Orton can get the crowd going, I think it was either Bad Blood or Vengeance 04, but Randy did an excellent promo and really got the crowd going. I loved his IC title run, and I think they should have waited for his World Title run.

I'm actually turning around on my previous hatred. The SOB's actually starting to grow on me. I don't think he needs a manager, because he's finally starting to improve recently after years of showing me nothing.

I've seen minute improvement in the ring, but nothing that reverses my opinions of the fact that he seems to just be fine with coasting on the legacy of his family and the massive pushes he gets regardless of anything wrong he does backstage.
And his mic skills still aren't anything that decent, to me at least.
Also, in theory you could cover up his lacking skills with decent in-ring partners, yet Orton has this effect where anybody tagging with him becomes boring in the ring as well, at least that was my main problem with Rated RKO as Edge's match quality seemed to take a hit during tag matches. Maybe I was imagining it but it really seemed that way.

Orton just doesn't sound all that natural as the Legend Killer character to me. In that brief, two weeks or so intial build-up with Hulk, with him acting more as a duplicitous, albeit charming, predator around Brooke Hogan, he came across as far less forced.
Funnily enough, I think the guy has fantastic body language and facials, he just isn't much when he opens his mouth.

I love his selling it's EPIC! I mean when he gets a finisher he looks dead! I mean sort of like when Rock got hit by a stunner it looked like Austin Killed him it was fantastic! I'm dying to see Stone Cold give him a Stunner, I'm curious if he can outshine the Rock or even Scott Hall's reaction to it. He gave him a stunner at Survivor Series 03. Orton flipped backwards and his waist landed on the bottom rope with his legs dangling outside the ring if i remember rightly.

Orton's doesn't need a mouthpiece he just needs a better gimmick, and what better way to get him over again than to have him become a cowboy like his dad.

I don't think he's terrible on the mic.
He's not great, but there's about 20 people that need managers before he does.

He doesn't really need someone to talk for him, but I like your idea of a valet that could perhaps talk for him. Too bad there aren't very many women wrestlers who are any better. . I also like the valet idea, but I would go with someone in the pretty quiet Ms. Elizabeth style then a Sherri/Sable/Sunny variety. Orton cockiness kind of reminds me of Savage.

Orton just needs to calm down when he does his promos.
He seems so angry all the time and he messes up all his words. That only works for a guy like Scott Steiner where it seems natural.

I don't hate Orton or anything, I just think he got pushed way too high, way too fast. Give him a few years to mature and become more natural in the ring and I think he could really do some good things. That being said, he doesn't really seem like the type that constantly tries to improve and get better, so we'll see.

That's what I'm saying, he just seems to exude this attitude (judging from backstage reports and such) that he figures he's a 3rd generation superstar and thus does not have to worry about looking that great cause his lineage will back him up and he'll be pushed anyway. or something. In any event it looks like that's paid off for him pretty well (see the 30-day suspension leading into his "promotion" to RAW)

He needs a hot female manager. That way, kinda like N&M, the manager could elicit a "jealousy" response from the female fans who usually drool for Randy. Then he can get all-around heat.

I don't drool over randy anymore. He's gotten a lot less attractive in the last two years. He has a puffy face. I mean I still would, of course, but I wish he was 2004 hot again. I suppose this is how Stephanie McMahon fans feel.

Orton's grown on me. I think he's improved on the mic and in the ring, and hopefully that'll continue.
