Really could have chosen a better way to say it than that.

Yeah, he's referring to the past. Should have just said "I've tried them in the distant past" or something though. Doesn't make anyone look bad, and it's a million times better than his "you'll never prove it" line which is intended to be clever but instead just draws a lot more attention than anyone should want.

My opinion of these comments is basicly he has in the past used them, but never failed a test and no longer uses them. You cant prove shit once it is out of your system......unless he pops up in one of these pharmacy scandals.........but maybe someone else bought them from a physician and he just met a dealer, then no paper trail

Here's what happenned with Cena. The interviewer asked him "have you ever used steroids?" and Cena's answer was "I can't say that I haven't, but you can't prove that I have". Whatever he was trying to say, atleast he was being honest.

the question was reguarding what Cena took in the past, and also, I don't believe I've ever heard Cena outright deny steroid use.
