I haven't been reading the 222 threads lately, but the "conjecture" is probably based on hints WWE stuck in there. If so, then yes they did imply it.
Either way, it's worn out its welcome. They need to get to the payoff. How many PPVs are we supposed to go through before they get on with it? At least the original millennium clock gave a specific time. After next week or so it's gonna stop getting people excited and start getting them pissed off. For a lot of fans, it already is.

They are dragging this out too long. I haven't watched RAW in months but tuned in tonight because everyone was acting like tonight was going to be the night. I won't be watching next week. I'll just watch it on YouTube. If by everyone you mean smarks, then sure. But WWE never once said or even implied that Jericho would be returning tonight, it was smark hype and conjecture that went wild and now people are pissed that WWE supposedly swerved them when it was their own fault for getting worked up over a bunch of videos. Pretty much. Vince has most of you here wrapped around his finger over these videos.

or when he doesn't show up and everybody does the "they promised him" no they didn't they are just getting people to watch the shows and find more clues.

We didn't see alot of things on Raw tonight.
We didn't see Bobby Lashley, we didn't see any of the ECW wrestlers, we didn't see dynamite, we didn't see alot of things!
Oh, and that Jericho guy either.

As far as it dragging on to long, I don't think it is. For once WWE is seeing a hype angle through instead of rushing it. Everyone complains when they rush it now a lot of people are complaining that they're taking too long. When ROH did Project 161 (which 222 ripped off) they started it out back in like May and then payed it off in September.

Now I don't expect him to return at all.
I'm convinced that "Save Us" is actually Edge.

Undertaker's return at Wrestlemania XX went, what, five months? Now I don't expect him to return at all. I'm convinced that "Save Us" is actually Edge. They're already promoting Edge for Survivor Series; that would make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I'm going to assume you don't follow ROH, because it went over quite well both at the Chicago debut (getting great heel heat) and continued being over in Edison. Necro, Jacobs, and Black may already be three of the most over heels in the company.

Here's an idea. We should all say we don't expect him to comeback so WWE will think, "Hey! These people aren't expecting him." And the Y2J debuts sooner than later! ;D

The bottom line is that the SAVE_US hype vids are generating interest, I don't think they'd rush something that's getting all the fans (not just us, mind the constant Y2J chants in the arenas.) curious and excited about the shows again. If you think they're not making a difference in viewer interest, just check out the Raw thread from earlier. I'm enjoying the wait by the way, makes the next show seem more special, because you never know when the next vid could pop up or what could happen when it does. Props to whoever came up with this.

How long did they hype it when Undertake ran in during the HHH-Rock matfch with HBK as the ref?
