Hey, he earned the cash.
And if he likes rappin', good for him.

He deserves it. He makes the WWE more cash then any other single star. As for his CD I'll just choose to ignore it like I did his last. You took the words out of my mouth as far as him deserving it. Unbiasedly speaking though, his CD wasn't that bad, it was actually really good for anyone that actually listened to it instead of just bashing it because it was Cena. The last song is the one that gets overlooked the most in my opinion. It talks about a near death experience he made it through, but rarely gets mentioned.

Why is it that Cena makes rap albums, but no longer raps on RAW?

I'm curious to how much Edge makes now. Seeing as he's a main eventer, and his merchandise seems to sell well.

I had assumed that he was making that much even before I read this. And I agree, Cena has earned every penny of it. Considering he's working the WWE schedule along with promoting other things WWE and things he's involved in. Also his ringwork has never been as sharp as it has been now. Seriously match of the week for me was Nitro/Cena on ECW I'd say Right now Cena is the top wrestler of this generation of pro wrestlers.

If I remember correctly, that list of wrestler salaries ended effective October of last year (the pay period was April or May 2005 to October 2006), so numbers could have easily changed over the recent year.
Given that, I would say that it is either Triple H or Cena with the highest current salary, with Taker shortly behind them.

Whoa, don't give the Cena marks TOO much to chew on. Does Highest Paid = Best?
Think about it. Alex Rodriguez = Highest paid player in baseball. And.......... has he ever been to a World Series (much less won one)? No, not even with 3-0 ALCS lead with the friggin' Yankees, for crying out loud!
Thank God you actually have to work and earn your way to the World Series, instead of just making a promoter with little clue these days have a hard-on for you and glue the World Championship to your waist. Otherwise, there might be a half-wit running around on other message boards named JeterThug4A-Rod. *shudders*

I apologize to Warrior for the off-comparison to an extremely overrated baseball player.
Derek Jeter don't make the world work...

I agree with most of the people here. There is most likely nobody working a harder schedule than Cena while consistantly not getting injured. In this near three years on top he's never been out on any kind of vacation. I say he earns it. He's the most popular wrestler in the world today and probably brings in the company far more every month than they pay him all year.

I seriously doubt he makes more than Triple H, even with him being out injured. Seriously.

How is this news?
Pretty much every maineventer since Hogan has been making 7 figures.
HBK and Diesle were probably making a bit less in the the lean days of WWE, but that's it.
If he were making 8 figures, that would be newsworthy.

John Cena probably gets a lot of Merchandise sales added on to his pay cheque, which probably helps him.
Also, he gets main event on pay per view pay offs, and now that he's the main event on EVERY pay per view, he's probably making the mega money.
But John Cena does deserve it. The last time he was injured in some way (that's been reported) was the 2004 Royal Rumble when he landed on his ankle awkwardly, and he didn't miss any time from that. The last time he took a break was when he took time off to do a movie after Jesus stabbed him. He returned in late 2004, and has been going ever since.

Maybe the lack of injuries can be explained by his "safe" working style.
