Classic heel stuff to work the crowd, such as getting frustrated when the crowd chants the faces name that the heel is feuding with. I like some of the cheap heat like insulting local sports teams too, those can be funny sometimes.
Edge kicks the ropes sometimes when he's angry, which reminds me of that stuff. I liked the old school time waster where heels would accuse the other guy of hair pulls, forcing the ref to question the guy. =)

whenever the heel aknowledges what the crowd is saying and then exploits it.
IE: Vince - crowd chanting you suck says "Coach does not suck!" or when they're chanting asshole "dont you dare talk about my wife like that!"

I alwalys love in TLC/ladder matches, right before someone does something really crazy, that little moment when both guys are like "OH F**K THIS IS ACTUALLY GOING TO HAPPEN." I've never been sure how much of that is fake/real.
