3. MICKIE JAMES, 547 POINTS

Mickie James (born on August 31, 1979) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling on its RAW brand.

As a three-time former WWE Women's Champion, Mickie James is known for her bouncy personality and energetic in-ring style. She defeated both Trish Stratus and Lita for her first two championships and pinned Victoria in a Triple Threat Match to claim her third title from Melina.

Career
Mickie James made her professional debut in the summer of 1999 as a ring valet for KYDA Pro Wrestling in Manassas, Virginia. She started out managing some of the most popular stars in the promotion such as Steve Corino and Tommy Dreamer, but eventually found herself being drawn into feuds with other wrestlers and their valets and managers. Eventually Mickie chose to step into the ring as a wrestler herself. Although most of Mickie's matches have been against women, some of her most memorable matches would be against men. She scored her first big win in a match against Sean Lei.

Laree's career has gone through many promotions. In late 1999 she expanded out to other promotions including all-female promotions Beautiful Babes of Wrestling (BBOW) and Professional Girl Wrestling Association (PGWA). She probably made her largest impact wrestling for Maryland Championship Wrestling, where she engaged in several long-running feuds. In January 2001, Mickie made her debut appearance for two new women's promotions, Dangerous Women of Wrestling (DWOW) and Women's Extreme Wrestling (WEW). Both promotions worked together to promote women's wrestling with a hardcore edge, and WEW had regular monthly pay-per-view matches. James' feuds in WEW include matches against "Prime Time" Amy Lee, Dee-Dee Venturi, a re-ignition of her feud with Candie from MCW, and the start of a new series of feuds with "Simply Luscious" Ronnie Stephens. Her matches against Stephens stretched to many independent promotions in the northeast. Mickie also made her name internationally by wrestling on early Ring of Honor cards. She had a kayfabe sister called Valentina Laree as part of an angle during her indie days (when Mickie's ring name was Alexis Laree).


Total Nonstop Action Wrestling
Mickie, as Alexis Laree, debuted in NWA TNA on their second-ever PPV in late 2002 as part of the all-women's Lingerie Battle Royal.[3] However, she wasn't prominently featured until the March 26, 2003 PPV, when she helped out the Amazing Red in a mixed tag-team match against Kid Kash and Trinity[4]. Two weeks later, the two women had a match against each other that ended prematurely when James was dragged away by Raven, who had recently debuted. Later that evening, it was revealed that James had joined Raven's new group, The Gathering, which would later be expanded with the addition of Julio Dinero.[5]

The Gathering was a smaller part of Vince Russo's "Sports Entertainment Xtreme" (S.E.X.) stable. With Raven assuming some control of the group, they immediately focused on Raven's attempt to take the NWA World Heavyweight Championship away from champion Jeff Jarrett. Over the next few weeks The Gathering broke away as James and Dinero helped Raven win his matches and would even start engaging Jeff Jarrett himself. On April 16, 2003, Jeff Jarrett was challenged to a Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match against James and Dinero; this marked the first time a woman had ever participated in this dangerous style of cage match.[6] Jarrett powerbombed James from the top rope and through a table with Dinero laying on top. However, Raven ran in, attacked Jarrett with his "Raven Effect" DDT, and put Dinero on top for the pin. Raven would lose his first-ever NWA World Heavyweight title match against Jarrett two weeks later.

The Gathering arose again shortly thereafter, starting a feud with Father James Mitchell and his Disciples of The New Church faction. On July 30, 2003, The Gathering lost a Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match against The New Church. Mickie again participated in this match, making her the only woman to participate in it twice. At the end of the match, she was hit in the face by a fireball from Mitchell and would not be seen on NWA/TNA broadcasts again.

On August 18, 2003, James was offered a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. Despite some reports, she was not replaced in The Gathering by CM Punk; they were actually both in The Gathering at the same time, she was just shifted out of it.


Ohio Valley Wrestling
However, October 2003 would mark a new calling for Mickie. She was signed to a developmental contract and immediately sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in Louisville, Kentucky to begin training.

In early 2004 she started making television appearances for the OVW promotion, still using the ring name "Alexis Laree", she was regularly included in storylines including feuds with Jillian Hall, Melina, Trudi Denucci, Nikita Fink, Passion, Shaniqua, Melissa Coates, Ms. Blu, Beth Phoenix, and Shelly.

In the Summer of 2005, she and CM Punk were reunited for the first time since The Gathering. She served as Punk's valet for a taping of WWE Heat in Cleveland, Ohio on July 25, 2005.[7] The match was not aired, for conflicting reasons. Plans to team the two together and bring them to TV were abandoned. Prior to this, she also briefly appeared on television for Memphis Wrestling in April 2005.


World Wrestling Entertainment

2005-2006
She made her debut on the main roster during the October 10, 2005 episode of RAW under her real name: Mickie James, and was billed as an obsessed fan of Trish Stratus. She came to the aid of Stratus with Ashley following an attack by Victoria.[8] In her first televised match a week later — a tag team match with Ashley Massaro and Trish Stratus against Victoria, Candice Michelle, and Torrie Wilson — ended with James being pinned by Victoria.[9] Reflecting her idolation of the then-Women's Champion, her behavior in the coming weeks would take a turn for the bizzare. She dressed up as 'Trish Stratus' (complete with a crudely constructed replica of the Women's Championship strap) during a Diva Halloween Costume Contest on RAW.[10] She also began utilizing Stratus' established finishing moves - the Chick Kick (re-dubbed the "Mick Kick") and the Stratusfaction to win her matches. James even helped Stratus to win the "Fulfill Your Fantasy" Diva battle royal for the WWE Women's Championship at Taboo Tuesday, by eliminating herself as she eliminated Victoria.[11]

On the December 12 edition of RAW, James defeated Victoria with her debuting Tornado DDT finisher to receive a match against Stratus for the Women's Championship at New Year's Revolution.[12]

Subsequently, James developed a lesbian crush on Stratus, frequently getting her into various compromising situations, such as kissing her beneath the mistletoe and interrupting her in the shower.[13][14] Following her pinfall loss to Stratus for the Women's Championship at New Year's Revolution, James commented that it "felt like silk" when her skin touched Stratus'.[15]

Hints at James' heel turn began after she attacked fan favorite Ashley during a tag-team match.[16] At the Royal Rumble, James faced Massaro in a match where Stratus was the Special Guest Referee. Before the match, James confessed her "love" for Stratus, and after her win, attempted to celebrate with her hero, but Stratus did not cooperate.[17]

In February, James tried to put the moves on Stratus' boyfriend Jack. However, she claimed to be a victim of an unwanted advance by Jack even though she was the aggressor.[18] Subsequently, James provocatively licked an oversized photograph of a lingerie-clad Stratus on television. Stratus confronted James and asked that they "maintain their space." On the March 18 WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, James agreed to give Stratus her space. The two shook hands as though they were parting ways, but James attempted to hug and kiss her partner. James then attacked Stratus after she pushed her away, thus completing her heel turn.[19] In March, it was revealed that James had a shrine to Trish, which included dozens of pictures of Trish with her eyes cut out. James would continue to play mind games with Stratus for several weeks stating that even though "I (James) admired Trish for so long" at WrestleMania 22 she had two goals, to take the Women's Championship and to see Trish's destruction.[20]

At WrestleMania 22, James defeated Trish Stratus following a Mick Kick, to claim her first Women's Championship in her debut WrestleMania pay-per-view.[21] During the match, despite the fact that James was the heel, the fans frequently cheered for her, and booed Stratus whenever she hit an offensive move.[22]

On the April 3 edition of RAW, James came down to the ring dressed as Stratus, complete with a blonde wig, Stratus' wrestling attire, and theme music that began with Stratus' laughter as in Stratus' theme music.[23] Stratus responded by dressing and acting like James the next week in an attempt to play mind games with her rival.[24] James was disqualified in her Women's Championship match against Stratus at Backlash 2006. [25]

On the May 8 edition of RAW, following James' attack on Maria, an unknown woman confronted James. The women was removed by security, but it seemed as though James knew her because she shouted at her as she left the arena.[26] The woman, later revealed as then baby face, Beth Phoenix, attacked James on RAW for several weeks, repeatedly shouting "I'm not going to let you get away with what you did to me!"[27][28] This feud was cut short, after Phoenix injured her jaw in a match against Victoria.[29]

James lost her Women's Championship on the August 14 edition of RAW to Lita after she hit James with the belt while Edge distracted the referee.[30]James then turned face once again. Mickie's rematch occurred on the August 28 edition of RAW, but she once again lost to Lita after she used the ropes for leverage.[31] James was defeated by Trish Stratus in Stratus' last match on September 11, where they both hugged each other following the match.[32] Because she was retiring, Stratus' title was vacated, which led to a Women's Championship Tournament to determine the new champion.[33] In the tournament, James defeated both Victoria and Melina, before losing to Lita at Cyber Sunday.[34][35][36] Mickie and Lita would fight in a series of matches where Lita took an unfair advantage over Mickie by having her legs shackled together, one arm tied behind her back, or being blindfolded.[37][38][39] At Survivor Series 2006, James won her second Women's Championship by pinning Lita in Lita's retirement match.[21]


2007
On the November 27, 2006 episode of RAW, Victoria won a Divas Battle Royal to face James at New Year's Revolution for the WWE Women's Championship.[40] After several weeks of feuding, James pinned Victoria at New Year's Revolution, successfully defending her Women's Championship.[41] Following New Year's Revolution, Melina would become the #1 contender for the WWE Women's Championship.[42] For a brief time, Mickie would align herself with Super Crazy against Melina and Johnny Nitro. On the February 5, 2007 episode of RAW, Mickie defeated Melina to retain the title, but two weeks later, she lost her championship to Melina.[43][44] On the March 5 edition of RAW, Mickie James got a rematch, where she participated in the first ever Women's Falls Count Anywhere Match. Melina pinned Mickie after she attempted to do a hurricanrana from the top rope, which Melina blocked, causing James to fall on her neck and almost causing a serious injury.[45]

Melina booked a photo op of herself with the title on the next RAW which Mickie James interrupted and attacked the reigning Women's Champion with a DDT. This would begin another feud between the two over the Women's Championship. On April 24 at a live event in Paris, France, James won the WWE Women's Championship for the third time in a triple threat match against Melina and Victoria. However, on the orders of Jonathan Coachman, Mickie defended the title later that same night and was pinned by Melina.[46]

Tammy started out traveling with her boyfriend, Chris Candido. She did some camera work for the New Jersey-based WWA. She first appeared onscreen as Tamara Murphy Fytch in Smoky Mountain Wrestling in 1993. She played a rich, spoiled brat, who was billed as having come from Wellesley College and who idolized Hillary Clinton. Tammy Fytch became extremely hated by the fans in Smoky Mountain. She managed Candido, Brian Lee, and Boo Bradley. Both Sytch and Candido left the promotion in December 1994 for jobs with the World Wrestling Federation.

In late 1994, Tammy, as Tamara Murphy, began appearing on "Live Event News" segments during syndicated World Wrestling Federation television shows where she would promote local WWF house show events. Tammy and Chris appeared on a handful of WWF shows as Team Spirit, a short-lived gimmick similar to (but pre-dating) the recurring Saturday Night Live "Spartan Cheerleaders" skit. However, the gimmick never made its way on to television. By the summer of 1995, Tammy and Chris were renamed Sunny and Skip. They began appearing on WWF television as the heel fitness fanatics, The Bodydonnas. In 1996, she became America Online's most downloaded woman thanks to her risque pictorials that were offered exclusively from AOL. In 1996, she won two Slammy Awards, "Best Buns" and "Best Manager". She also won Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Manager of the Year Award. Sunny was also featured on Entertainment Tonight on one occasion where they highlighted her popularity at the time. Sunny then began an angle where she manipulated Phineas Godwinn, of the World Tag Team Championship duo The Godwinns, into believing she was interested in him. However, she then turned on The Godwinns and helped The Smokin' Gunns win the WWF Tag Team Championship. However, Sunny got her just desserts as Phineas dumped a bucket of "slop" on her on a June 1996 edition of WWF Superstars.

Sunny began a short career as a guest ring announcer, referee, and t-shirt model after briefly becoming the manager of Faarooq Asad. At the same time, she began having legitimate off-screen problems with Sable. Candido left the WWF for ECW without Tammy, and it wasn't long before Sunny began making guest appearances in ECW with him as well. In 1997, Playboy approached Tammy in regards to posing nude for the adult magazine. Tammy declined the offer as she felt she wasn't ready for it at the time. Rena Mero (Sable) later said that, in fact, Playboy never contacted Sytch for a possible photo shoot.[1]

In 1998, Sunny briefly became the manager for the reformed Road Warriors as "LOD 2000". This was her final position with the company before her release in mid-summer 1998. The company released her after repeated no-shows and questionable excuses, particularly when she told Linda McMahon she had miscarried after missing a weekend of shows. She couldn't produce any medical documentation, and they insisted she check into rehab. She refused and was subsequently released from the company.[2]


[edit] Extreme Championship Wrestling
Once released from the WWF, she officially made the announcement at Heat Wave '98 that she was now a full-time ECW employee. Now billed as Tammy Lynn Sytch, she assisted Chris Candido in his win over Lance Storm. As their feud moved forward, Storm introduced his own valet "Tammy Lynn Bytch". The quartet had several very well received mixed tag team matches against each other. Candido being a member of the Triple Threat stable (where Shane Douglas was being managed by Francine) eventually led to a Francine/Sytch feud that caused the group to break up. In October 1999 on an episode of ECW on TNN, Paul Heyman got Sytch to talk openly about her past drug issues and reformantion. Candido and Sytch left the promotion in December 1999.


[edit] World Championship Wrestling
In between a brief stop for Xtreme Pro Wrestling in early 2000, both Tammy and Candido signed on with World Championship Wrestling. Candido debuted in March of that year, joining the New Blood, and Sytch debuted one month later. She entered WCW at Spring Stampede 2000 where she distracted The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Iaukea, while dressed in a chicken suit, during a six-way bout for the vacant WCW Cruiserweight Championship, which Candido won. She then feuded with Iaukea's valet Paisley, with the two having several catfights. The short-lived feud came to a conclusion at Slamboree 2000 when The Artist and Paisley stripped Tammy's dress off to reveal her undergarments following Candido's singles victory over Iaukea. Sytch and Candido then dubbed themselves "the first couple of wrestling" and briefly feuded with Crowbar and Daffney. Candido dropped the belt when Daffney pinned Sytch in a Mixed Tag Team Match with the person scoring the fall winning the title. Candido and Tammy were then released from WCW.

After being released from WCW, the duo landed in Xtreme Pro Wrestling where she managed Candido to a title (the XPW World Heavyweight Title) once again. Candido and Sytch parted ways with XPW and started touring other independent wrestling promotions. In the meantime, Sytch formed a business relationship with Missy Hyatt, and the two created the adult website Wrestling Vixxxens in July 2001. Along with a few other women loosely affiliated with wrestling at the time, they posed nude for the website and charged people to view the pictures.

In the spring of 2003, Sytch & Candido moved to Puerto Rico and were set to work for Victor Quinones' International Wrestling Association promotion. However, Sabu convinced them to work for Carlos Colon's rival World Wrestling Council promotion instead. After six months, the couple quit the promotion and headed back to the States. Upon their return to the States, both Sytch and Candido briefly lived with former ECW wrestler Hack Myers in his home in Florida.


[edit] Death of Chris Candido
On April 24 at TNA Lockdown 2005, Candido fractured both his tibia and fibula and dislocated his ankle during a steel cage match.[3] He underwent surgery the next day to have steel plates and screws inserted into his leg. Later in the week, Sytch picked Candido up from the airport, and was told he was given only pain medication but no antibiotics, which are normally given after surgery. By Thursday, Candido wasn't feeling well and his condition worsened during the day. Sytch had difficulty convincing Candido to go to the hospital, but when she did, he was diagnosed with pneumonia. Doctors wanted to drain Candido's lungs, but he didn't want to be sedated. The doctors eventually convinced Candido to go under while they drained his lungs. Twenty minutes later, doctors told Sytch that Candido had died. According to his brother Johnny, Candido died on April 28, 2005 due to a blood clot, a complication from surgery.[3]

After the death of Chris Candido, it did not take long for Sytch to become regularly involved in the independent circuit again. Sytch made appearances as a referee for NWS Wrestling in May 2005 and attended a Chris Candido Memorial Show on June 4, 2005. Also, Sytch was a part of Hardcore Homecoming on June 10, 2005. She first came out with Johnny Grunge and Pit Bull #1 to do a tribute to former ECW wrestlers who had recently died. Among those honored were Chris Candido, Pit Bull #2, and Rocco Rock. They were interrupted by Danny Doring and Roadkill, but 911 cleared them out of the ring. 911 then proceeded to pick up Sytch and place her on his shoulder, but 911's knee buckled and they both toppled to the canvas. Sytch proceeded to laugh off the incident. After the show, a Q & A session was held and donations for the Chris Candido Scholarship Fund were taken. A donor contributed $700, and Tammy stated that she would flash her breasts to anybody who topped the amount. Another donor paid $800 and Tammy flashed him.[citation needed]

During this time period, Sytch appeared at the New Jersey-based NWA Cyberspace promotion. Soon after Sytch's departure from NWA Cyberspace, the New Jersey-based National Wrestling Superstars (NWS) became her new primary wrestling promotion. She appeared on a handful the promotion's shows in the summer, and on June 3, 2006, she managed Lex Luger to victory over Johnny Candido. Prior to the bout, a presentation was held from The Manasquan Elks Lodge to the Chris Candido Memorial Fund. The Elks Lodge donated $500 to the fund, with the money being used towards a scholarship for a Manasquan High School student.

In spite of the prior ruling, Sytch returned to NWA Shockwave (formerly NWA Cyberspace) in 2006 as a featured headliner. On December 1, 2006, Sytch was appointed the new commissioner of NWA Shockwave.[4] Immediately following this announcement, Commissioner Sytch declared all NWA SW championship titles vacant, and informed fans that a new Heavyweight and Internet champion would be crowned on January 13. The promotion temporarily stopped promoting shows due to the unexpected death of NWA Shockwave owner Billy Firehawk in July 2006.

Trish Stratus (born Patricia Anne Stratigias [1] (IPA: str©¡tɛˈdʒi¢°ʌs) on December 18, 1975 in Richmond Hill, Ontario), is a former Canadian fitness model and a retired professional wrestler. Formerly working for World Wrestling Entertainment, Stratus retired from WWE on September 17, 2006 after winning her seventh WWE Women's Championship.[2] Stratus is the first in WWF/E history to have held the WWE Women's Championship seven times.[3] She is also one of only four women to have held the WWE Hardcore Championship.

As a fitness model, Stratus has been featured on the cover of many major health and fitness magazines such as Musclemag, Flare, and Total Women's Fitness. She also released a calendar series called "Dream Team" with fellow model, Stacey Lynn. As a sports entertainer, she was proclaimed the "Diva of the Decade" on the WWE RAW X Anniversary Show. She was voted "WWE Babe of the Year" three times between 2001 and 2003. She currently hosts the CBC reality show The Second City's Next Comedy Legend.

Wrestling career
Stratus caught the attention of the WWF while co-hosting a Canadian professional wrestling talk show called Live Audio Wrestling with "Big Daddy" Donnie Abreu and "Gentleman" Jeff Marek. WWF agents told Stratus that if she felt she had more to offer than her looks alone, she should start training for a wrestling career. Soon afterward, Stratigias began training at the gym of Ron Hutchinson, the same facility where Superstars like Edge and Christian had also trained for the ring. The WWF again had contacted her in late-1999, and this time, Stratigias was ready to start her career as a pro wrestler, having been a fan since her childhood and idolizing Hulk Hogan. She began her career under the ring name Trish Stratus.

Her first WWF appearance took place on the March 19, 2000 episode of Sunday Night HEAT. Stratus appeared on the runway, scouting WWF Superstars, in particular Test and Prince Albert. Not long after, Stratus began her first role in the company, managing Test and Albert in the tag team T & A. It was during her stint managing T & A when Stratus had her first taste of punishment in the ring, being driven through a table by The Dudley Boyz. She had been taunting The Dudley Boyz for weeks, in particular Bubba Ray Dudley who was notorious for his fondness for putting females through tables, such as Terri Runnels and Mae Young.

More and more, Stratus found herself getting physically involved in the action, taking her bumps from superstars like The Big Show and Chyna. On one occasion, she even suffered a stinkface from Rikishi. It was not long before Stratus began competing in actual matches. One of the earliest examples was a six-person tag team match at Fully Loaded on July 23, as Stratus teamed with T & A to face The Hardy Boyz and Lita. Although Stratus and her team lost the bout, she was not about to leave that night without making her mark and proceeded to whip Lita with a leather strap before exiting the ring. Stratus later managed Val Venis to win the Intercontinental Championship, but seemed to be outgrowing managing, as she had bigger aspirations on her mind. These aspirations included challenging for the WWF Women's Championship on a number of occasions against Lita and Ivory, although none of these attempts proved successful. T & A disbanded by the end of 2000, with Trish briefly managing Albert solely.

In early 2001, Stratus became involved in an angle with WWF Chairman Vince McMahon, during a time when Vince's wife Linda was "institutionalized" following a demand Vince had made for a divorce during a live show in December 2000. Vince and Stratus' relationship increasingly angered the boss' daughter, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. At No Way Out on February 25, Stratus and Stephanie squared off, with "The Billion-Dollar Princess" scoring a tainted win after a run-in by William Regal. In the midst of a tag team match that pitted Vince and Stratus against Regal and Stephanie, Stratus found herself the victim of a set-up by Vince, Stephanie, and Regal. Regal executed the Regal Cutter on Stratus, and Stephanie then dumped sewage over Stratus' body. Vince stood over Stratus, and he told her she was a toy that he had grown tired of playing with.

The following week on RAW is WAR, Stratus gave Vince an apology for the disruption she felt she had caused in his life. Vince then humiliated her further, forcing Stratus to strip down to her bra and thong, get on all fours, and bark like a dog. The footage was cut out of the United Kingdom broadcast. It ended up being part of a plan Stratus had set into motion to embarrass Vince. At WrestleMania X-Seven a month later, it all became clear. During a Street Fight between Vince and his son, then-World Championship Wrestling (WCW) "owner" Shane McMahon, Stratus rolled out a seemingly catatonic Linda McMahon in a wheelchair to the ring. When the action was taken to the floor, Stratus walked up to Vince and slapped his mouth before chasing Stephanie from ringside. Shortly thereafter, Linda stood up out of her wheelchair and kicked Vince in the groin, enabling Shane to gain control of the match and eventually pin his father.

After her situation with the McMahon family ended, Stratus began focusing on wrestling full-time. On the April 23 edition of RAW, Stratus was backstage promoting the "Divas in Hedonism" video when she ran into Mr. McMahon. McMahon then placed her in a match against Ivory, where if she lost, she would be forced to join the Right to Censor. However, Stratus managed to pin Ivory following a modified bulldog. Trish was later involved in the feud between The Rock and Vince, which led to a match pitting Stratus and The Rock against Vince and Kurt Angle. During the match, The Rock tagged in Trish, and she viciously attacked Vince delivering a Low Blow and pinning Vince herself.

During the WCW/ECW Invasion storyline, Stratus and Lita attempted to put their past behind them and began focusing on taking out alliance girls Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. At the InVasion pay-per-view, the two WWF divas faced off against the WCW Divas in the first ever Bra and Panties Tag Team Match, where Trish and Lita were victorious. The following night on RAW, however, Stratus suffered an injury in her "Paddle on a Pole" match against Torrie Wilson. She underwent ankle surgery later in the summer, and it was at least four months before Stratus would fully heal. As she rehabilitated, Stratus kept herself visible by co-hosting Excess on TNN. When she was not doing the show, Stratus continued training and rehabilitating, preparing herself for her comeback in the ring. She received extensive ring training from Dave Finlay, a former WCW Television Champion. Finlay's schoolings served Stratus well; by the time she returned to the ring, she was better prepared for combat.

Her return came at the Survivor Series on November 18 in a six-pack challenge for the vacant WWE Women's Championship. At this event, Stratus faced off with Lita, Mighty Molly, Jacqueline, Ivory, and former Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) mainstay, Jazz. Stratus pinned Ivory after unveiling her new Stratusfaction finisher, a modified bulldog headlock. The move saw Stratus apply the headlock, climb the ropes, and in mid-air, catapult herself backwards to the canvas with her opponent's head still gripped in her arms. After pinning Ivory following a bulldog, Stratus won her first WWE Women's Championship.

Trish went on to feud with Jazz for several months over the Women's Championship. At the Royal Rumble, despite an "injured hand," Trish walked away with the victory after a bulldog brought Jazz down for the count. Two weeks later, Jazz walked away with the title on an edition of RAW. Trish then went after the title for several months, even competing in a triple threat match at WrestleMania X8 against Lita and Jazz in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. Trish was unsuccessful.

Three months later, Stratus won the title back in a tag team match where both the Women's and the Hardcore title were on the line. The match pitted Stratus and Bubba Ray Dudley against Jazz and Steven Richards, and Stratus pinned Jazz to capture her second Women's title in her hometown of Toronto. During her association with Dudley, Stratus would also have a brief reign as Hardcore Champion by defeating Crash Holly on May 6. However, under the 24/7 rules of the title, she won and lost the title within minutes after Stevie Richards pinned her.

Stratus then went on to feud with newly-heel, Molly Holly. Molly defeated Trish at the King of the Ring for the Women's Championship. The two Divas carried on their feud for the next three months. It finally ended with Stratus defeating Holly at Unforgiven to regain the title.

When Victoria debuted in WWE, Stratus was first on her mind to try to defeat. After a successful defense against Victoria at No Mercy, Victoria gained revenge by defeating Stratus for the title at Survivor Series in a hardcore match.

Stratus also became WWE's most popular Diva, gracing the cover of WWE Divas 2002 swimsuit magazine (Lita graced the cover the year before) and also winning the Woman of the Year achievement award, as voted by the readers of Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine. In the brand extension between RAW and SmackDown!, Stratus was drafted to RAW.

Throughout January 2003, Stratus continued her feud with Victoria. On the January 27 edition of RAW, Victoria defeated Stratus in a special Chicago Street Fight. On March 17, Victoria and Stevie Richards defeated Jazz and Trish in a tag team match. After the match, Jeff Hardy saved Trish from an attack by both Victoria and Richards, and he kissed her on the lips. In the following weeks, Trish and Hardy were shown talking back stage and fighting as tag team partners. However, the storyline was dropped when Hardy was released from WWE on April 22, 2003.[4]

At WrestleMania XIX, Trish defeated Victoria and Jazz to capture her fourth Women's Championship. She lost the title to Jazz at Backlash on April 27. In the following months, Stratus entered into a feud with Gail Kim and Molly Holly. The duo defeated Stratus and several tag team partners until Trish began to partner with Lita. The team of Stratus and Lita defeated Kim and Molly Holly in several matches, including one at Unforgiven.

In November, Chris Jericho began an on-screen romance with Trish. He asked her out on the November 10 episode of RAW, and she agreed. Subsequently, they participated in several intergender tag team matches as partners. Around the same time, Christian began an on-screen relationship with Lita. On the December 1 episode of RAW, Stratus overheard the two men discussing a bet about who could sleep with their respective woman first. One week later, Lita and Trish confronted the men about their actions. This led to a feud between the two men versus the two women. On December 14, Christian and Jericho defeated Lita and Trish in a "Battle of the Sexes" match at Armageddon. The next night on RAW, a rematch of the previous night ended in a no contest.

On January 12, 2004, Jericho saved Trish from an attack by Jazz after a match. Two weeks later, Jericho once again saved Trish using his favour with Eric Bischoff to pull her out of a scheduled match with Kane. The duo then had a short feud with Christian, after he tried for several weeks to keep them apart. On the February 9 edition of RAW, Christian apologized for his actions. Two weeks later, Trish was scheduled in a match against Christian, who agreed to lay down and let her win, but he double crossed her by winning the match.

At WrestleMania XX, Christian defeated Chris Jericho after Stratus turned heel and betrayed Jericho. The trio began a feud that would last for several months. In April at Backlash, Chris Jericho defeated Christian and Trish in a handicap match. By May, Stratus and bodyguard Tyson Tomko were still attacking Jericho.

At Bad Blood on June 13, Stratus defeated Women's Champion Victoria, Gail Kim, and Lita to win her fifth Women's Championship. She defended her championship until she suffered a broken hand in July that caused her to be out of action for approximately a month. In September, Trish defended her title against the #1 Contender Nidia on RAW and Victoria at Unforgiven.

Also in September, Trish entered into a feud with Stacy Keibler, which saw Keibler pin Trish on several occasions. Keibler defeated Molly Holly in a #1 contenders match on an episode of RAW. However, the following week, Stratus defeated Keibler with a Chick Kick to the shoulder. A month later, Stratus entered into a feud with Lita after repeatedly poking fun at Lita's (kayfabe) pregnancy. At Survivor Series, Trish defeated Lita when Lita was disqualified for attacking her with a steel chair. The duo continued to feud until December when Lita beat Trish for the Women's Title on an episode of RAW.

Stratus defeated Lita to win her sixth Women's Championship, breaking the record, on January 9 at New Year's Revolution. Lita tore her anterior cruciate ligament in the course of the match when Lita attempted a diving Thesz Press from the apron to the floor, which resulted in Lita being put on the shelf for three months. Subsequently, Stratus became a six time champion and went on to hold the title for 15 months.

Stratus began a feud with 2004 RAW Diva Search winner Christy Hemme over jealousy of Hemme's Playboy magazine exposure. Hemme eventually revealed that she had been trained by Lita before hitting Stratus with a Reverse Twist of Fate. Stratus defeated Hemme at WrestleMania 21 with Lita in Hemme's corner. Stratus and the injured Lita feuded throughout April 2005, with Viscera wrestling Lita's then-(kayfabe) husband Kane on behalf of Stratus at Backlash. In May 2005, Stratus was sidelined with a herniated disc; the storyline explanation for her shelving was that Viscera had injured her with a big splash after she berated him for losing to Kane. Stratus would take a leave of absence with the Women's Championship.

Stratus returned to WWE television in September, turning face once again by siding with Ashley Massaro against Vince's Devils. In the course of the feud, Stratus was saved from a beating at the hands of Victoria by the debuting Mickie James, who was quick to introduce herself as Stratus' "biggest fan." All six women took part in a "Fulfill Your Fantasy" Diva battle royal for the Women's Championship at Taboo Tuesday, with Stratus retaining her title for a second consecutive year. The match ended when Mickie James sacrificed herself in order to eliminate Victoria, leaving Stratus the only woman standing.

On the November 14 Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show, Stratus took part in an interpromotional Diva battle royal that was won by SmackDown! Diva Melina. Following her victory, Melina (kayfabe) kidnapped Trish, and challenged her to a match for the Women's Championship. The two fought at the Survivor Series, with Stratus defeating Melina, with the assistance of Mickie James.

Stratus and James teamed together throughout late 2005, with James becoming increasingly obsessive. On the December 26 episode of RAW, James initiated an "intimate" kiss with Stratus under a sprig of mistletoe, causing a surprised Stratus to flee the locker room.

The partnership between Mickie James and Stratus continued into 2006, with Stratus defeating James in a Women's Championship bout at New Year's Revolution. Despite the defeat, James continued to be enamored of Stratus. Her fixation with Stratus led to a rivalry between James and Ashley Massaro, who dubbed the lovelorn James a "psycho." At the same time, James continued to pursue Stratus, on one occasion having her (kayfabe) date, Jack, arrested on false grounds. In early March, Stratus confronted James, telling her that she needed space. The duo briefly reconciled on the March 18 Saturday Night's Main Event, teaming together to defeat Candice Michelle and Victoria. However, James turned on Stratus after the match, attacking her with a Chick Kick and the Stratusfaction. James won the Women's Championship at WrestleMania 22, where the Chicago crowd attempted a double-turn, booing the face Stratus and cheering the heel James.

Stratus and James engaged in mind games throughout April, with James dressing like Stratus (complete with dyed blonde hair) and vice-versa. On the April 17 episode of RAW, Stratus (dressed as James) brought a tied-up Jack to the ring, telling him that "the real Trish Stratus" would attempt to save him. A confused James attempted to attack Trish but instead got a spinebuster, then attacked Jack for "betraying" her. The rivals fought one another for the Women's Championship at Backlash, with Stratus winning by disqualification after James refused to relinquish a chokehold. In the course of the match, Stratus (legitimately) dislocated her right shoulder, which would require six weeks of rehabilitation. She continued to feud with James by proxy throughout May, bringing in and working with Beth Phoenix until Phoenix suffered a broken jaw.

Stratus returned to the ring in late June, where she started a (kayfabe) romantic relationship with Carlito when he saved her from a double team attack from Melina and Johnny Nitro. Their feud continued to Saturday Night's Main Event, where they were victorious against Nitro and Melina in a mixed tag team match. Stratus and Carlito then went on to briefly feud with Edge and Lita, and they teamed up against them on several occasions. In late August, Lita stated that Stratus would retire following Unforgiven, which was later confirmed by Stratus. Stratus wrestled her final RAW match on September 11 in Madison Square Garden, defeating Mickie James, whom she hugged after. At Unforgiven, in her home town of Toronto, Stratus defeated Lita by using fellow Canadian Bret Hart's signature submission maneuver, the Sharpshooter, to win a record seventh WWE Women's Championship and retiring as champion. The belt was officially (albeit not on camera) vacated the next evening on RAW.

After wrestling
Starting in late November 2006 through mid-January 2007, Trish temporarily moved to Muncie, Indiana for the CBS unscripted show Armed & Famous. The concept was that Trish was one of five celebrities who trained as volunteer officers with the Muncie Police Department. After finishing their training, the celebrity officers and their real officer partners were followed around by camera crews on legitimate police calls. Although the show was scheduled to broadcast seven episodes starting on January 10, 2007, CBS canceled the series after just four of the episodes were aired.[6]

After the cancellation of Armed & Famous, Stratus was announced as the host of The Second City's Next Comedy Legend. This contest, endorsed by the The Second City comedy troupe and scheduled to be aired on CBC in eight episodes starting July 10, 2007, is a comedy version of the the worldwide Idol singing competition phenomenon. However, unlike the various international versions of Idol, a panel of celebrity judges, instead of counting viewer votes, will eliminate one performer per week until the winner is determined. Stratus has described the show in an interview as sketch comedy version of America's Next Top Model.[7]

At the 2007 NHL Awards, Trish along with George Strombolopoulos presented the Vezina Trophy.[8] Martin Brodeur won the award for the third time in his career. [9]

Stratus' parents are named John and Alice, and she has two younger sisters: Christie and Melissa.

Trish is married to Ron Fisico. Her wedding included many WWE superstars, past and present. Her gown was featured on a cover of Today's Bride magazine.

Trish has repeatedly been asked to pose nude for Playboy, but has turned every offer down. According to Stratus, "I've always been a fan of leaving things to the imagination. Playboy is not really something I'm interested in. If people want to see a sexy image of me, I think I can still give it to them (without taking my clothes off)."[10]
