Roll your eyes if you want, but I'd be hard pressed to think of a memorable Jeff match that didn't involve some sort of crazy spot, or a ladder. If a match involves one "crazy spot" or involves a ladder. That doesn't make the wrestler a "spot monkey" all of a sudden. Besides the only thing of "crazyness" anymore is his whisper in the wind - and even thats boarder line

Matt Hardy has one thing about Jeff Hardy. Matt can work himself as one that the people can root behind as an "everyday guy" that went from jumping around a trampoline to being a wrestling flying star. Sort of like if Tommy Dreamer had been a high-flyer. Maybe, I don't know. I need to quit drugs. Jeff needs to quit doing drugs. Do you have any proof or knowledge that the man has gone off the wagon again since he came back to the WWE? That said, he was a drug monkey. Jesus...

Sometimes being a spot monkey doesn't mean you alway go for highspots, sometimes it can just mean your matches have no real story, it's just a bunch of cool stuff (not necessarily highflying) strung together. That's what I see from Jeff. Matt can work and he can get by with something more than his look and form a character (see V1 for details).
110% Matt

Now I don't have to write it. That;s exactly how I see Jeff as well. He's good at what he does, but he's limited.

Good one man. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ;D

Matt Hardy. Matt's a better mat wrestler, seller, and more rounded across the board in physical attributes. Besides, can Jeff hardy say he can slap a tomato?

"a bunch of cool stuff strung together"?
I think are definitions of the term "Spot Monkey" are very different.

Plus....to be honest, I think you can make him more sellable as a main event player than Jeff. Though I have to say, I loved Jeff Hardy's IC title run. So who knows.

Matt easily. Jeff to me reminds me of every kid in high school who was the "try too hard" to fit in type with a certain niche, and it irritates the hell out of me.

Really off topic - Willibald Feivel Cornfed I must say that has to be a record post count in such a short period of time ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) Anyways, am gonna have to say Jeff. Just because I marked like hell for him when I was younger and genuinely thought that he was the coolest guy ever. But then... I liked Limp Bizkit at that time aswell ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

Can someone tell me why everyone prefers Matt? Any time I say I prefer Jeff on a rasslin' board people seem to imply that...well, as if I say I'm a punk rock fan when my favourite band is Simple Plan (This is not the case, it is simply a comparable situation).

...Simple Plan used to be punk. . ..in the pop-punk (punk-lite) sense. .. .wait. Why am I talking about this on a wrestling board again?!
I think it's because scene kids and poseurs (not saying you're one, dynamitekid) seem to like things like Simple Plan and Jeff Hardy.

Meh. Matt has to take it, as I just don't like to see Jeff.

I like both, but Matt is all-around better.

I think it's because scene kids and poseurs (not saying you're one, dynamitekid) seem to like things like Simple Plan and Jeff Hardy. But it's almost like poseurism squared, in that they are seemingly going along with the sub-crowd by all liking Matt instead of Jeff. I just watched Jeff have a great match with Jericho in 2003 and I've seen him have a ton of good ones with the Dudleys and Rob Van Dam (including in 1997 to a lesser extent...I might post that video soon) and dammit I prefer him. But I love the V.1 gimmick. Great stuff.

I voted for Jeff. I think Matt has better matches, but I enjoy Jeff's persona more. I think I'm the only one who doesn't hate the dancing he does during his entrance.
