Remember back when IC Mania defenses were a big deal (HBK/Razor, etc.). Yeah, me too... Yeah, but back when the IC Title actually meant something there were only three titles (four if you count the WWF Lightweight title that mysteriously never was mentioned in the U.S. for years). Off the top of my head, WWE has 9 titles now, and one of their own "World" titles doesn't even mean jack, so that tells you how little championships in WWE mean these days.  |

Yeah it's rough on those midcard belts at Mania when you know there's 3 guaranteed world title defenses for the 3 main belts at the very least.
Was bad enough when there was just 2. With 2 tag belts, a women's belt, the IC/US belt and the cruiser belt around as well...they've got to skip some of them to make room for any non title feud matches.
