As I sports fan, I watch a lot of SportsCenter. It's fun to see the highlights of games, get some expert analysis, or maybe an interview from someone involved in the game.
So why wouldn't that work for wrestling? I think it could, if done right, add a lot to the experience. Get two guys, one of them a solid play-by-play announcer and one of them a former wrestler with a lot of knowledge about the sport. Have them show highlights from all the matches of the week (RAW, Smackdown!, ECW). Skim over the matches of less importance, spend more time on the main events. Have some exclusive interviews with wrestlers in a post-game conference like most sports do.
Would anybody else watch a show like this?

the thing is, if it's WWE, it would have to be in Kayfabe, which, while interesting, would be strange to watch.

Weren't Experience and Livewire basically this same thing? A recap show would be a good idea but, I think would hurt ratings in the long run because why watch the live show when you can get the most important things by watch in the recap show? I could see an online only show like this sometime in the future though.

That's kinda what they do on Heat only instead of recapping the week from a studio, they recap the week while watching Snitsky matches. ;D

It would essentially be an improved variant on AM Raw. Which I'm down for.

I always thought there should be a show like this that covers all the major happenings in the major feds produces by a company independent of any wrestling company. Course I doubt WWE would allow footage from their shows to be aired.

They have a show like this for the international market, it's called WWE Experience and airs for an hour over here in the UK on a sunday morning.
It highlights the main fueds from the shows and is a god catch upif you miss anything. Unfortunatly it's hosted by Todd Grisham.

No they could do a recap show, but also have in depth interviews, bring in wrestlers, bring in doctors to examine how injuries happen, bring in analysts to give predictions about outcomes. It would be awesome!

Wouldn't it be cool to have ex wrestlers act as pundits, discussing their views on current storylines and upcoming matches? It'd be weird in a pre determined environment that pro wrestling is, but interesting

I could see an online only show like this sometime in the future though. Never seen Experience, but Livewire was hosted by Michael Cole so it had no chance to be good. I like the idea of an online show, I would definitely watch that. As for those who said a Kayfabe show would be weird, I disagree. I want a show like that, a show that adds some realism to the sport. I like to do all the smark things (post on forums, read dirtsheets, etc.), but all of that can taint certain aspects of the experience. I still watch wrestling hoping something on the show will make me mark. The more Kayfabe they have that isn't f***ing stupid, the more into the show I get. A recap show that actually treated the show as a sport would get me into the show, plain and simple.

Stuart Scott: Now watch this when Orton turns around...BOOYAH! Michaels with the superkick and pin. You don't have to go home, but you gotta get the heck up outta here.
