Wrestlemania 9 gets nothing but bad raps on these boards and i do admit for Wrestlemania...the matches were vastly under-par...BUT this is one of my fave PPV's..i have it on VHS.
Im trying 2 figure why i like it so much...nostalgia perhaps..i loved alot of the cheesy charcaters they had back then...evil doink..narcissist..etc
But i think the main reason i love the PPV is the arena..for some reason the outdoor settings and layout looks so cool..and had a major evet like feel to it.
Would you ever want the WWE to hold another PPV there?...i mean if WM8 or WM10 were held there think how great that would have looked!
Am i alone in my love for that arena..id love to see a return to ceasars palace!!!!
Any thoughts?

The arena was fine. The execution was just plain horrendous.
I too also have this on VHS and loved the cheesy appeal of it. I still do.

Heck yes. I support any excuse to have more outdoor shows.

The arena? Absolutely!
The PPV itself and the HORRIBLE shit it included, ah no.
But I'd like something like that arena again.

It looked like it was taking place in a car park.

I think the ppv booking was very poor which is why the whole roman concept gets a bad rep..whilst if they had WM8 or WM10 there...it would've seemd alot less crap-tacular

Way too small. They'd make no money off it.

maybe for a saturday night main event type show?..nothing major like wrestle mania..but maybe for a smackdown PPV or something. It just felt really summery..the bright sun and colors..it had a great look.

I wouldn't mind an outside show, but the whole roman thing was ridiculous.

I REALLY like outdoor arenas, but it may be because they seem so rare, 14 years is TOO rare though

I think the only outdoor shows we'll ever see are the Tribute to the Troops shows every December.

They did XIX outdoors in Seattle (probably the rainiest city in America). Maybe every 9th year, they'll do an outdoor Mania.

I think they should do more outside ones. Or cities like Houston where you can plan outside, but allways close the roof if weather looks bad

I like the big open air arena, and could go for another one.
Whether it was at that location or a similar one wouldn't really matter to me.

The arena for WrestleMania IX was cool.
The card was crap, except for Evil Doinks

There are rumurs that Wrestlemania 24 is going to take place at a casino setting similar to Wrestlemania 4 and 5. It wont be at Trump plaza, because they have a bad wrestling audience, si the place they may be going is Las vegas. It's down to vegas and Orlando Florida. If it's in Vegas, then I say they should do an outdoor venue, but It dosen't have to bee ceasar's Palace, even though they could make it bigger if they want to.

I wouldn't want to see it again.
It just looked soooo cheap.
