By: Bob Ryder 3/31/2007 8:39:14 AM Carlito may have gotten himself in hot water with WWE over comments he made to the Ottawa Sun/Slam! Wrestling. In a report by Tim Baines, Carlito lashes out at WWE for leaving him off Wrestlemania 23. In the report Carlito says, "I'm out of Wrestlemania," he says. "Apparently, they had to make space for Kane vs. Khali and Melina vs. Ashley. How can I be at Wrestlemania? If I politic and kiss ass, I should make it." He continues, "I'm not going to cry or be bitter, there's always next year ... and I don't want to get fired. But they're showing disrespect by not having Ric Flair at Wrestlemania and even more disrespect by not having Carlito there." WWE has a strict policy about their talent speaking to the media, and frowns upon any negative remarks such as those made by Carlito. It is extremely rare to see a WWE wrestler make comments like this, and there will almost surely be repurcussions Credit 1wrestling www.1wrestling.com/news/newsline.asp?news=28101looks like carlito will be wished his future endevours soon.

No this is so worked out the way he said it. This just shows me he will turn heel and "kill" Flair on Raw. He will get a huge push. Funny that people would believe this WWE does this all the time. So if Carlito turns heel I can only hope Orton turns face.

seems kinda in character for him (mainly the heel Carlito), especially when he tossed in him not being booked was more disrespectful than Flair not getting booked
he'll still end up jobbing to Eugene and Val Venis on HeaT until they fire him though

Sure he wasn't in character? there was an interview he did on Sky Sports News last year and he just kept putting himself over and burying everyone else by acting like the cocky, arrogant guy he plays on TV saying stuff like "locker room leaders? Carlito. Everyone looks up to Carlito, no one else" and "everyone aspires to be like me basically, everyone".

Yeah the ending where he slips into talking about himself in 3rd person makes it seem worked.

Whether he gets buried from this or not he makes a valid point about Kane/Khali and Melina/Ashley. Though i think he went a bit overboard saying it's more disrespectful to not have him there than Flair.

The third-person "disrespectful to Carlito" stuff does suggest that there could be more to this.

So now we're going with the "It's all a work" theory? Damn, people really don't wanna believe ANYTHING they read on the internet.

They really screwed his career. He stopped getting reactions when they gave him the Trish angle and then the Torrie one was even worse. The promos basically made it look like he had no clue how to talk to women, and they just had to ask him out. It was so bad, it just made him look like he had no charisma and his "game" was on the level of a 4th grader.
Prior to this, the guy sold more t-shirts than anybody besides DX and Cena.
