Oh NO! This is sad.
No one truely ever knew the REAL fabulous Moolah. Shw was the toughest female wrestler in the history of pro wrestling, bar none.
RIP Moolah, you will be missed.

It's too bad to the new generation of fans, she's just that really old chick who would randomly accompany the other really old chick who flashes her breasts.
Here's hoping the WWE makes some strides to correct this perception soon, as Moolah is a legend who more than deserves her share of credit.
RIP

This isn't saddening for me at all. The woman was 84 years old. She got to live a full life, and got to keep having fun on TV well past her prime. God bless you, Moolah. You were one hell of a charismatic lady.

Yes, but Moolah was working on screen as of just three months ago. Sherri hadn't worked for WWE for about 15 years. Moolah also had a close relationship with the McMahons and Sherri didn't. 15 years? I believe the last time she was there was when she and Angle were mocking Michaels. And weren't they going to bring her in as a agent for the female workers? That was the idea, apparently.

Alright then, so I don't see where she didn't get along with Vince. I know she was let go because of her demons, but I have never heard of her being in the dog house with Vince & Co.

Just finished watching that survivor series match that was posted a page or two back...good stuff. The action didn't stop and went on for almost 20 minutes. Poor Monsoon could hardly keep up with them. And I loved how the legendary Moolah and the champ, Sensational Sherri, were both eliminated midway through the match. These days, in a match like that, you usually see those types as the final contestants, which makes things so predictable. I wish wrestling (men or women) was a little closer to that style today.

To me, this is kind of like when Freddie Blassie died: I knew they were both old, I knew they had both had health problems. But somehow I still didn't expect them to die.
I was watching WrestleMania III just a couple nights ago, with Bob Uecker going nuts over the Fabulous Moolah, and her accompanying King Harley Race as the "Queen of Wrestling".
An appropriate title, I suppose. God bless you, Moolah, and thank you.

They DID put her in the Hall of Fame in life, so they must of had respect for her, to say the least, so I doubt it was an issue. Have they put Moolah in yet? One assumes they will now, if they haven't before.

Another Wrestler to add to the already longlist of Wrestling Deaths in 2007 R.I.P Moolah, But atleast she lived a long life. I must say i thought Mae Young would be the first of the 2 to Kick the Bucket, But it's still sad none the less

That is really sad to hear she really was a pioneer of women's wrestling, but at least she did get live a full life. RIP Fabulous Moolah and thank you for the memories you will be missed.

Wow....there better be one hell of a tribute on RAW this week.
Moolah gave us a lot of entertainment well after she was retired.
Anyone know who her last opponent was?

Her last singles match was against Victoria on Raw in 2003. Her last match was on Smackdown teaming with Mae Young in 2004 taking on Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie.
