John Morrison is the Shaman of Sexy, or the more popular title of Harry Potter and the Shaman of Sexy. *Bows and favors you with tender kisses on the forehead*

Great match, but Morrison has all but lost the in-ring character that made up for his lack of outstanding mic skills. The cocky psychotic that lets his brutality and violent demeanor (or a valet) do the talking for him...
And then there's his music which doesn't fit him at all.
He's still my favorite "true" wrestler but I find him rather flawed.

Yeah I find him flawed too, more character-wise than in-ring skill-wise...plus i'm not happy with the spot that ended the match (just risk-wise). I'm not going to say how Morrisson should be punished for his wellness violations, after all he went over somebody kayfabed injured here...still i won't be very happy if he suddenly becomes ECW champ @ Cyber Sunday.

I'm beginning to think that the IWC will NEVER be satisfied with the product, We could have Shelton Benjamin as WWE Champ and people would say " Well I don't think his mic skills are quite good enough to be in the main event...He botched that one spot 2 months ago...blah blah blah." *end rant*

Maybe ballet is more suited to your tastes then? (Seriously dude, this is WRESTLING, what's wrong with a few *gasp* strong spots here and there?)

I was perfectly happy the week after he won the belt and I would get a massive rush of adrenaline seeing the violent, "focused" main event flavor of my favorite guy wrestling. I'm sorry, but after the match, he seemed so wooden. It was like he had no idea what he was supposed to do. I just want a theme change so he's got something definite and he can be the cocky psychotic he's been so close to being.

Good show. Great Main Event. Crowd seemed lame.

The point I was trying to make is that the way Punk landed was NOT that good, in fact it could've ended very badly for him. You shouldn't do a spot like that when somebody's still clearly working off ring rust. And god forbid you put the safety of the workers first.

I was thoroughly entertained by that main event, and really the whole show was pretty good. I don't care what Morrison does in his personal life and whatnot, but he is a great wrestler and can really go. ECW is right now my favorite show. It has a good mix of young and old guys that are putting on good matches and don't get weighed down by the over the top storylines. I feel like ECW is almost like the WWE of the 80's. If you look at CM Punk as Hogan, than right now BDV is his King Kong Bundy or other giant guy to beat and Morrison is the Ted Dibiase guy. The one that's always a heel and stands for the exact opposite things as Punk. The storylines are more believeable and simpler than on the other two shows. The Balls vs Miz story is very simple, it's just two guys fighting over a girl. What guy can't understand that.
I hope ECW gets an extra hour soon, as this show is one that seems to entertain me week in and week out. They just need to make sure not to put any of the top guys from Raw or Smackdown on it and it will be perfect.
Having a secondary title for guys like Thorn, Burke, Tommy, Stevie etc. to fight for would be great too.

I'm just saying that the spot was most likely MEANT to look that way. I could be wrong but it seemed like it was perfectly executed, Punk didn't seem hurt at all afterwards.

I know he wasn't hurt, I was just wondering if it made a lot of sense to do a spot like that with one person who hasn't wrestled in over a month. In retrospect, yes. But still.

Strangely.....Morrison doesnt look any different. Normally you can tell someone is off the juice Once again, if you're Lagana's pet project, you're beyond good and evil the law.
