Since when has "Jesus Christ" become a censorable term? And why? Well Loki, it's because of Standards and Practices.

How come they won't censor the thing we WANT to not see, like Big Dick Johnson Lenny is a wise man. Read above statement and see why.

The Score's censoring of Raw is really f***in stupid. I don't know why they feel the need to, as networks like CTV broadcast uncensored versions of the Sopranos, I once saw Showgirls on it, CBC is filled with tits and ass and cursing.
Raw and Don Cherry are the only two things Canada cenors, the rest of the stuff is already censored when we get it (such as the Daily Show).

Since when has "Jesus Christ" become a censorable term? And why? actually for a long time. It's considered kind of a swear word if not used to directly talk about Christ himself. Considering it's taking the Lord's name in Vain, so of course people would be offended by it being used as a psuedo swear word.

Since when has "Jesus Christ" become a censorable term? And why? Because Jesus isn't Canadian, duh. Well I always thought it's weird that cartoon network censored the line, "Sweet zombie Jesus" from Futurama.

Yeah, in Ireland they didn't censor 'Jesus Christ' but I'm pretty sure they got everything else. Strange...

There's no reason at all to edit it on a show broadcast to plenty of non-Christians

Jesus Chr... ehm I mean... whatever.
It's quite stupid IMO. If they had to censor everything that goes against the 10 Commandments (and the Bible itself), we'd only have Congregational TVs and little more.
Censorship is silly. I'd understand it for real swears (a no-no everywhere I guess), but extending the ban to the mere NAME of Jesus is beyond pharisaic.

When Score does censor some words, they bleep it after or before the word is already said.

If you watch the original tape of the Steve Austin/Mike Tyson incident from January of 1998, they censored Austin saying "Jesus Christ, son."
This was happening way before Janet Jackson's metallic tit popped out.
What screws with me is that Comedy Central lets South Park get away with saying everything but the f-bomb. I wonder why?

"Jesus Christ" Because of FCC. End of thread. RAW is on a cable channel. Not broadcast TV. The FCC has no control over it whatsoever. Most cable stations have always censored or presented edited films simply because they don't want advertisers to pull out. Some of the newer stations like FX will use any language (although I haven't heard the f word), violence, and even brief nudity. But the advertisers on FX know ahead of time exactly what it is that they are sponosring. "God Damn" and "Jesus Christ" have always been censored terms as long as I can remember. But when it comes to censoring RAW, USA Network made that decision themselves. Not out of fear of the FCC, but of sponsors.

I find it odd that they edit out words in Europe. I always thought you guys had a lax attitude on censorship. Like don't you kids have nudity in your commercials?
