live episodes of SmackDown has there been? I remember an episode from a few years being advertised as being live. I just can't remember any specific occurrences of the show being live.

I think they were four of them as far as I know, one in August 01, another in January and March 02, and if you are counting the live SD on Tuesday they did with Rey vs. Big Show and Orton blowing up Eddie's limo in November 2005.

Wasn't the SD where Mark Henry struggled with the lock on the cage door live?
Or did I think it was live because I thought it was ridiculous for that not to be edited down in taping?

A live feed of that taping was released online, but that show was taped as usual without Henry struggling for what seemed to be an eternity with the cage door.

There was a live episode after September 11, I know that much. That's right, I forgot about that one, the night where they let Steph get the mic and try to compare 9/11 to the Steroid trial.

I was at the live one in August '01 when they had the Booker T v. Rock in the street fight before summerslam. That was also the debut of the fist through glass set. Also remember the sept. 13th episode of SD that was a tribute to 9/11

Was "Smackdown X" live? Does anyone else remember that? I don't think so. The main event if I recall was Angle vs. Rock vs. HHH, and Angle somehow retained when Austin ran interference and cost Trips the match, but I don't think he actually touched him as they had that stip going into No Way Out 01 where they couldn't touch one another.

Only match I remembered was The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudleyz in a tag team tables match that ended in a BuhBuh Bomb off of the stage.
