I informed my girlfriend that Masters was suspended again and her response was that she felt bad for him. That was her first thought. Mine was that he is an idiot...so I asked why she felt bad. Her answer was that his gimick is his body...and without the body he has nothing (she didnt mention HHH's jab at him when he lost all his muscle mass a while back, but it came to mind). So Masters is stuck in a damned if you do, damned if you dont situation.
Now maybe its his fault for hitting the sauce to begin with...but if he wasnt all jacked up, would the WWE ever have offered him a job in the first place?
She kind of has a point and I do sort of feel bad for him.
On a side note, she called DH Smith an idiot for using steroids after witnessing steroid abuse take his father's life.

I refuse to believe that Vince McMahon doesnt have a hand involved when it comes to his wrestlers hitting the juice. Seriously as buff as Vince is, how would he have time to run a business? You dont get that jakked unless you dedicate a majority of your time to do it. If Vince is dirty, how can you blame his employees for what they do?

I do...hes natural and a lot smaller - JBL and HHH, the top dogs in the company rag on him in segments and during his matches...Ive met chris and hes a very nice guy to all his fans, he can be decent too, but they've only given him one decent fued (HBK)

Maybe he should develop some personality, that can make up for lack of wrestling skills pretty well (look at Santino).

Yeah, I feel bad for him too...
When he was on steriods he got a huge push.
He gets suspended, loses his push...which i have no problem with.
Comes back smaller, lost in the shuffle and a jobber
Gets bigger again, starts to get a push...or at least a story line again.
Just to get busted.
I mean, he shouldn't do it at all...but when he didn't, he got jobbed out versus having some success when he did.

I really liked the "mini-feud" he had with Super Crazy when he returned. Yes, it was basically having Crazy beat him, but they put on some decent matches (and when he started back on his push, he got some wins back. Remember the Wheelbarrow Slam?)
He had a good chance of being the "Power" to a new "Power and Glory" team. I wish he'd lay off the stuff, as I really like his work and would enjoy seeing him build to a real star.

I do not feel sorry for Chris Masters. At all. If he were to lay off the drugs and get a more "normal" sized body, then it's up to WWE to give him a more suitable gimmick.

Somewhat as everyone keeps claiming he was caught with steroids even though his past violation was Painkillers. Now I'm not saying he's not on them or whatever... but he was not caught for them the first time. (possibly the second but they only released names not what for)

Maybe if the only way he can succeed in professional wrestling is take steroids, he isn't in the right line of work.

I have always enjoyed Chris Masters. For a while he was one of my top two or three guys on the Raw Brand.
So yea, I feel bad for the guy. He can't be "The Masterpiece" unless he is totally jacked up, and you know as well as I do... the company will never give him a chance to do anything different. Basically he is screwed either way. If I was him, I'd be looking for a way out of the WWE.

I suppose that I could have some sympathy for a guy whose gimmick is based around his body but gets busted for 'roids.
It's kind of like not letting Van Hammer play the guitar and/or sing... oh wait..

I feel bad because he just can't win whatever he does. I don't think he's cut out for the wrestling business. And, he's still young he should try something else.

I can't feel bad for him making stupid decisions, but I do feel bad for the circumstances that bred those decisions. It's basically a situation of "You worked hard to slim down and get rid of the super roided look. Good for you. Now, get buff again, or we'll job you constantly." It's a real damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

They gave him a friggin physique gimmick! Now tell me that anyone can keep that body up while on the road so damn much.

He's been in rehab for painkillers, so its entirely possible that he was caught with them again.

I feel bad for him. He gets off the sauce, gets smaller, and starts putting on better matches, only to be depushed and mocked for his loss of size on worldwide television. Can anyone blame him for going back to it? Seriously?

Its too bad his name isnt Batista, otherwise the steroids wouldnt be a problem...bessides his own health.
I was thinking about this last night...I think what Masters needs is a face turn. He needs to go natural and turn face...change his gimmick and personality completely. It may not be very sucessful, but it will get him out of the pickle he is stuck in.
