In December of 2002, WWE did Smackdown here in Dallas. On the same day, Hulk Hogan was doing a book signing in a Dallas/Ft Worth suberb, about 20 minutes from the American Airlines Center. So my friends and I were certain Hogan would return to SD that night.

It was the night of the Edge vs. Eddie vs. Benoit vs. Angle fatal 4 way to determine the challenger for Big Show's title at Armageddon. They did the angle to take out Edge early in the show, which upped my confidence that Hogan was coming out to take the spot. But instead, Edge limped out and did the match that Angle would go on to win. My friends and I were shocked when Hogan didnt return that night.

He would instead return about a month later to start the angle with Vince and do the stuff with Rock.

That is actually a good observation. I can see X29 appearing on the screen, and then only the parts of the symbols that you have erased will fade and reveal Y2J!

Just something amusing to add since I saw the video again. I think it was supposed to be tonight and they had to change it, because if you watch the video, they threw in a 'please stand by' screen in there that really doesn't fit.
