The news brings a smile to my face but it won't mean anything if TNA doesn't get a rating boost and/or a two-hour show out of it.

Funny: A lot of people were chanting TNA and VKM, but all of them probably don't watch it. And I'm a TNA fan. Highly likely. And all Vince was probably thinking was: "You may be chanting that, but you've PAID to watch this." Perhaps, but those same fans are a lot less likely to pay again. If I had paid for a ticket to that show, I would seriously reconsider next time Raw rolled around to my city.

As much as it's all fun and smarky or smart or whatever the hell internet slang that can be used to describe all this, i just thought i would drop in the comment that all this Trump/Rosie stuff is not Vince's idea. NBC want to promote the new series of the Apprentice and are looking to get to their demographic via WWE which is the same demographic, especially with a lot of female viewers to that show switching off thans to the real Trump/Rosie thing.
This is why there were all those rumours about Trump actually showing up on WWE tv at some point.
I do however agree that it would be nice to see Vince do a bit of trying with the WWE product, specifically Raw, but it's still not as mad crazy bad as people are making out just yet. After all, losing half the night to promos and stuff is not something that hasnt happened before, or even that recently.

He deserves the chants, if he's going to continue to book crap like that match

Considering anyone with enough sanity to operate a remote switched off Raw during that match, the fans could've cheered Jell-o Pudding Pops and no one at home would care or take notice.
Only two kinds of people watched that, the complete WWE mark waiting for John Cena to show up and "us", the ones who wanted to crap on it and think it marked something important besides the lowest of the lows. No one who actually watched that dreck and falls into the first category actually cares about what TNA is, what it offers, or even that it's another wrestling company. The rest of us know what TNA is and either watch it or don't. This is bad for the WWE and good for TNA only in that fact.
It may get them a few new viewers, but I doubt anyone who wasn't already aware of TNA is going to suddenly start watching based on a chant that lasted about a minute.

Would have been nice to see a few full paper cups thrown and maybe some WWE merchandise burnt.
Then again I just like fire.

Nah, I bet they think they chanted "TNA" like people chant "ECW" at any hardcore spot. Meaning the fans MUST have found it as exciting as an X-division match!

Funny: A lot of people were chanting TNA and VKM, but all of them probably don't watch it. And I'm a TNA fan. Wich proves that TNA should focus in making angles/wrestling segments instead of shoots because it only makes it harder to someone like WWE to watch it. Like me for example.

Vince has never heard of TNA.
Those fans may as well have been chanting "Blair Witch Project"

I think Vince knows about TNA, he sure is not caring about it, but he know it is lurking somewhere and might be a threat someday!!

Vince has heard of TNA, and while he's not concerned with it right now, he has generally tried to make sure that they don't get momentum. For example, why was James Gibson told that he would be welcomed back into WWE as long as he stays clean and doesn't work in TNA?

Couldn't Vince have told NBC Universal no to that debacle and just have J.R and King say something about The Apprintice?

Couldn't Vince have told NBC Universal no to that debacle and just have J.R and King say something about The Apprintice? That depends. If NBC specifically asked for a ten minute promo (it was quite amusing to time the Trump/Rosie thing as it went almost ten minutes to the second) then im guessing a wrestling company could only really do one thing. Then again NBC may have simply asked for cross promotion and Vince and Creative gave them this. We don't know who was really behind it

I was actually at Raw this week (Don't look at me like that! It was a Christmas present for my bro and sis) and as soon as the TNA chants started and I realized Vince was at ringside I joined in as well.
Still, I'm not really a TNA mark, or even an ROH mark for that matter. I'm a mark for good wrestling. And just seeing the dookie that was being shown to us on Monday night, I couldn't help but join in, if for nothing else, than to get a point across to Vince:
"HEY!!! KNOCK IT OFF!!!"
