Should any of the 10 be fired as an example?
I think so. An example needs to be made. WWE needs to show itself as an organization not supporting this type of behavior. Randy Orton may be a top star, but he has been in so much trouble. If his previous incidents come out in discussions on the topic, it could make the promotion look that much worse.
I personally believe even more athletes on the WWE roster have been using illegal substances and have lucked out not being named. Seeing some firings may scare them straight.
And WWE should not fear firings. If they would, I highly doubt TNA would want to touch the released wrestlers. A promotion without drug testing hiring a wrestler let go by another company for drug-related issues? TNA wants to get into the national spot light. Even though they hired a scumbag Pacman Jones (this coming from someone who cheered the guy when he played for my college, WVU), I doubt they would want this type of publicity.
Even if they don't fire anyone, I think a depromotion is needed. Maybe send 5 to OVW and 5 to Florida. Let things cool down. Maybe let the 10 know they are on the bubble and everyone else know they are too.

Depends on how many other screwups they've done, and i think they have that in place anyway.

No, because none of them are on their 'third strike' (which results in a firing).
If one of the suspended wrestlers were on their third, though, I'd be all for it.

1st strike - 30 days 2nd strike - 60 days 3rd strike - Fired
That's the system as I've come to understand it.

There might be a system, but it is flawed.
We know they were buying illegal drugs. They have a drug system as a way to keep the roster clean. It shouldn't be seen as something to dodge and still use these substances as they please. It makes the WWE look like they support it honestly. How can someone be tested for drugs yet still buy them and obviously use them?
3 strikes are fine when the drug testing was appropiate. It obviously wasn't.

Orton. Would make my week. ;D You took the words right out of my mouth. Orton definitely deserves to be canned. Though I'm not so sure about TNA wouldn't hire him. "Any publicity is good publicity." It may be a cliche, but it's true to some extent. I don't want to start a political debate, but didn't Bush's popularity increase after he basically admitted drug use in the 2000 campaign? It made him seem more human or something they said. If that kind of publicity can turn out to be good, just about any can be good. Besides, I really doubt the media would even care. I'm sure we won't be picking up a USA Today with a headline reading "What The Hell? Wrestling Organization Hires Athlete Fired For Drug Use By Competitor!"

THEY HAVE NOT BEEN CONFERMED, if it does not happen to be Mr Orton he could sue Madison Carter or Wrestlecrap

Orton's gotta be close to fired, and I'm guessing that Vince might be looking for a prominent scapegoat for PR purposes, showing the media that he's serious about running a clean locker room. Firing Funaki isn't going to show the world that he's no longer as tolerant of this kind of stuff.
Sooner or later, Orton will show up on SpikeTV, and we'll know who he is, but we won't know why he's there.

We dont know how many strikes they've gotten before, the wellness policy was changed to say "suspension w. out pay but still can perform" some of these guys could well be past their first strike.
Orton is gone I would bet, and more heads will roll as more info comes out. Guaranteed. Its not going to stop at just 30 days for some of these guys.
