I know this may sound like me just fighting Stone Cold's corner but it isn't as I obviously can't attempt and wouldn't attempt to defend him beating her a few years back, no matter how much respect and admiration I have for Steve Austin.
What my problem is though is the way Debra has continually dragged Austin's name through the mud and used the tragic deaths of Nancy and Daniel to grind her personal axe.
When she came out right after the tragedies saying she would use this to further her campaign against domestic abuse, I found that to be a great thing obviously. But so far she hasn't. All she's done is use a tragic situation to talk about her own situation. She's doing nothing so far to help abused people. She's burying Austin every chance she gets and coming across as bitter idiot rather than somebody who's trying to help people.

She sort of has ruined her own credibility on this issue by her behavior and some of the dumb things she has said. The sad thing is, I have no doubt at all that she got beat. However, instead of using this forum that has been presented to her to make a difference, she has made it impossible to take her too seriously because she sounds like she is out for WWE blood.
Oh, and the comment about Austin legally changing his name made her sound like a complete idiot. "He even legally changed his name to Steve Austin! He is so delusional that he really thinks he is Steve Austin!" Of course! That must be it! The fact that if he did not do that he might not be able to own the rights to the professional name that he has used for over 2 decades has nothing to do with it! He just thinks he is his wrestling character!

I stopped reading at this point. It's amazed me for years that anyone can have any respect or admiration for Steve Austin after the number of times he has beaten women. I have no respect for any man who beats his woman, esspecially if the guy is strong enough to kill a person with his bare hands. If she hadn't been able to leave him, it would be her funereal that would be going on now. Of course she is mad at WWE. They covered up what was happening to her so they could continue selling the b*stard's merchandise.

Heard it before. Steve Austin is scum. As long as he's on TV and still getting his merchandise sold, I'm glad that Debra has a forum to say it in.

When she was on with Bill DeMott, I really noticed how it was all about her, and nothing about Nancy and Daniel.
I'm also not even sure if Steve Austin changed his name, as I never heard of that until she said it. In most interviews I've seen him, he says his real name is Steve Williams.

She has every reason to be pissed at how her former employer handled that situation. It just is counterproductive for her to sound like a wailing banshee.

At least Debra did leave. In last weeks WON Meltzer said there was a time after Eddie Guerrero's funeral when Benoit, in the words of a friend, "beat the s*** out of Nancy" and there were other times friends noticed she had bruises. So, I don't really hold with the "Benoit just snapped" theory considering he'd hit her before.

When she was on with Bill DeMott, I really noticed how it was all about her, and nothing about Nancy and Daniel. That's just not true. She was basically saying, "I know what Nancy went through because I went through it too." I recall her describing how Steve's eyes were just bulging out of their sockets during his attempt to strangle her. Of course she spoke from her own experience. She was supposed to. That's why she was invited on the show.

i think your treading into dangersous territory. It bugs me enough that dumbass redneck marks worship Austin and will defend him to the death, but you're from England! Aren't you supposed to have class?

Her goal is to describe her experience to people. Since we are talking about those experiences here, that means we heard about them, so mission accomplished. It's not her fault if you think she's a 'wailing banshee' for describing events you would rather not hear about. Jeez.

If Nancy had left Chris and then went on fox talking about his violent behaviour and how she feared for her life, benoit marks would probably be calling her a drama queen and an attention seeker.

I did get a chuckle out of her saying "she had a 500 pound guy beating up on her all these years" or something to that effect.

I did get a chuckle out of her saying "she had a 500 pound guy beating up on her all these years" or something to that effect. Actually, the point she was making to Demott was "have you ever had a guy twice your size beat you up?" In demott's case this would be a 500 pound guy.

Sadly this is true. Austins name clearly deserves to be 'dragged through the mud'. What the hell does anyone expect her to say? "I won't name my husband who continuously beat me because I don't want to 'bury' him"?

I know the point she was trying to make, but it didn't come out right as she said "500 pounds" which assumably she was talking about Austin, as I couldn't figure out any other guy that was beating up on her.

I stopped reading at this point. It's amazed me for years that anyone can have any respect or admiration for Steve Austin after the number of times he has beaten women. Guys with "workrate" are held to a higher standard on this forum, regardless of their history or actions (see Shawn Michaels, Benoit, etc). If Debra was Warrior's ex, then very few would have a problem with her.

It's only one or two people who think Debra is some uppity broad, and they have issues beyond simply being marks.
