Why the heck would they hire guy with known drug problems be in charge of training young wrestlers? He wasn't great wrestler nether. I don't get it He's been clean since his release, and he IS a really good wrestler.

Then why don't they hire him back on WWE? Why make him a trainer like an older guy should be?

It sounds like he did not get rehired by WWE, but I wish him the best.

Why the heck would they hire guy with known drug problems be in charge of training young wrestlers? Working for WWE, they'll need experience in rolling their own joints, when to pop the right pills, and how to properly inject themselves with steroids.

He may be clean, but this is a makeshift slight re-habbing process that they're handing off to him. Not only can he apply his skills to helping the younger wrestlers, but he also can get his "wrestling legs" back so to speak.

You know that WWE may not have hired him and instead OVW hired him seperately.

I betcha it was political. Rehiring a guy who failed a bunch of drug tests and I'm assuming he's sober now, it shows that Vince McMahon will only work with 'sober' people. Vince, can use this situation as a counterpoint to a lawyer's question.
He failed a test, got fired.......got clean, got rehired. Its a win win.

Maybe he didn't want to get his face smashed in by another ladder and asked to be a trainer?

wwe don't really care about the beginner's class since they just rookies who have just started learning how to fall. It was probably OVW's decision.

WWE has stated before if Joey ever cleans up there's a place for him there, maybe this is the first step. He knows he has a problem, he's said it in interviews, but WWE's going to atleast try to get him somewhere, not because their good people, because he's a hot prospect and brought out the best in Nitro when they teamed up, watch Nitro's IC run then watch when Mercury rejoins, Nitro looks a lot better and they actually come off as heels.

Whatever happened to Christian York? According to Wrestlezone (link may contain spoiler): Johnny Jeter (Formerly of the Spirit Squad) is now teaming with Christian York. They debuted at the 8-8 OVW TV Taping, and were in a non-televised match against KC and Kassidy James the following night at the DCW TV Taping

He knows what it's like to have everything handed to you on a silver platter, and try to take it all at once. He's been to the edge, and is a prime example of a young wrestler throwing it all away. The students can learn from his life. 10 bucks says this has already been posted.

If he ever comes back to WWE, he has to be renamed Joe Manzarek.
You know, like Ray Manzarek?
From The Doors?
I'll be in the corner.
