42. SHERRI MARTEL, 58 POINTS

Sherri Martel (born Sherri Russell)[1] (February 8, 1958 – June 15, 2007) was an American professional wrestler and valet, better known by her ring name, Sensational Sherri.

Throughout her career, Martel competed in the American Wrestling Association (AWA) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) as Sherri Martel, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) as Sensational Sherri, Sensational Queen Sherri, Peggy Sue, and Scary Sherri, and in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as Sensuous Sherri and Sister Sherri.

After training under The Fabulous Moolah, Sherri Martel debuted in 1980. She eventually joined the AWA, and on September 28, 1985 at SuperClash she defeated Candi Devine for the AWA World Women's Championship. Later that year, the title was taken from Martel and awarded to Devine, but Martel regained the title on October 17, 1985.

On April 20, 1986 Martel won a battle royal at WrestleRock '86 that included Devine, Debbie Combs, Rose Devine, Joyce Grable, Kat LeRoux, Despina Montegas, Misty Blue Simmes, and Luna Vachon. On May 10, 1986 she helped Buddy Rose and Doug Somers win the AWA World Tag Team Championship. Having previously vacated the AWA Women's Championship, Martel defeated Devine on June 28, 1986 to begin her third reign as champion.

In the spring of 1987, Martel began managing Kevin Kelly. Her most memorable moment as his manager came when she interfered in an arm wrestling match between Kelly and Tommy Rich on ESPN's AWA Championship Wrestling. Rich got immediate revenge by cornering the escaping Martel and ripping her dress off to reveal a strapless pink teddy and black stockings. In the following weeks, Rich would come to ringside during Kelly's matches and taunt Martel with her stolen dress.

On May 2, 1987 Martel defeated Madusa Miceli at SuperClash 2.

On July 24, 1987 Sherri Martel debuted in the WWF and defeated The Fabulous Moolah for the WWF Women's Title. At this time she was still the AWA's Women's champion, however, losing this title 3 days later. This makes her the only wrestler (woman or man) to hold a world title for two major organizations at the same time. Renaming herself Sensational Sherri, she reigned as WWF Women's Champion for fifteen months, taking on opponents like Debbie Combs, Velvet McIntyre, and Desiree Peterson. At the 1987 Survivor Series, Martel's team consisting of Martel, The Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai and Judy Martin), Dawn Marie, and Donna Christanello lost to The Fabulous Moolah's team consisting of Moolah, Velvet McIntyre, Rockin' Robin, and the Jumping Bomb Angels (Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki). It was on October 8, 1988 that she was finally defeated for the title by the young fan favorite Rockin' Robin. In the early months of 1988, she portrayed Peggy Sue, the valet of The Honky Tonk Man, while appearing as Sherri in the same period (Peggy wore sunglasses and a blonde wig, so she was not recognizable). She was often jealous of Miss Elizabeth and even attacked her during one match. When the WWF phased out its women's division in 1990, Martel remained with the company and turned her attention to managing male wrestlers.

At WrestleMania V, Martel appeared backstage and mocked both Rockin' Robin and Miss Elizabeth. After the main event, Martel confronted Miss Elizabeth. This led to a brawl between Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. Throughout the remainder of 1989, Martel and Savage feuded with Hogan and Elizabeth. At the 1989 SummerSlam, Hogan and Brutus Beefcake defeated Savage and Zeus. After the match, Elizabeth knocked out Martel with her purse, and she, Hogan, and Beefcake cut Martel's hair (a long ponytail hair extension). Shortly after, she became known as Sensational Queen Sherri, as Savage defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan to become King of the WWF. At the 1990 Royal Rumble, Martel appeared on the "Brother Love Show" with Sapphire. After insulting the "common woman", Martel was slapped by Sapphire. At WrestleMania VI, Martel and Savage lost a mixed tag-team match against Sapphire and Dusty Rhodes after Elizabeth, who was in the corner of Sapphire and Rhodes, interfered and shoved Martel. At the 1990 SummerSlam, Martel defeated Sapphire by forfeit when Sapphire failed to appear for the match (It was later revealed that she had betrayed Rhodes and was now working for Ted DiBiase). Martel and Savage also appeared on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous with Robin Leach. At WrestleMania VII, Savage lost a career match against The Ultimate Warrior. Martel attacked Savage but was thrown from the ring by Elizabeth, who was watching from the audience. When she and Savage parted ways following the career match, Martel became the right hand woman of the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase.

She managed Ted DiBiase until early 1992 and then parted ways with him after she announced that she was in love with Shawn Michaels; she also sang Michaels theme song called "Heartburn" then renamed Sexy Boy. She would go on to manage Michaels during his feuds with Bret Hart and Rick Martel (who had a flirtatious relationship with Martel). She also appeared on Family Feud during this time, representing the WWF. During this time, Michaels had a brief feud with Savage, and Sherri attacked both Elizabeth and Mike McGuirk at ringside during the matches. One night in late 1992, Marty Jannetty, Michaels' former tag team partner, entered the ring before one of Michaels' matches. He grabbed Martel's mirror; and when he swung the mirror at Michaels, Michaels pulled Martel in front of him, and she was smashed with the mirror. Martel disappeared but returned to the WWF at the 1993 Royal Rumble. She was in a neutral corner for the match between Michaels and Jannetty. Near the end of the match, Martel confronted Michaels outside the ring and slapped him. At the end of the match, she entered the ring to smash him with her shoe, but he ducked, and she hit Jannetty instead. Michaels finished the match and won, while Martel fled the ring in tears. Backstage, Michaels confronted her, and Jannetty came to her rescue.

The following week, Martel thanked Jannetty, and she later appeared in his corner for a match against a jobber. There were rumors that the WWF was planning to hire Madusa and promote a Martel/Jannetty vs. Michaels/Madusa feud, but Jannetty left the WWF before this ever happened. Martel was soon left without anyone to manage and found herself accompanying Crush and Randy Savage to the ring for their matches against Michaels at house shows. Most matches ended when Martel would be invited into the ring, and she would slap Michaels.

At WrestleMania IX, Martel accompanied Tatanka for his match against Michaels, who brought Luna Vachon with him. After the match, Luna attacked Martel, and they began feuding. On the April 12, 1993 edition of RAW, Martel attacked Luna in the first women's segment on RAW. This erupted into a catfight that spilled into the audience, and both women ripped each other's clothes off. Throughout April and May 1993, Martel also appeared in United States Wrestling Association (USWA). She wrestled Miss Texas (Jacqueline) and helped Randy Savage in his feud against Jerry Lawler (who ripped off Martel's dress after she interfered in a steel cage match). On May 31, 1993 Martel appeared in the returning Jannetty's corner for his match against Bam Bam Bigelow on RAW. After the match, Martel called Luna into the ring for a fight. Bigelow interfered, and Tatanka ran to her rescue. During this time, Martel and Luna began having matches at WWF house shows. A couple of weeks later, Martel interrupted an interview with Bigelow, and Tatanka again came to her rescue. When Martel was scheduled to face Luna on TV one week, Luna came to the ring with her arm in a cast (she had broken it in an earlier match against Martel). Bigelow and Luna attacked Martel, and Tatanka yet again saved her. This was going to lead to a mixed tag team match pitting Martel/Tatanka against Luna/Bigelow at the 1993 SummerSlam, but Martel was fired for not passing a drug test [2]. In interviews granted at the time (as well as an article appearing in the WWF Magazine), it was claimed that Martel left the WWF to attend cosmetology school.

Martel re-emerged in Smoky Mountain Wrestling later that year and feuded with Tammy Sytch. She also appeared in the independent NWA promotion. On October 22, 1993 at the NWA Weekend of Champions, Martel accompanied Terry Funk against Kevin Sullivan (with Woman). After the match, Martel attacked Woman and put her in a head-scissors. She then appeared at the NWA Bensalem Bash on October 30, 1993. Martel, with Kathy Fitzpatrick in her corner, defeated Jim Cornette (with Tammy Sytch in his corner) in a "loser gets spanked" match.


[edit] Extreme Championship Wrestling
In autumn of 1993, Sherri joined ECW and soon managed Shane Douglas to the ECW World Championship.

ECW began promoting a feud between Martel and Madusa and scheduled a match between them at November to Remember on November 13, 1993. Madusa had just signed a WWF contract, so Martel faced Malia Hosaka instead. At ECW Ultraclash '93, Martel wrestled in a battle royal against Tigra, Angel, Don E. Allen, Jay "Six Pack" Sulli, Freddie Gilbert, and Hunter Q. Robbins, III.

On January 18, 1994, Martel and Woman appeared in a Carver W. Reed commercial. In February 1994, Martel was going to join WCW to feud with Missy Hyatt, but Hyatt left the company. She later made appearances in WCW aiding Kevin Sullivan and Dave Sullivan in spring 1994. On February 5, 1994 Martel accompanied Shane Douglas for a triple threat match against Sabu and Terry Funk. Paul E. Dangerously (Paul Heyman) attacked Martel before the match, but she recovered and was active throughout the match (which ended in a time limit draw). Martel made a brief appearance in the Mexican Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) promotion and accompanied Jake Roberts against Konnan, fighting some dark matches with Mexican ladies Vicky Carranza, Sexi Boom, and Martha Villalobos. A hair vs. hair match was scheduled at Triplemania 1994 between Martel and Miss Janeth (that should take the side of Konnan) but this match was at last rejected. She returned to ECW to accompany Shane Douglas in matches against Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond and then officially joined WCW in May 1994.


[edit] World Championship Wrestling
Martel appeared in World Championship Wrestling in 1994 under the name Sensuous Sherri. She appeared at Slamboree scouting potential new clients in May 1994. [3] She announced that she would manage who she felt was WCW's top star.

At Clash of the Champions XXVII, just as the match between Ric Flair and Sting got underway, Martel approached the ring wearing face paint identical to Sting's. Indeed, she was cheering for him to defeat Flair. Late in the match, Sting attempted to dive over the ropes onto Flair, but The Nature Boy yanked Martel into his path. Sting spent the rest of the match totally distracted and concerned for her, giving Flair the chance he needed to grab Sting's tights for an illegal pinfall and become the WCW Champion. Martel then entered the ring to embrace Flair. The new couple attacked Sting until Hulk Hogan ran them off. She helped Flair in feuds against both Sting and Hulk Hogan.

After Flair lost a retirement match to Hogan, there were rumors that Martel was going to be paired with Steve Austin, but Austin was soon injured and on his way out of WCW at the time (Martel had previously managed Flair and Ausutin in tag team matches [4], and during this time, she was also scheduled to manage Austin and Shane Douglas in a tag team match in ECW, but Austin was replaced by Brian Pillman due to his knee injury [5]). Behind the scenes, Kevin Sullivan wanted her to be the manager of Ron Simmons. However, this was during the time of the Nicole Brown and O. J. Simpson investigation, so they thought that might be pushing it a little. [6] Instead, Martel began managing Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) using the name Sister Sherri (an irony that she discussed during her 2006 WWE Hall of Fame induction speech) [7].

In late 1994 (while still managing Harlem Heat in WCW), Martel made a return appearance in ECW managing Shane Douglas and Brian Pillman (substituting for an injured Steve Austin) against Ron Simmons and 2 Cold Scorpio. It was soon evident that Martel only returned to ECW to humiliate her former protege on behalf of Ric Flair. Late in the match, Douglas tried to pin Scorpio but Martel grabbed Scorpio’s foot and placed it on the rope to break up the count (which Douglas didn't notice). Then Martel went to the top rope and came off with a double axe handle on Douglas. Simmons and Scorpio won after Simmons pinned Pillman. Martel was on the outside showing no remorse for accidentally hitting Douglas. Pillman then went outside and tossed her back in the ring by her hair. Douglas pointed to her chest after Pillman ripped off her jacket and she had a picture of Ric Flair taped to her dress. Douglas ripped the picture off and tore it up, then gave Martel a piledriver for revenge [8].

Back in WCW, at one point in 1995, it was planned for Martel to manage the tag team of Jean-Paul Levesque and Lord Steven Regal. The duo was slated to capture the tag team title with Martel as their manager and feud with Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner. The plotline was for Martel to turn on Harlem Heat during a title match but Levesque decided to go to the WWF despite offers from then-booker Eric Bischoff of working fewer days for more money [9].

At Clash of the Champions XXXI, Harlem Heat and Martel defeated Bunkhouse Buck, Dick Slater, and Col. Robert Parker (11:01) when Martel pinned Parker. Martel hit her head on the mat, and suddenly fell in love with Parker. At Clash of the Champions XXXII Martel and Paker were going to get married, but Madusa interrupted the wedding. She and Martel engaged in a catfight, and then wrestled in the first women's match on WCW Monday Nitro on January 29, 1996 (Martel pinned Madusa).

Martel was then fired in 1996 after developing an addiction to prescription pain killers but cleaned up and returned to WCW by summer of that year. She once again managed Harlem Heat and even became involved in a catfight with Debra on an episode of Nitro [10]. At the 1996 World War III pay-per-view, Martel defeated Col. Robert Parker by count-out. Martel left WCW in the summer of 1997 [11].

In the late 1990's, Martel worked on the independent circuit. Early in 1999, Martel competed in a mixed-tag team match for the AWF World Heavyweight Title (a men's title). Martel teamed with Squeegee Kid against Missy Hyatt and Ms. B Haven. Missy scored an upset, and pinned Martel to win the title. [12] In the summer of 1999, she appeared on the Heroes of Wrestling pay-per-view managing George Steele against Greg Valentine. [13] Also in 1999, she was awarded the AWA Superstars Women's Championship. [14]

In 2000, Martel made a brief return to WCW to wrestle Madusa and Mona. This was during the promotion's short-lived attempt at recreating a women's division. She was originally contacted to manage the newest incarnation of Harlem Heat, but due to a management transition the plans changed. Since she was already backstage, the promoters had her wrestle Madusa on the January 19, 2000 edition of WCW Thunder. [15] She returned and wrestled Mona on the March 11, 2000 edition of WCW WorldWide. After the match, she and Madusa had a confrontation. [16]

In 2002, she made appearances in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) feuding with Victoria and managing Rob Conway. [17] In 2005, Martel appeared at "Wrestle Reunion" in an 8-woman tag team match (teaming with Peggy Lee Leather, Krissy Vaine, and Amber O'Neal wrestling against Wendi Richter, Bambi, Malia Hosaka, and Jenny Taylor). Martel's team was accompanied by Joyce Grable. [18]

In 2005, she made a return to WWE SmackDown! as part of the Shawn Michaels/Kurt Angle feud leading up to WrestleMania 21. There she sang a parody of Michaels' theme song with Angle, but a video showing Shawn's history moved Sherri emotionally. Kurt then saw this and applied the Ankle Lock to her.

She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Ted DiBiase on April 1, 2006. She and the rest of the inductees (excluding Bret Hart) made an appearance at WrestleMania 22 when they were each introduced to the crowd. She was accompanied by DiBiase during her appearance.

On September 4, 2006, she worked for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, taping a backstage vignette trying to offer her managerial services to "free agent" Bobby Roode that aired on the September 21, 2006 TNA iMPACT!; it was her last television appearance.

Tracy Brookshaw (born May 23, 1975) is a Canadian professional wrestler and professional wrestling valet, currently working under TNA Wrestling, better known by her stage name, Traci Brooks.

Tracy Brookshaw grew up on a pig and chicken farm in St. Marys, Ontario. In 2000, she won the Toronto Sunshine Millennium Calendar contest which led to her being named Miss June 2000 and interviewed in the Toronto Sun. Brookshaw went on to engage in promotional modelling work with the Molson, Labatts and Budweiser beverage brewers.

In her interview, Brookshaw said that she aspired to be "the next |WWF] Superstar". This led to her being introduced to Ron Hutchinson, a professional wrestler who operated the Sully's Gym professional wrestling school out of Toronto, Ontario. Brookshaw began training under Hutchinson in March 2000, and debuted in January 2001 as Tracy Brooks.

Brooks appeared with numerous independent promotions, including Border City Wrestling and the Apocalypse Wrestling Federation. During her time in AWF, she worked a program feuding with Gail Kim (then known as La Felina) and was managed for a short time by Canadian hip-hop artist, Dan-e-o. On August 30, 2001, Brookshaw (as Miss Apocalypse) defeated Joey Knight to win the AWF heavyweight title. To this day she continues to do work for independent promotions, including Blood Sweat and Ears in her home region in Southern Ontario and most prominently NWA Cyberspace where she contends for the NWA Cyberspace Women's Championship.


[edit] Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

[edit] Early appearances
Brooks debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling on April 30, 2003 in Catholic schoogirl apparel, attacking Lollipop, a dancer who entertained the live audience during intermissions. The following week, Brooks demanded to be entered in a gauntlet match in which the winner would receive a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, threatening to sue NWA official Bill Behrens for sexual discrimination if he did not comply. When her threats failed, Brooks instead attempted to charm Behrens into allowing her into the match. Behrens then placed Brooks in a triple threat match with fellow female wrestlers Desire and Trinity, with the winner gaining entry into the gauntlet match. After Kid Kash ambushed Trinity and David Young accidentally punched Desire, Brooks won the match. Later that evening, she was attacked by Lollipop as she approached the ring to enter the gauntlet match. After she entered the ring, Brooks was quickly pinned and eliminated by Kid Kash.

On May 21, Brooks was paired with David Young in an "Anarchy Alliance" tag team tournament to determine the number one contenders to the NWA World Tag Team Championships. They defeated Kid Kash and Trinity on May 21 and Ron Killings (whose partner, Don Harris, had refused to team with him) on June 4, but lost to America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) in the finals on June 11.

On the June 18, 2003 TNA pay-per-view, Brooks formed an all-female stable known as "Bitchslap" with Nurse Veronica and Valentina. The stable quietly disbanded shortly thereafter when Veronica turned down a proffered TNA contract and Brooks was removed from television for repackaging.


[edit] With Michael Shane
Brooks returned to TNA on November 5, 2003, helping Shane Douglas defeat The Sandman. On November 26, Douglas and Brooks (known now simply as Traci) helped Michael Shane defeat Sonjay Dutt. Following the match, the trio celebrated, and Douglas announced that they were to be called "The New Franchise".

The New Franchise began feuding with Triple X (Christopher Daniels, Low-Ki and Elix Skipper). The feud lasted until April 21, 2004, when Shane lost to Daniels after he passed up on a pinfall opportunity in order to try and hit his finisher. After Douglas admonished Shane, Shane began pushing and slapping his erstwhile mentor. Traci eventually grabbed Douglas from behind, enabling Shane to superkick Douglas. The following week, Traci helped Shane defeated Douglas in a singles match.

Traci continued to manage Shane, who was by now pursuing the TNA X Division Championship. Shane proved unable to defeat the incumbent champion, A.J. Styles, so he and Traci recruited Frankie Kazarian in order to maximise their numbers advantage. The result was a new stable/tag team that was known by fans as Shazarian. After several weeks of confrontations, Styles defended his title against Shane and Kazarian in a three way Ultimate X match on July 28, 2004. Though he was able to nullify the interference of Traci by giving her a Styles Clash, he was eventually knocked unconscious by the combined efforts of Shane and Kazarian. Shane and Kazarian then climbed for the X Division Championship, and simultaneously retrieved the belt, thus becoming co-champions. They lost the titles to Petey Williams in a Gauntlet Match on August 11.


[edit] With Dusty Rhodes
In late-2004, Traci turned face by leaving Shane and Kazarian and becoming the assistant of the TNA Director of Authority, Dusty Rhodes. However, Trinity also wanted to be Rhodes' assistant, so he told each woman to recruit a new tag team. The teams would face one another at Destination X 2005 on March 13, 2005, with the winning team's manager becoming Rhodes' sole assistant. Traci's team (Don and Ron Harris, the Disciples of Destruction) defeated Trinity's team (Big Tilly and Bruno Sassi - Phi Delta Slam), making her Rhodes' assistant.


[edit] With Michael Shane once again
Traci eventually left Rhodes' side and began managing Chris Sabin, who was feuding with Michael Shane and Trinity. At Lockdown on April 24, she tried to prevent Trinity from interfering in a four way X Division Xscape elimination match between Sonjay Dutt, Chris Sabin, Shocker and Shane. Her attempt failed when Trinity pushed her off the side of the cage and she landed on her bare feet, seemingly injuring herself in the attempt. This led to Trinity executing a Fall from Grace moonsault from the top of the cage and landing on top of Shane, Sabin and Shocker. Traci would later get into the cage and engage in a catfight with Trinity. The feud continued until Hard Justice on May 15, when Sabin and Traci lost to Shane and Trinity. In the course of the match, Traci turned on Sabin and Shane turned on Trinity, with Traci aligning herself with Shane once again and Trinity siding with Sabin.

Traci began managing Shane once again and stayed with him when he changed his name to his real name, Matt Bentley. When Bentley sat out during contract renegotiations in August 2005, she did some interview work for TNA. At Unbreakable on September 11, Traci acted as a backstage interviewer throughout the event. She returned to Bentley's side after his return at Unbreakable.

In February of 2006, Bentley went on to turn heel and dispute with long time tag partner Lance Hoyt. Following the feud, Bentley was sidelined with an injury. Traci did promotional work for the company during the downtime.

On the May 15th taping of iMPACT!, she wrestled Gail Kim in the first woman's match in over a year. The match was taped purely for the forthcoming TNA Knockouts DVD and not for the Spike TV program. Gail Kim gained the pin after interference from America's Most Wanted. At Hardcore War 2006 she defeated Gail Kim with Christy Hemme as referee.


[edit] Managing Robert Roode
Traci was announced as Robert Roode's manager at Bound for Glory 2006, and now goes by the name "Ms. Brooks." She managed him during the Fight for the Right Tournament at the October 28 iMPACT. She lost to Eric Young in a bikini contest at TNA Turning Point. After this, she was told to sign Young to a contract, no matter what - no matter what it took to do it. In the past few weeks, Ms. Brooks has been (kayfabe) pressuring him into having sex with her. Finally, at Against All Odds 2007 Ms. Brooks successfully seduced Young into signing a contract with "Robert Roode Inc.". After sometime without a storyline, she now entered a rivalry with Gail Kim and was defeated at an Impact taping. At Slammiversary she was taken out by Gail once again.

Debra Gale Marshall (born March 2, 1960[1] in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) is an American real estate agent and former professional wrestling manager and WWE Diva. She is best known by her ring name, Debra. She is perhaps best known for her appearances with World Wrestling Entertainment between 1998 and 2002. Before becoming involved in wrestling, Debra was a beauty pageant participant, winning the runner-up for Miss Texas USA in 1984.

Debra was a track runner, cheerleader, and Homecoming Queen in high school before attending the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York. She then became a flight attendant before joining World Championship Wrestling along with her husband, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, in 1996.

Debra was originally one of many women who would stand on the entrance ramp and clap as Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage entered the ring. On one occasion, she sat at ringside while her husband performed announcing duties. Then, Ric Flair hit on her, and she threw a drink in his face, which caused Mongo to demand a match with Flair. At the Great American Bash 1996, Mongo and his partner Kevin Greene competed against Flair and Arn Anderson. Late in the match, Woman & Elizabeth chased Debra McMichael & Terri Greene backstage. Debra McMichael returned a few minutes later with a metal brief case and gave it to her husband; Steve McMichael opened it and found a IV Horsemen T-shirt and a lot of money. Flair won the match after Mongo and Debra turned on Greene due to the brief case.[2] After the match, Chris Benoit came out and the reformed Four Horsemen continued to attack Greene.

During this time, Debra bickered with Woman. Mongo and Chris Benoit frequently had to step in and separate them from their disagrements. Debra would usually have the last word after Woman and Benoit had left the area.

Later in the same year, Jeff Jarrett came over to WCW from the WWF, and expressed his desire to join the Horsemen. He immediately gained a fan in Ric Flair and Debra, much to the chagrin of the other Horsemen (including Mongo). She eventually helped Jarrett defeat Mongo to gain membership by forcing Mongo to team with him. Just as the duo had began to co-exist peacefully, Debra and Jarrett turned on Mongo. Next, Debra recruited Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Bill Goldberg, and Alex Wright into a shortlived stable, which disbanded when Debra left WCW (and divorced Mongo).

In 1998, Debra rejoined Jarrett in the World Wrestling Federation. At the beginning of her WWF career, Debra played the part of a shrewd businesswoman, wearing business suits and rarely smiling. She often helped Jarrett win matches through cheating and interference. Following Survivor Series: Deadly Games in November 1998, Jarrett began a feud with "The Bizarre One", Goldust. A match was set for December 1998 at WWF In Your House: Rock Bottom. Goldust announced that it would be a "Striptease Match", meaning that if Jarrett won, Goldust would have to strip naked, but if Goldust won, Debra would have to strip naked. Debra played mind games with Goldust in the weeks prior to the match by flashing him in order to distract him and cost him matches.

On December 13, 1998, Jeff Jarrett faced Goldust in the Striptease Match. The crowd was strongly behind Goldust because they wanted to see Debra strip. However, Debra hit Goldust over the head with Jarrett's trademark guitar, enabling Jarrett to win. This meant that Goldust had to strip. However, WWF Commissioner Shawn Michaels ruled that, since Debra had hit Goldust with a guitar, Jarrett was disqualified, meaning that Goldust was the winner, and Debra had to strip. Debra was hesitant at first, but soon warmed up to the crowd, and stripped down to her bra and thong. However, before Debra could unhook her bra, The Blue Blazer (a disguised Owen Hart) entered the ring and covered her up, just as Shawn Michaels took off her bra.

From that point on, in every Jeff Jarrett match, Debra would take off her blouse and show her bra in order to distract Jarrett's opponents. The strategy was normally successful, and it helped Jarrett and partner Owen Hart to defeat The Big Bossman and Ken Shamrock to become World Tag Team Champions. Jarrett became a defacto face as a result of Debra, who would willingly take off her blouse to show the crowd her "puppies" (a nickname originally bestowed by wrestler Road Dogg and immortalized by commentator Jerry Lawler).

It wasn't until February 1999 that Debra had her first feud with a female, Ivory, in the WWF. The feud began with small catfights, but it escalated to wrestling matches. The first match that Debra was invovled in saw her team with Jarrett against Ivory and D'Lo Brown on Monday Night RAW. Ivory and Brown won by disqualification after Debra hit Ivory over the head with a guitar. They also fought in a tag match at WWF St. Valentine's Day Massacre where Jarrett and Owen Hart retained their tag titles against Brown and Mark Henry, who were accompanied by Ivory. On March 1, 1999, Ivory stripped Debra during Jarrett's match. Debra then challenged Ivory to a match backstage, and Ivory accepted. On one occasion, Debra beat Ivory due to the interference from PMS (Terri & Jacqueline). During the month of April, Debra continued to manage Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart.

On May 10, 1999, Debra "won" the Women's Championship from Sable in an Evening Gown Match.[3] Technically, in an Evening Gown Match, the winner is the woman who forcibly removes her opponent's dress. Because Sable removed Debra's dress, she therefore should have been the winner. However, Commissioner Shawn Michaels ruled that he considered the woman who had lost her dress the winner, crowning Debra the new Women's Champion. During her reign, she rarely defended the title, instead remaining a manager.

Jarrett and Debra then began feuding with Val Venis and Nicole Bass, culminating in a match at Over The Edge 1999 on May 23. The match that took place immediately after Owen Hart died after falling from the top of the arena while preparing for a stunt. The feud ended in a bikini contest between Debra and Bass, which Debra won.

Debra lost the Women's Title to Ivory on June 14, 1999 due to the interference from Nicole Bass. Debra was choking Ivory with a scarf when Nicole entered the ring and choked Debra so Ivory got the pin. Subsequently, she continued as Jarrett's manager. Jarrett began mistreating her during July and August, complaining that every match he lost was her fault. Jarrett then began another feud with D'Lo Brown. The two met at SummerSlam 1999, with Debra in Brown's corner. However, Brown's former tag team partner Mark Henry turned on him, along with Debra, resulting in Jarrett winning both the WWF European Championship and the WWF Intercontinental Championship. The following night, Jarrett awarded Henry the European title and gave Debra an assistant, Miss Kitty. However, he soon turned againist Debra in favor of Kitty, after blaming her for a mixed tag team loss to Stephanie McMahon and Test. After losing that match, Jarrett applied the Figure Four Leglock on her. Finally, at Unforgiven on September 26, Debra turned on Jeff Jarrett, becoming a face, in the middle of his match against Chyna for the Intercontinental Championship. She smashed Jarrett's guitar over his head and told him she was no longer going to manage him. Chyna pinned Jarrett, but the referee overturned the decision due to Debra's involvement.

The next night on RAW, Jarrett and Tom Prichard challenged Chyna and Debra to a mixed tag match. Chyna accepted but added the stipulation that if she won, she would get a re-match for the Intercontinental Championship. Just as Chyna was about to lose, Debra got into the ring and pulled Jarrett's hair, and then Miss Kitty entered the ring to confront Debra. Debra also took her down by her hair. Chyna later pinned Jarrett, so Chyna and Debra won the match. Chyna was rewarded a re-match at No Mercy. In the following weeks, Chyna and Debra continued to feud with Jeff Jarrett and Miss Kitty.

Debra appeared sporadically thereafter, participating in an 8 women Sudden Death Match for the Women's Championship at Survivor Series Terri got into the ring to break up the pin when Debra got in and stripped Terri. At the end of 1999 Debra got an offer from Playboy to appear nude in the magazine however she turned down the offer.

In 2000, she acted as Ring Announcer for the World Tag Team Championship match between Edge and Christian against D-Generation X's X-Pac and "The Road Dogg" Jesse James at Backlash.[4] She disappeared in the summer of 2000, but made a full-time return in the fall of that year, playing the role of Lieutenant Commissioner[5], the assistant of Commissioner Mick Foley. By this time, Debra had married Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the marriage was incorporated into onscreen storylines, such as the buildup of Austin's match with The Rock at WrestleMania X-Seven.

Debra disliked her husband's heel turn at WrestleMania X-Seven, but still stood by him as he slowly descended into madness throughout his reign as WWF Champion. It wasn't until Austin joined The Alliance during the InVasion angle that Debra officially turned heel again, and she began wearing tight black t-shirts with Stone Cold written on them and leather pants. While she didn't accompany Stone Cold to the ring for his matches, she did join him in backstage segments and in interviews. She also started baking cookies, which she served to the other Alliance members. The cookies supposedly tasted terrible, but no one told her, except a somewhat tactless Austin. On August 2, 2001, Debra hit Austin with a tray in the middle of the ring after he repeatedly interrupted and disrespected her. One week later on RAW, Stone Cold and Debra took on Matt Hardy and Lita. Debra and Lita fought outside the ring until Stone Cold stunned Lita and won the match.[6]

In early 2002, Stone Cold entered into a feud with Triple H. This led into an argument between Debra and Stephanie McMahon on January 14, 2002. The argument turned into a battle when Debra slapped Stephanie and pulled her down by her hair. They fought for about 2 minutes until WWF officials separated them.[7]

Debra retained an on-screen role with Stone Cold even after the Alliance angle ended and Stone Cold had turned face again. However, her appearances became more and more infrequent, as she wasn't involved in any actual angles or storylines, and she just made random appearances backstage.

After the WWF changed its name to WWE in 2002, Debra made even more infrequent appearances. On June 3, 2002 Debra was shown with Stone Cold discussing both RAW and SmackDown! and about who Stone Cold would have to wrestle. On June 10, 2002, Debra was shown in a backstage interview about an incident between Lita and Austin. Debra's final appearance was on a the live guest show WWE Excess where Debra and Trish Stratus guested. The show aired two days after her last RAW appearance.

In late June 2002, Austin walked out of WWE and Debra followed, and she has not been seen in the wrestling business since. On January 15, 2006, Debra was reportedly backstage at TNA Final Resolution 2006.[8]

During her stint in the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance, now WCW) Missy always had an opinion handy on anything. Especially when engaged in a conversation with Paul E. Dangerously (ECW's Paul Heyman). At that time in her career Missy didn't think twice about wearing revealing clothes and showing off her visible assets. Many a guy hoped that Missy would be appearing during the TV broadcast just to catch a glimpse of the 'blonde bombshell'.

Don't think that she's "all show and no go" though. Throughout her career she has managed a number of wrestlers including John Tatum, Eddie Gilbert, The Steiner Brothers and The Nasty Boys and has worked for the UWF, NWA, USWA, CWF, WCW, ECW, NCW. She has proved she can do it all - announcer, color commentator, manager, valet and a wrestler.

Missy disappeared for quite awhile after problems in the WCW. Supposedly (this is one of several stories) during a match Missy had been jumping up and down on the ring apron excitedly and inadvertently "popped" out of her top. Apparently a picture of the 'memorable moment' was posted on someone's wall at the WCW offices. Missy filed a sexual harassment suit and was fired from the WCW in 1994.

She entered the ECW for a short period of time before quitting the wrestling scene to continue her education to be a nurse. Missy has proved she's still got her eye on a wrestling career though, since she recently won the AWF (Apocalypse Wrestling Federation) mixed tag-team belt by pinning a stunned Sherri Martel. Strangely enough she lists her occupation as College Student and Weekend Wrestling Manager.

On the January 1, 2007 edition of RAW, Lilian was attacked by Victoria, targeted as an 'undeserving diva' by Victoria and placed on her hit list. Victoria attempted to execute her Widow's Peak on Lilian, but Mickie James came to Lillian's rescue.

At New Years Revolution, after Mickie James won her match against Victoria, Lilian got in the ring and raised Mickie's hand along with the referee, Candice Michelle, and Maria.

Marshall's first actual feud on the brand came against Jillian Hall. Marshall defeated Hall in her first match - a "Divas Uncovered" match - on the March 10, 2006 SmackDown!.[11]

When fellow Diva Search contestant Ashley Massaro joined SmackDown!, Marshall turned heel, revealing a (kayfabe) bristling jealousy towards Massaro over her win in the 2005 Diva Search.[12] She aligned herself with Michelle McCool and the two feuded with Massaro and Jillian Hall.[13] This led to a Fatal Four Way Bra and Panties match at The Great American Bash,[14] during which Marshall was (legitimately) injured.[15] Despite her injury, she maintained her feud and gained victories over both Massaro and Hall in singles matches.[16][17]

When 2006 Diva Search winner Layla El arrived on SmackDown! Marshall immediately warned her about trying to make a name for herself.[18] On the October 27, 2006 edition of SmackDown!, Marshall won a "Trick-Or-Treat" Battle Royal over Jillian Hall, Michelle McCool, Ashley Massaro and Layla El when Mike "The Miz" Mizanin pulled Layla (who he'd been having issues with) off the ring apron.[19] This led to a short term teaming of Miz and Marshall in a short feud against Layla, during which Miz and Marshall found themselves being "stalked" by The Boogeyman.[20] This feud ended after The Boogeyman moved into a feud with Finlay and Marshall was placed back into her role as a backstage interviewer.

Beginning in February 2007 Marshall began a storyline which had her as a close friend of Vickie Guerrero, who was mysteriously planning something,[21] and then flirted with SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long.[22] On the April 27, 2007 edition of SmackDown!, Marshall confessed her love for Long then sealed it with a kiss.[23] Marshall and Long then went on to be a couple as Marshall helped Long search for an assistant so they could spend more time together.[23] She suggested Guerrero, who would be interviewed and hired for the position on the May 18, 2007 edition of SmackDown!. On the June 22, 2007 SmackDown!, Long (kayfabe) asked Marshall to marry him in the ring. With tears in her eyes, she ran away to her dressing room. 34. NANCY "WOMAN" BENOIT

After graduating DeLand High School, Nancy got a job answering phones at an insurance agency.[5] When George Napolitano needed a beautiful young girl for the cover of the June 1984 edition of the pro-wrestling magazine Wrestling All Stars, fellow photographer Bill Otten suggested the 20 year old Nancy Toffoloni Daus for the role.[1] Nancy, who had worked as a model,[1] often sat alongside her then-husband Jim to watch matches and was no newcomer to being involved with professional wrestling. Nancy, who had been selling programs at the Orlando shows, also appeared as Para in the old "Apartment Wrestling" features. It was on this shoot where she met Kevin Sullivan, who eventually wanted her to be a part of his wrestling entourage. After months of convincing, Nancy finally became an on-air valet, taking the name Fallen Angel, a reference to a song by Led Zeppelin.[1] She made her in-ring debut on July 7, 1984 at the Lakeland Civic Center in Lakeland, Florida for Florida Championship Wrestling.

She became a part of Kevin Sullivan's stable of (kayfabe) "Satanists", which also included wrestlers Luna Vachon, The Purple Haze, and Sir Oliver Humperdink.[1] Nancy and Kevin Sullivan traveled throughout the United States using the "Satanist" gimmick for promotions such as Angelo Savoldi's ICW and Southwest Championship Wrestling. The two married in 1985.[1]

In 1993, Kevin and Nancy surfaced in the fledgling ECW, where--once again called simply Woman--she managed Sullivan and The Tazmaniac to the ECW Tag Team Championships. When Kevin re-sought the greener pastures of WCW, Nancy remained in ECW, going on to manage Sandman and 2 Cold Scorpio. Once again, she almost seamlessly re-invented herself to fit with The Sandman's gimmick--opening his beers, lighting his cigarettes, and destroying his opponents with her own kendo stick.[1]

She first appeared in WCW as a "fan" of Rick Steiner named Robin Greene, wearing a Steiner T-shirt and large glasses. She would sit in the audience and would interact with Steiner whenever he appeared. She eventually turned on him, aligning herself with Kevin Sullivan and adopting the name "Woman."

After being dumped by Sandman and Scorpio in ECW, she once again resurfaced in WCW, first appearing on the January 29, 1996 edition of WCW Monday Nitro as one of many women who stood in the aisle and waved as Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage came to the ring. She stayed at ringside, but she soon turned on Savage and rejoined Flair, Arn Anderson, and Chris Benoit in the then-current incarnation of the Four Horsemen. Miss Elizabeth also managed the stable.

In 1996, the Horsemen added Steve McMichael and his wife Debra,[1] which didn't sit well with Woman. In her next angle, the two bickered, not getting along in general. The Four Horsemen were often given interview time on Nitro and when it came time for Debra to speak on the mic, she'd often go into a soliloquy regarding Woman's looks and fashion sense--usually when the two weren't within the vicinity of each other. Despite the heavy tension, the two managers never had a physical altercation.

At the same time, she started an on-screen relationship with Benoit, rubbing it in Sullivan's face, her real-life husband at the time.[1] On December 7, on WCW Saturday Night, while announcer Tony Schiavone was conducting a post-match interview with Sullivan, he played a home movie of the couple in front of him. They were shown canoodling in a kitchen. Woman taunted Sullivan by saying, "You can't find me" and "I'm my own woman." Benoit taunted Sullivan as well by saying, "You consider yourself the master of human chess. Well, my bishop just took your queen." After the video, Sullivan stood there speechless, and his manager Jimmy Hart led him off stage.[8] Eventually, the Benoit-Nancy on-screen relationship developed into a real-life affair off-screen.[1][5] This resulted in a feud between Benoit and Sullivan that saw Woman clashing with Sullivan's then-valet Jacquelyn at ringside. In one match, the two ladies were strapped together, took shots at each other, and used the strap connecting them as a weapon against the men.

Nancy's final WCW appearance (and professional wrestling appearance as the character 'Woman') took place on May 26, 1997 on WCW Monday Nitro as she accompanied Benoit to the ring for a confrontation with Jimmy Hart regarding the whereabouts of Sullivan, who wasn't in the arena.[9] On the following week's show, Benoit came alone to ringside without her by his side. After managing him for a little over half a year, no reason was given for Woman's sudden disappearance, and she was never mentioned on WCW programming again.[10]

Sullivan and Nancy (off-screen) divorced in 1997, and (on-screen) Sullivan lost a retirement match to Benoit.[1] It is often joked that 'Kevin Sullivan booked his own divorce'. Sullivan's intent was to retire from in-ring action and focus on booking. As a booker, Sullivan caused Nancy to (off-screen) quit wrestling when she refused to be topless in an angle Sullivan created for a PPV.

Before her marriage to Kevin Sullivan in 1985, Nancy had previously been married to and divorced from Jim Daus.[1]

Nancy and Benoit became engaged in 1997 after her divorce from Sullivan that same year, although Benoit only referred to Nancy as his fiancée even after they were married.[1] Although her days as an on-air performer were over, she did actively manage her husband's career from their home in Atlanta.

She gave birth to her son Daniel Christopher Benoit on February 23, 2000.[1] Nancy married Chris Benoit on November 23, 2000.[1] However, in 2003, she filed for divorce, citing the marriage as "irrevocably broken" and alleging "cruel treatment."[12][13][5] She later dropped the suit, as well as a restraining order filed on her husband.[12][5]

In December 2005, Nancy had back and neck fusion surgery with Dr. Lloyd Youngblood.[11]

On June 25, 2007 Nancy, her husband Chris, and their son Daniel were found dead in their home in suburban Atlanta at around 2:30 p.m.[14] It first was reported to fans of WWE by their WWE Mobile Alerts service and posted to their official Web site soon after. Some details were released by the police during a press conference on June 26.[2][6] Through their Web site, World Wrestling Entertainment released the following statement:[15]

“ World Wrestling Entertainment was informed today by authorities in Fayette County, Ga., that WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son were found dead in their home. Authorities are investigating, but no other details are available at this time. WWE extends its sincere condolences and prayers to the Benoit family and loved ones in this time of tragedy. ”

WWE canceled the scheduled three hour long live RAW show on June 25, and replaced the broadcast version with a tribute to Benoit's life and comments from wrestlers and announcers.[16]

Fayette County, Georgia police are investigating Benoit's house following the discovery of the bodies. Lieutenant Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department reported to ABC News that it was being investigated as a double murder-suicide,[17] and the police were not searching for any suspects outside of the house, as the instruments of death were located at the scene of the crime.[18]

The same day Detective Bo Turner of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department told television station WAGA-TV that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide.[19]

During a press conference Tuesday, June 26, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard confirmed that Chris Benoit had killed his wife and son. His wife was bound at the wrists and feet. While there were no signs of restraint on his son, both died of asphyxiation. It is reported that his wife died on Friday, his son died on Saturday, and Benoit hanged himself later by the cord of a weight machine in his basement on early Sunday morning. Benoit died of asphyxiation. It was also reported that there was a Bible by both Nancy and Daniel's bodies.[2]

Nancy and her son Daniel were cremated in Georgia and their memorial took place in Daytona Beach, Florida on July 14, 2007.

32. LISA "IVORY" MORETTI, 81 POINTS

In 1986, Moretti attended an audition held by the newly formed Las Vegas, Nevada-based Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling professional wrestling promotion. She was successful in her audition, and went on to train under Mando Guerrero. and debuted in GLOW in 1986 as Tina Ferrari. Moretti teamed with Ashley Cartier as "T and A", with the duo winning the GLOW Tag Team Championship, and defeated Colonel Ninotchka to win the vacant GLOW Championship, represented by a crown. She held the crown for 17 episodes of GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling before losing to Ninotchka. Like many of the GLOW wrestlers, she wore a thong type outift which led to oftern provocative poses in the ring.

After the founder of GLOW, David McLane, left the promotion in the late 1980s, Moretti left GLOW and joined McLane's newly formed Powerful Women of Wrestling promotion. Moretti wrestled in PWOW under the ring names Nina and Tina Moretti, winning the POWW Championship on two occasions. She remained with the promotion until it went bankrupt, at which point she largely left the wrestling industry.

In 1999, Moretti returned to wrestling, signing a contract with the World Wrestling Federation. Her first appearance in WWF was as one of The Godfather's anonymous "Hos".

On the February 13, 1999 episode of RAW, Moretti was introduced as Ivory, the love interest of Mark Henry, who had repeatedly been spurned by Chyna. Moretti managed the tag team of Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown, assisting them in their feud with Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. Her interference in matches led to several confrontations between Moretti and Debra, Jarrett's Manager. Moretti made her televised WWF in-ring debut on the February 15 episode of RAW, teaming with Brown to face Jarrett and Debra in an intergender tag team match that ended in a no-contest. Moretti faced Debra in a single match on the March 1 episode of RAW, defeating Debra by disqualification after she was attacked by the Pretty Mean Sisters (P.M.S.). She went on to feud with P.M.S. throughout March. At WrestleMania XV on March 28, Moretti accompanied D-Lo Brown and Test to the ring for their World Tag Team Championship title match against Jarrett and Hart. Jarrett and Hart retained their titles following interference from P.M.S. and Debra.

Moretti began challenging for the Women's Championship by April. After severing her connections with D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry, she won the title on June 14, by defeating Debra with the assistance of Nicole Bass. Moretti defended her title against plants and jobbers for several weeks, then went on to retain her title in a bout with Tori at SummerSlam 1999 on August 22. Moretti continued to feud with Tori in the weeks following SummerSlam, defeating her in the first ever WWF women's Hardcore Match on September 6. Next, Moretti was challenged by Luna Vachon, who Moretti defeated in a Hardcore Match at Unforgiven 1999 on September 26.

In October 1999, Moretti feuded with the The Fabulous Moolah, who defeated her for the Women's Championship on October 17, 1999 at No Mercy 1999. She defeated Moolah in a rematch on the October 25 episode of RAW, winning her second Women's Championship. Her second title reign ended with a loss to Miss Kitty in a Four Way Swimming Pool Evening Gown Match on December 12 at Armageddon 1999.

In late 1999, Moretti began playing a more conservative character, labeling audience members who enjoyed risque matches "perverts". On January 23, at the 2000 Royal Rumble, she grudgingly took part in the "Miss Royal Rumble" swimsuit contest, which was won by Mae Young. She challenged Jacqueline for the Women's Championship throughout early 2000, but was unsuccessful on each occasion. On the March 23 episode of SmackDown!, Moretti attempted to win the Hardcore Championship by breaking a jar on champion Crash Holly's head while giving him a massage and then attempting to pin him.

After an absence, Moretti returned to WWF television on October 23, 2000 as a member of the conservative Right to Censor faction. The change in gimmick saw her don less suggestive ring attire and adopt a severe bun. Moretti quickly began a feud with Women's Champion Lita, and on the October 31 episode of SmackDown!, she won the Women's Championship by defeating Lita, Jacqueline and Trish Stratus in a Fatal Four Way Match. She retained the title against both Lita at the 2000 Survivor Series on November 19 with the assistance of Right To Censor leader Steven Richards and in a Triple Threat Match against Trish Stratus and Molly Holly at Armageddon 2000 on December 10.

After Chyna posed for Playboy Magazine in late 2000, she incurred the wrath of Right To Censor, and on the December 11 episode of RAW, Moretti and Val Venis delivered a double-team piledriver to Chyna, (kayfabe) injuring her neck. Chyna challenged Moretti for the Women's Championship at the 2001 Royal Rumble on January 21, 2001. Moretti retained her title when she pinned Chyna, who had appeared to reaggrevate her neck injury. Chyna challenged Moretti for the title once more at WrestleMania X-Seven on April 1 and squashed Moretti in a brief match, thus ending Moretti's third reign as Women's Champion. Right To Censor disbanded shortly thereafter, with each of the member disappearing from WWF television.

Moretti returned to WWF television on the August 6 episode of RAW, joining The Alliance. She went on to manage The Hurricane, assisting him in his feud with Matt Hardy. In September 2001, she also managed Lance Storm. At No Mercy 2001 on October 21, Storm and The Hurricane were defeated by the Hardy Boyz. Moretti went on to compete in the women's division, and on November 18 at the 2001 Survivor Series, she participated in a six pack challenge for the vacant Women's Championship, which Trish Stratus won.


[edit] 2002-2005
In early 2002, Moretti served as a trainer in the second series of Tough Enough. After the World Wrestling Federation was renamed "World Wrestling Entertainment" and the roster was split into two "brands", RAW and SmackDown!, Moretti was drafted to the SmackDown! brand. She briefly feuded with Tough Enough winner Linda Miles before leaving WWE television to travel the world promoting WWE house shows. Along with several other SmackDown! wrestlers, Moretti was traded to RAW in exchange for The Big Show in November 2002. Throughout the remainder of 2002, she teamed with Victoria and feuded with Trish Stratus.

Throughout 2003, Moretti wrestled sporadically in the women's division, challenging for the Women's Championship on several occasions. Her only pay-per-view appearance in the course of the year was on December 14 at Armageddon 2003, where she unsuccessfully challenged Molly Holly for the Women's Championship. She also served as a trainer in the third series of Tough Enough. Ivory's last match in WWE was during an episode of Heat in late December 2003, where she fought Victoria in a #1 Contenders Match. However, Victoria won the match with the Widow's Peak.

In early 2004, Moretti spent nine weeks working as a trainer at the WWE developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. In May 2004, she and Todd Grisham began hosting WWE Experience, a weekly television show that recapped events from RAW and SmackDown!. In January 2005, Moretti's contract was restructured to reflect her role as an announcer, and the new contract entitled her to wrestle on the independent circuit. WWE Experience was canceled in August 2005. On July 22, 2005, several weeks before WWE Experience ended, WWE announced that Moretti's contract would not be renewed.

After leaving WWE, Moretti began working in the landscaping industry. Following Hurricane Katrina, she became involved in charity work aimed at assisting the victims of hurricanes. Moretti also wrestled sporadically on the independent circuit (under her own name, as WWE had trademarked "Ivory"). On November 19, 2005 in Spartanburg, South Carolina at "A Tribute to StarrCade", she teamed with Bambi to defeat Team Blondage (Krissy Vaine and Amber O'Neal) for the CCW Tag Team Championship. On April 21, 2006 in Surrey, British Columbia, Moretti defeated Rebecca Knox for the SuperGirls Championship. She lost the title to Nattie Neidhart on October 8, in Newark, California.

31. BETH PHOENIX, 93 POINTS

Amateur wrestling and early career
Beth began wrestling on the Elmira, New York Notre Dame High School amateur wrestling team. She was the first female varsity wrestler in her high school's history. She became the North-East freestyle women's champion (72 kg weight class) in 1999. She also became the women's champion (72 kg weight class) at the New York State Fair Tournament in 1999 and was named the most outstanding wrestler that same year in the Brockport Freestyle Tournament. At the time she was also a member of USA Wrestling (a freestyle wrestling club). Her life goal was, according to her, to become a professional wrestler and she believed that having a solid amateur background would help her reach it. After graduating from High School in 1999, she enrolled in both a professional wrestling school and Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. Her first choice for wrestling school was Stu Hart's Dungeon, but because of the location she decided on a more local school. At the school, she was trained by the All Knighters--Joey Knight and Robin Knightwing, who themselves were trained in the Hart Dungeon. She made the rounds competing with various independent companies including a match for the now defunct MadMar Entertainment in which her back was cut open due to a steel chair accidentally cutting her.[3]


[edit] Ohio Valley Wrestling
Beth debuted on OVW Television in July of 2005 as Chris Masters' on-screen girlfriend and valet. The angle was short lived and in August 2005 Beth became the manager of Aaron "The Idol" Stevens. The duo were then joined by Shelly Martinez who Beth soon feuded with at the beginning of 2006. Beth then stopped appearing regularly on OVW after debuting on WWE's RAW show.

On August 16, 2006, Beth returned to action in OVW as the surprise opponent for Serena in a number one contenders match - she was hand picked by OVW Women's Champion ODB herself to be the opponent. After a distraction from Charles Evans, Phoenix picked up the win hitting Serena with her Down in Flames finisher.

The following week, both Serena & Phoenix wanted a title shot, so ODB said if they can beat her in a tag match, the pinfall winner would receive a shot. Serena won the match for her and Beth's team by pinning newcomer Katie Lea (but only after Beth hit the Down in Flames on Lea and was forced to leave the ring as she wasn't the legal woman in the match). So, in the interest of fairness, the following week, it was announced that there would be a women's battle royal with the title on the line - Beth, Serena, Katie Lea, and ODB were the final four women in the ring, with ODB eventually coming out on top.

The following week, ODB put her women's title on the line in a four-way that also featured Beth, Serena & Katie Lea. Serena won the match following a spear on ODB, but after the match Phoenix laid out Serena with her newly won belt. At the October 4, 2006 OVW TV Tapings, Beth defeated Serena to capture the OVW Women's Championship. On the November 4 show, Beth lost the OVW women's title to Katie Lea in a gauntlet match - defeating Roni Jonah, Melody, Ariel, and Jenny Mae first. Lea, Serena, ODB, and Beth were the final four in the match with Lea coming out on top.

Phoenix & Lea entered into a feud with each other, with Beth claiming that Lea never defeated her for her title so she was still the champion, Beth even came out with her own version of the OVW Women's Championship. This brought out Danny Basham OVW's TroubleShooter, who told Beth her title wasn't real, and that after doing some digging Lea's title wasn't real either, he set a ladder match up where the winner would become the undisputed OVW Women's Champion, Lea came out ontop in the match, and on the first show of 2007 was presented with the new belt, Phoenix, took the belt from Basham, and after taking a look for herself, handed the Belt to Lea and shook her hand. In early 2007, Beth became involved in a "love triangle" along with Dan Rodman and Jacob Duncan.

Beth Phoenix debuted as a face for brief time on the May 8, 2006 episode of RAW attacking then heel, Mickie James during her assault on Trish Stratus. After this incident, James berated her for "ruining everything" and questioned why she even showed up in the first place.

A week later, Beth was formally introduced by Trish Stratus and then battered a distracted Mickie on Trish's behalf. When Mickie finally escaped, Beth claimed that Mickie had ruined her life and wouldn't let her get away with it, before calling her a psycho. On the following edition of RAW, Beth, now an official RAW diva, again attacked the Women's Champion after her match with then RAW diva, Torrie Wilson. On the May 29, 2006 episode of RAW, Beth teamed up with Torrie Wilson (with Stratus in their corner) to take on then heel, Candice Michelle and then RAW diva, Victoria (with Mickie James in their corner). Beth pinned Candice after a Down In Flames.

The following week, on the June 5 episode of RAW (in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), Beth came out to the ring with a new theme. She suffered a fractured mandible during a match with Victoria,[4] but was victorious despite the injury. The injury required surgery to place a titanium plate into her jaw, which forced her out of action for an estimated two months.

On the July 9, 2007 edition of RAW, Beth returned as a heel replacement for Melina as Jillian Hall's tag team partner in a losing effort to Mickie James and Candice Michelle. She has been appearing regularly on RAW since then, usually tagging with Melina.
