First and foremost, please don't laugh at this, as I am just testing a theory here. I was talking to my friend the other day about last weeks RAW, especially the Rosie vs Trump segment. He said that maybe Vince probably wants to ruin his product so no one can take over after his death.
I am not sure if this is true or not, but as a Rocko's Modern Life mark, they made an episode that kind of fits into all this. Ed Bighead's son wanted to ruin his cartoon because he lost passion for it, but couldn't do despite putting on the absolute worst crap ever. The fans of the cartoon would watch it no matter how bad it is. At the end of the episode, Ed's son decided to put on a great show and luckly it went out of business.
Can this correlate with the WWE today? I mean I heard Vince can book great matches back in the 80's,

This wouldn't make any sense. Vince McMahon is a proud man, he wouldn't want to die with a failure. He is also obviously grooming his children to carry on his legacy. Vincent Kennedy McMahon would go out with a bang, not a whimper.

In fact, I think that´s not it.
McMahon knows what he built. Any crap that he feeds, the people will eat it. So he just don´t care anymore. Look at Cena! He gets mixed reaction! If it was the attitude era, they would push one of their other main eventers in his place.
But there is none, because Vince says that Cena is the future. Do you understand my point?

To add more thing to the Rocko episode, Ed's son wanted to become a sculptor after destroying his creation. Vince has taken other interest outside of wrestling such as bodybuilding and football. Now he is branching into films and possibly pornography.

I just think that Vince feeds off of competition, and now that there is none, his imagination runs wild.

I just think that Vince feeds off of competition, and now that there is none, his imagination runs wild. I totally agree with this. The best thing for him would be for TNA to start becoming more popular and mainstream and threaten the Double Double E for wrestling dominance. In Vince's mind, he probably feels that he has no reason to put on great shows because his is the only product there is.

I don't think Vince is booking stuff like Rosie vs Trump to kill the WWE.
Because we all know that if Vince wanted to kill the WWE, he would INJECT IT WITH A LETHAL DOSE... OF POISONNNNNN! He would bring in the N.......... W............ Oooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Vince doesn't really need to try hard because there really no competition. TNA to him might not be even a serious threat to him, but I think he should take this leauge seriously you never know when they can sneak up and come up with a great story line or new top card wrestler.
<I know someone mention this already>

I wish!
In that case there was focus. But there is not focus, Vince doesn't know how to reach the casual viewer like he did in the 80's and late 90's. Because that is the crowd he wants. He knows that the smarks will keep on watching wrestling hoping it will improve, the marks will accept anything so they will keep on watching. But the people who make money are the casual viewers. Vince wants that audience, but he has no clue how to draw them in.
So he tries everything, he tries to shock them, he tries his hand at comedy, at social satire and keeps on throwing shit to the wall hoping it will stick.
Vince doesn't care about building good feuds and stars, because he doesn't see it as important for the general audience. When the WWE gets good ratings again, then Vince will try to keep that audience and deliver a quality product.
It's the complete opposite of what he should try to do. He should build wrestlers and feuds. And with a good product he should try to appeal to a mainstream audience.

Look, all the "idiocy" of WWE can be explained this way:
1.) Humor - sometimes his juvenile sense of humor works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it falls flat on its face like the Rosie/Trump thing. Such is the nature of the beast.
2.) Cena's Push - Bischoff says in his book that they can't afford to have the crowd dictate whether or not a face turns heel at this point. So they push Cena in spite of the boos and go with the script as written.
See that? No worries.

I just think that Vince feeds off of competition, and now that there is none, his imagination runs wild. Not just that, but since there is no competition McMahon has no reason to spend extra money or take risks. If you want to watch pro wrestling it's pretty much his stuff (no matter how much it sucks) or nothing. The only hope is for another promotion to rise up while Vince's ego has the best of him. That's why I'm so behind HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN going to TNA and bringing in fans so that it can grow.
