Cena would've been a Vanilla Ice ripoff.

John Cena as The Marine wouldn't be over period. No amalgam of cheers and boos, just stares. Word Life Cena, on the other hand, would get mad heel heat in the early 90s.
Hornswaggle and Khali would certainly be over.

Cena would've been a Vanilla Ice ripoff. Vanilla Ice would have been a Cena ripoff, actually, since Mr. Van Winkle didn't make his presence felt until the early-'90s, IIRC.

Here's today's wrestling history lesson, courtesy of your teacher, uwf circa 1986: Big Daddy V is the current day Bad Leroy Brown. Born Roland Daniels in 1950, gained fame in the ring as Bad Leroy Brown which he got from the Jim Croce song “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown”. ("He was badder than ol' King Kong and meaner than a junkyard dog"). Brown wrestled for Verne Gagne's American Wrestling Association, Mid-South Wrestling, Bill Watts' Universal Wrestling Federation and Jim Crockett Promotions during the 1980s. Bad Leroy Brown worked under the name “Elijah Akeem” as a member of the Zambuie Express along with Kareem Mohammad and he was an elite member of the House of Humperdink. He was the enforcer of Skandor Akbar's Devestation Inc. with stablemates One Man Gang, Wild Bill Irwin, and Savannah Jack. Brown had a few famous feuds, notably with “Nature Boy" Ric Flair in several arm wrestling competitions. Bad Leroy Brown died on September 6, 1988 after suffering a massive heart attack.

My guesses (TNA):
Abyss James Mitchell (didn't Kevin Sullivan have a devil gimmick around the same time) Black Machismo (since some Savage guy was already doing this act around this time) James Storm Disco Inferno Matt Morgan = Muscular Big Bubba Steiner Brothers Petey Williams (in an era with little flippy spots, Petey would have been one of the most over people due to his uniqueness)

Khali would be HUGE over. Mark Henry, especially if they literally painted a silver stripe on his back and gave him King Kong like music. If Khali had been able to go one-on-one with Andre..it would have been the biggest thing since sliced bread. On the other hand, you couldn't pay me to watch that match.

Snitsky would be over. Sadly Rob Conway was 18 years too late, as I think the "Con Man" would have been a natural fit with "The Model".
