- One Soundscan source reports that Lilian Garcia's new CD didn't even break the Top 200, selling less than 3,800 units. The number 200 entry on the list sold 3,897.

I think part of the problem is no one can find it, I was lookin at my local Wal-Mart and K-Mart, and couldn't find it, but I love her album, me being part latino may be part of the reason but who knows. ok I just like lookin at her....

Maybe it shows just how many females really watch wrestling. And Lillian doesnt really promote herself to kids either or young females. So I can see this as being true.

I think she should have advertised on smackdown more. They have a big Hispanic audience.

She sang in Spanish. What did you expect? Shakira's album was in Spanish before it was released in English but that didn't bomb. So, yeah...no excuses, really. |

I'm not denying Lilian can sing. But her voice has never been particularly appealling to me. She's got a great voice. But these days, many other singers have the same sorta voice. So it's really difficult to pick someone jusy by their voice to market. Which is why looks have been a factor too. But yeah, I barely knew Lillian had an album out and if I didn't know or people here didn't know, I doubt the rest of America knew. |

I would put it's failure down to the fact it's aimed at women but was being advertised on a show watched mainly by men and it was in Spanish.
But even then it still should have sold a lot better than in it did. I figued it would at least cracked the 200.

Well, the live concert wasn't exactly setting the world on fire as I'm sure some of the fans would've rather seen a match or at least an interview segment to fill that void.
Not surprised, she's not a prominent enough figure to make people want to go out of their way to get her album.
