the strange thing is that the Spirit Squad was given the same kind of promo push and were actually given a decent program but the others were not.

I don't think they actually said on-air that Kenzo Suzuki was a descendant of Hirohito. I remember the vignettes which were basically him speaking to the camera in Japanese and disgustedly saying "AMERICA!" every other word. It was the intention, though. They were going to build him up as Hirohito's very disgruntled grandson. The very same writer who came up with this also wanted to debut Heidenreich as--true story--a cryogenically frozen Nazi soldier, thawed out in the 21st century. No joke. I'd say the writer had a fetish for WWII. Jed Shaffer ~And to think ... they coulda gone one step further and had Little Guido come in as Mussolini's grandson! Smell the buyrate!

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

What about the Kurt Angle/Steph/Triple H love triangle? They never had the big pay-off match and we never found out what happened in that hotel room. Reminding me of that makes my urge to kill rise

Having O'Haire dropped so quick was a sin.
