The way I see it, they are trying to get as many victories over RVD as possible before he eventually leaves the company. Otherwise, I can see Orton being in MiTB as well, but then I can only speculate who else will make it - Kennedy and MVP would be nice, but there's too many heels then.

Damn. Whenever I think Money In The Bank now I get that awful song from 'SVR 2007' stuck in my head.

The thing that kills me is that they have a thing that they waltzed ass backwards into (Edge's streak) and they're going to blow it in a money in the bank match instead of using it to get someone else over.

There's no reason for Edge to win this match.
Or even be in it.

Now they shut RVD out of one of his specialties. We can assume he won't be going for a title, so what else can he do? Maybe he'll team with Sabu, Sandman, and Dreamer to lose to the New Breed. Edge takes a spot that could've gone to Carlito, Kenny, or Super Crazy. Even if Holly didn't suck as bad as he does, he's injured and can't wrestle. Aside from Punk, who else can get in from ECW?

Holly isn't injured. Or at least isn't to the extent that he can't wrestle, he's wrestling tonight.

My MITB picks:
Raw: Edge and Orton
Smackdown!: Kennedy and King Booker
ECW: CM Punk and RVD

How different is this than a main eventer winning the Rumble most years?? 'cause the main event match at WM is supposed to be a huge draw. MitB can be "technically" cashed in anywhere, so they can have a guy that needs a push to the main event but creative has nothing much for unless he's there, and have him use it at the optimum moment for his push. See Edge and RVD. Both were near the main event, but creative and DoubleDouble E never really pushed them to that status (or they had and cut their push short, or whatever. They weren't main event at the time). Edge cashed it in at a throwaway PPV where he could be at his most heel, and RVD cashed it in at the place where it would mean the most if he won the title - ONS II.

I think the MITB has already lost it's luster. The first time Edge cashed in his chance was pure genius never to be equalled.

I feel that they should have up and comers in that position. If it was up to me, the Money in the Bank match would look like: Raw: Carlito Ric FlairNow, to be perfectly honest, all except for Ric Flair wouldn't be ready for the title, but hell, they could still have the Money in the Bank and lose it. It helps build them up for the future and how they almost had it, and can put them to the next level. Yeah, that youngster Ric Flair, he has a lot of of upside, but he needs to learn to work WWE Main Event Style before he can expect to headline a show. Maybe in a year, if he works on his game and studies tapes. Jed Shaffer ~Maybe we can toss in that young hoss, Terry "Hulk" Hogan.

Surely they wouldnt have edge win it again... does this mean his WM win streak is over?

I think the MITB has already lost it's luster. The first time Edge cashed in his chance was pure genius never to be equalled. The second time around was handled really badly. RVD never should've ANNOUNCED when he was cashing it in. He should've had a match earlier at ONS with an ECW original, then when Cena shows up to cut a promo, he would get insta-heat because 1) it's an ECW house, and 2) it was the time his entire fanbase turned on him anyway. Rob would then come out heavily taped, beat him to a pulp, 5-Star through a table, and he celebrates with the title. THAT'S how you get the MITB match over.

Edge has now made his mark as a true maineventer, and really MitB is a step back for him. Can someone explain to me why Edge isn't having a singles match with Orton? Cause he won the first one, making it more exciting of a match even though he won't win.
