From what I've read, D'Lo was one of Vince Russo's pet projects when he was heading the writing staff. Once Russo was gone, and the unfortunate accident with Droz, D'Lo was pretty much dead in the water.
It's a shame too, because I really enjoyed D'Lo and was surprised that he not only got over, but managed to handle his success really well by not over doing it and continuing to have good matches.

I def. would like to see D'Lo back in the E, especially if he can still go in the ring. And apparently he still can (currently part of the Voodoo Murders faction in AJPW)
by the way it goes without saying that
Voodoo Murders >>>> Voodoo Kin Mafia

Once Russo was gone, and the unfortunate accident with Droz, D'Lo was pretty much dead in the water. And yet D'Lo stuck around for nearly 4 years after Russo left and the Droz incident. So either he was locked into a long contract or there was something about him that worked that Creative liked. BTW - what was he doing during the InVasion? I've got this gap between Lo Down and the first draft where, I'm guessing, he wasn't being used...?

I think he wasn't used, he and Chaz were both pushed off TV as the InVasion began if i recall correctly.

D'lo was so talented. I actually remember reading Mick Foley's book about the incident with Droz, and D'lo was really messed up from that. He was a lot more emotional then Droz was, he was with him just constantly apoligizing to him and crying, and Droz was trying to tell him that it was ok and everything.
I wish D'lo would comeback. People betta recognize!

I haven't thought about D'lo in years, but I have to admit, if the dude can still go I would mark like hell to see him come back. Espeically if he still had the chest protector. That was the shit.

Only if they bring back Dan Severn to make him have to wear the chest protector again.

I'm really digging D'lo in All Japan.
He'd be an awesome addition to ECW or Smackdown

Introducing first, the World's Greatest Tag Team of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin!
And their opponents in this title defense, from New England, at a total combined weight of 542 lbs, D'lo and Monty, the Fabulous Brown Brothers*!
Book it (shakes head at the evil that is Brian Gerwitz...)!
or if on Smackdown!, the Brown Bruthas, Playa [Teddy Long's new enforcers, like Three Minute Warning but more awesome]

I always liked him,he was an entertaining guy, who could put on a good match, as long as they kept him away from any tag teams consisting of Chaz. I think he could work.

I always liked D'Lo, i think he stuck around with help from some of the "boyz" because apparently he was well liked, i even remember reading HHH saw loads of potential in him (and this was after the Droz incident) - I'd love to see him back.

If anything' he's more likely to end up in TNA for a bit, since he has the BCW/Scott D'amore connection. I always loved D'lo Brown. His sky high/lo down finisher combo was great. His chest protector was one of those props that just fit the character...no one needed to see his manboobs. Between him and Mark Henry, we're talking some massive cleavage. And the way he was pushed, as a good wrestler who's also a CPA. Imagine if they'd brought him in as Mike Rotunda's protege. Chest protector, red suspenders, and a briefcase. He would have drawn Nash numbers to MSG.

Anyone remember Low Down's tag team finisher? It was awesome.
D-Lo climbs one turnbuckle, Chaz climbs the opposite one. Their opponent gets up, all groggy. Chaz jumps off the top, hits the Mosh Pit, pops right up as the opponent is on the floor, as D-Lo comes landing with the frog splash.
I marked for that move everytime (while it was only a few) I saw it.
