Another brilliant move by the WWE Claudio is one of the only indy wrestlers I've somewhat followed and liked. They can him but Snitsky is still here. So let's see, in the past week the WWE has decided 1. Joey Mercury should be a jobber 2. Snitsky should get Joey's push in ECW 3. Claudio needs to be FIRRRREDDDD for whatever reason (I'm not buying the Indy thing, they said he was released from his contract, couldn't they have just pushed back the date he began?) 4. Daniel Rodimer is a main-eventer because he makes Stephanie's panties wet. They need to make a WWE Film called "The Dumbest Guys in the Room" and have it star Kevin Dunn, Dave Lagana, Vince, Steph, and Johnny Ace

The WWE offically can't handle The Most Money Making Man in this industry.

Gerweck: WWE has fired Ring of Honor star Claudio Castagnoli last week, even before he reported to Deep South Wrestling. Castagnoli dropped the ROH Tag Team title recently with the idea he would be reporting to Georgia soon to honor his WWE developmental deal. According to Dave Meltzer, WWE has told Castagnoli to attempt to honor his previous bookings. Castagnoli did cancel a Japanese tour to star with Deep South. Apparently more WWE firings are coming. I had read that they told him to honor his previous bookings because there was a hang-up in the contractual process. Who knows.

Yeah, internet news sites tend to take a small truth and make a giant fallacy out of it.

I haven't seen much of Claudio, but I've seen enough to know he's better than most of the guys in WWE Development.

It looks to me as though Gerwick has simply stretched out what Meltzer said. I had also heard that Claudio's debut in DSW was on DELAY not that he was fired and that he was told to finish up his commitments so that he was able to, um, you know, make a living until they could get him some work in DSW. I would not believe this. This is probably the shadiest piece of information posted, and believe me, there has been a ton of shady information posted lately that I do not believe at all.

Not believing it, because there is no reason for them to release Claudio as he hasn't even started working for the company yet. He doesn't get a check until his name in on a contract and he actually shows up in DSW.

*Sigh* I was actually looking forward to Claudio in WWE, too. He could be great on SD, especially as a face with the "HEYYYYYYY!" gimmick.
But knowing WWE, they'd ditch that catchphrase and make him be "a neutral Swiss," which would be represented by him standing to the side of lockerroom brawls.

That was fast. Hey, Burchill getting fired wouldn't be so bad. I'd like to see him let loose in TNA, possibly in a big man stable with Robert Roode and Matt Morgan. That'd be money.

They had to make space for 20 bikini models and 10 giants that can't wrestle.

No big deal. What would you rather happen: He gets called up and saddled with a lame gimmick that gets him benched in less than 2 months and quite possibly ruin his chances of ever being taken serious in WWE, or, would you rather they release him while they are dry on ideas (when are they not?) and allow him the chance to return to the Indys with his dignity and a shot at making it big someday?
I'm going with the latter. It's obvious they have interest. He'll be on one of the three main shows by 2008, I'd be willing to strongly bet on it.
