I was 13 at the time. My mom didn't let me and my sister order the PPV, so I didn't get to see it. I woke up the next morning about to get ready for school, anxious to find out who won the WWF title match between Austin and Taker. The next thing I know my mom is yelling for us from the other room. "Do you all know Owen Hart?", she asked. "Yeah, why?" "Well it just said on the news he was killed last night from a fall." At that point, any excitement I had was gone. I was shocked. Watching Raw later that night was strange as well. One of the saddest memories I have from wrestling. I still haven't seen that PPV and really have no desire to.

I'll never forget I was on my senior trip to Aruba. Sunday actually was the 1st day we got there and later that night I was in the bar and I happened to watch some of the main event not much of it cuz I was too buzy taking advantage of my free alcohol wristband So I was oblivious that anything had even happened. I heard about it watching the news and thought it was a fake cuz I had seen the crow sting dummy fall from the rafters on NITRO and figured that the media thought it was real and then I think another news station reported on it. Then RAW is Owen happened I only saw bits and pieces of it I couldnt bring myself to watch it especially on a class trip and it put a big damper on the next 5 or so days that I was supposed to be enjoying. So I get back home and go to wwf.com and see all kinds or RIP Owen Hart stuff and WOW I was blown away.
:::sigh:::
I remember getting the WWF Attitude game that was dedicated to him and playing as him a few times and I never let him lose. I used to get shook up because one of his pre-match comments was "prepare for the wrestling lesson of your life!!!!"
I thought it was a nice nod that in the character selection he was #3 right under The Rock & Stone Cold.

I think he was the WWF Champion on Career mode.

I was in the military at the time. There was a bar/club on base that would show all WWF events and charge a $3 admission to get in. So myself, and a few buddies went to watch it, and like Jezzy said earlier once they cut to the interview we knew something was up. Then Once JR said there was a problem, and King said it didn't look good, The packed place with at least 300 people in it was absolutely silent. Then when they resumed the show and JR announced, before the main event that Owen had died everyone in the place raised their drinks in a small tribute to the man. The next night when we were watching Raw in the barracks TV room, it was a sight, 5 or 6 Army guys, myself included, bawling like babies. I still get a little emotional whenever they show clips from that Raw.

I was at a friend's house, with a few others watching it-i honestly don't remember much about the show EXCEPT for owen. I really didn't think he was hurt that bad when they first reported it, but once they reported he was infact dead-damn, that was an awful moment.
Oddly enough, I was the only one there that taped the show to keep, but for that one and only time, my VCR was set on the wrong channel, and it didn't record.
Very sad day
