And the point of the "Night of Champions" if only the Women's title changed (since I don't consider the ECW match a "change" because there was no champion going in)?
I was on the fence about ordering Vengenance too and apparently now should be glad I didn't.
If I'm ordering a PPV titled "Night of Champions" with every title on the line, I want to see at least 3-4 title changes. I knew Cena would go over and Edge is slated for a long run and I in no way wanted Dave the Slug to win, but what about JYW winning the Cruiser belt? Umaga getting the IC belt back?
$40 saved by me it sounds like.

I agree. Man, I am glad I didn't get this. The thing that probably upserts me the most is the ECW match between Punk and Benoit. that would've been the only match I wanted to see. Sorry, I don't know. What the hell happened? How did Nitro get inserted into the match?

So since Batista lost by count out, do you think that Teddy Long will declare he gets more title shots since he was not pinned? Yep.

The one thing I did find funny about tonight is how over Umaga was compared to Santino, glad to see WWE Creative took advantage of the "fan wins the belt" storyline

It's not as if anyone's been given a reason to care about Santino whatsoever beyond lil cutsie backstage things with Maria.
Heck even his entrance music sucks.

Didn't even bother to watch Umaga/Santino as Santino is pretty boring since winning the I-C title, don't give a crap about him really.
And to answer A dubya's question, Benoit had a family emergency, so he had to fly home while Nitro took his place.

Just got back from my buddy's from watching Vengeance. Boy, did it suck bad. We kept expecting the next match to be good, but that never happened. Lashley had some good spots, but that was about it. Even the Hardyz match stunk. Just an awful awful PPV.

Tomorrow night Cena will retain his title in a match against every world champion who are still alive. Just what I've always wanted. SID AND CENA IN THE SAME RING!!! And why stop with just the living, get the corpses of the best out there too! I'm so going to watch this and mark out to see Austin, Savage, Rock, and Sid on Raw. Then after Cena wins against all of them. I think I will shoot myself. I guess Brian Lee will dress as the Undertaker do to Taker's injury. Kane doing double. He will face his as Kane. And comeback later dressed as Diesel. Sence Kevin Nash is in TNA. Eric Angle subing for Kurt for the same reason.

Was it me, or did Umaga come off as a total babyface. And yay for Candice!

Well.
Sounds like a bad PPV on reading the results. But I won't knock it till I see it. Benoit vs Punk will happen one day.

Just finished the show. Broke a string of WWE shows that I thought were really solid. I didn't like the show much at all.
Hardyz v Cade/Murdoch was decent, but didn't touch their previous encounters. But with a result from a later match, I hope this means Hardy is in line to FINALLY get that title shot most of us have been waiting for.
Chavo and Yang was alright, I'm surprised Chavo retained again over Yang. Guess that eliminates him for getting the belt any time soon.
I'm so sad to say that Nitro/Punk wasn't that good at all. At least not until the final 2-3 minutes. The crowd chanting for Benoit was shades of the "WE WANT FLAIR" chants from back at the Bash. Nitro winning absolutely floored me. In a good way though. I can live with a feud between these two, just change things up a bit, because the first 2/3 of this match almost put me to sleep.
Umaga should have won, and I'll leave it at that.
MVP and Flair was better than I expected, but still not really anything to write home about. I just don't see it with Flair anymore, at all. Thank god MVP won and we didn't get another 6 month Flair reign where he defends the belt 4 times total.
I'll be honest, I skipped the D&D tag match and the Woman's Championship match because I wanted to get to the big main events, though one was never in any doubt from the beginning.
That one would be the WWE Championship match. So NOW Cena overcomes 4 challengers in the same match, with chairs, and with finishers all over the place. This is f***ing pathetic. Wake me up when I should care about the WWE Championship again.
The complete opposite however, was the new WWE match of the year IMO, Batista vs Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship. This match was f***ing brilliant from beginning to end. Edge working over the arm like clockwork, Batista using his power to try and fight back, but unable to do it when he needed to the most. The false finish with the DQ was masterful, and the second Long's music hit I said to myself "....no....good god no....they're giving him the belt back".
The false finishes and near falls were godly. The exchange of rollups, the Batista bomb on the floor, the reversed DQ, the spear .... all of them made this match incredible. For once Batista does something entertaining. And now with him out of the way FOR GOOD, it's Matt Hardy's time to shine.
Not a good show, but one match stood out above the rest, and Cena still makes me sick.
