Probably the wrestlers who have the biggest portion of fanbase (or the only fans) in the IWC do care... just because it's the only place where they can get a bit of recognition But I doubt Orton or Batista are frantically surfing the 'net checking if the hate toward them is still raging... But I guess Triple H had a good laugh at all the conspiracy theorists...

You wouldn't expect it from Hossy McMuscle, but Tyson Tomko was a regular on the Wrestlezone forums while he was in Japan.

The likes of Paul London & Brian Kendrick would because we are the fans that bought the shows they were on & without those fans they probably wouldn't be were they are.

I wouldn't be surprised if Triple H was a smark growing up. That would be ironic. Well he is a Four Horsemen mark

Yeah, back on the old forums he had a Flair avatar and sig. And instead of Ariel or Maria, it was girls like Wendi Richter... or something. Funny, I actually found this excerpt from a chat forum back in the 80's! An actual transcript. ***You are in Wrestling Chat 12*** HHH69: Hey does anyone have the spoilers to WWF Superstars yet? JstASxyBoy: Heck yeah but I haven't gotten around to posting them yet. HHH69: Rad! I am going to see Andre vs King Kong Bundy next week JstASxyBoy: Righteous! I was gonna go, but I ended up getting Journey tix instead. My dad knows this guy who hooked me up. DScherer: You jerks, it's the early 80's! Chat rooms weren't invented yet, hell-O! HHH69: Why do you gotta kill my buzz man? I just tricked out my Commodore and I'm all OVER the internet! GS_FOOTLUVA: Hey! Any hot chicks here? a/s/l? HHH69: This is the Wrestling chat room, not the Foot Freak chat room. GS_FOOTLUVA: That's not my fault!

Interestingly enough when Hardcore Holly was ill and like near death last year i sent him an email saying that i hoped he would be better soon and such forth.
His wife then mailed me back and said thank you and that it meant alot to her and to Bob who was worried that alot of fans didn't really like him because of backstage things and the way he is asked to do things.
It made me wonder (after i had got over the suprise that Holly actually cared what people thought about him) how he found out seen as it's a big internet thing that Holly is a bit of a dick and stiffs people and so on.
Maybe he is a secret surfer.

25%? That sounds like a pretty generous estimation. You do understand that when WCW died adn WWE told us all to "Get the F out", many millions of fans just went away... So 25% is probably rather accurate.

Cena cares as well and has reacted to it. He said the criticism keeps him from becoming arrogant and get his head up in the clouds.
If he means that, then he does care. And if he doesn't mean it, then it has bothered him enough to at least give a reaction to the internetfans.

Friends, what do you think about professional wrestling caring about the likes and dislikes of the IWC. Do they have the knowledge that IWC is really powerful and constitutes at least 25 percent of the wrestling fans worldwide. Do you think John Cena caresknows about the impact of IWC. And lastly do you people think that some wrestlers visit forums like the one I am posting this message on. I'm not your friend. [glow=red,2,300] ;DSo who are you? A pussy.[/glow]

I like it when Edge said you guys are going to text your imaginary girlfriends on how good this show was, then you guys are going to log on the internet and pleasure yourselves to his actual girlfriend.
That was the best.

One of my favorite things that many well-known names within the business like to point out.
- The IWC is a minority audience.
- The IWC is a parasite to the business.
Those two points compliment each other very well. They go together so logicially.

You know, I've never understood the anti-IWC argument from those in the business. From Shannon Moore's "I'm not here to impress the 'net" to the old "kids in their parents' basements" stuff, it just seems so cheap.
If the argument is that those not "in the business" shouldn't comment, then how far does this go? Will Scorsese or Speilberg start making fun of Roger Ebert because "he's never had a major starring role"?
If the difference is "they get paid to do it, we're just talking", then does that mean that I should stop my spreading of hatred for the movie "Frost: Portrait of a Vampire", because I haven't done as many drugs as Gary Busey?
Hell no.

Wrestler's comments regarding the IWC range from illogical to irrational
Then again, if they don't say things like that, JBL will be sad.

i know that alot of promoters will put alot of heat on a guy if he talks too much about the iwc, as will many other workers. they see it as such a minority that it shouldn't matter, and that the workers shouldn't take their time to look at such things (like this site!). but that's mostly the old school guys. alot of the younger workers/promoters rely too heavily on the iwc IMO. to me, it's a fine line. you shouldn't ignore it, but you shouldn't put too much interest in it.
