You know how they always say"That was a textbook manuever," usually when referring to dropkicks, scoop slams, vertical suplexes, etcetera.
Well, aside from "Wrestling For Dummies" type shit, is there actually a textbook? Because I think it's high time for one. A prestige format, 300 or so pager, textbook style, hardcover, with diagrams on how to do moves safely and make them look good.
There'd be articles on recovering a match after a botch, selling, the different styles of wrestling, how to treat titles, interacting with the crowd, etc.
There'd be formally written, but personal editorials about different aspects from different wrestlers, who WWE would draw in from around the Wrestling World. My dream list would be: Jericho, The Rock, Austin, Foley, Hogan, Brooklyn Brawler, Rob Van Dam...
The list goes on.
The book would be made available, at Textbook prices, to Wrestling Schools and indie promotions throughout USA and beyond, to Mexico, Canada, Europe and Japan.
Anyone have articles they'd want to see? People they'd want to contribute?

While I think this to be a good idea, it also has the problem of kids reading it and thinking they know how to wrestle and then end up putting moves on their friends and hurting them... then we'd have to deal with the backlash.

Chapter 1 Review-
1. Name the major NWA territories circa 1978.
2. True or False: A wristlock is a wristwatch.
3. If a promoter (your boss) tells you to do the job (do YOUR job) and drop the title, you: A) Do as he/she says. B) Cry and whine and sandbag the match, but ultimately do it, but make your opponent look horrible. C) Flat out refuse to lose in your home COUNTRY.

Even though she's being serious, and I think there would definitely be a small niché market for it:

So basically a wrestling coach/trainer type book? Exactly. Sold exclusively to wrestling schools and promotions. bobby heenan needs to have some serious input into this book, as well Hell yes. Damn it, I knew this would turn into a joke thread, but I thought it might be interesting to hear what wrestling fans would be interested in learning about.

I'm kind of surprised that there isn't one. Maybe thats a taboo thing to do within the business? To sell the 'secrets' of pro wrestling?
