and still bret complains about it. can he not do just one interview where he dosent mention it?

It was a ten year retrospective. It's right there at the top of the article.

Considering the interview was solely based around the 10 year anniversary of the Survivor Series, that question should be posed to WWE.

I'm going to do amaron and lariatooooo one better. I'll tell my boss that I can't make it to the company's biggest annual event, despite being a crucial part of it, because I've 'lost my smile'. Plus, I'm going to spread false rumors about a guy who I don't like, sleeping with someone who I had an affair with. Shawn was single, he didn't have an affair.

The Montreal Screw-Job paved the way for the evil Mr. McMahon character, which helped the WWF overtake WCW. It was a very big deal.

Now this is something I'd like to read, prior to the WWE censoring what Bret actually feels.

Good interview.
Did anyone else notice the hidden "Save_Us 222" link within that article?

Bret's favorite meal is Burgers and Cries. When he had his bike accident, he got hauled away in the Wah-mbulance. Its funnier if you say Wahburgers and French Cries

Good interview, and far less censored than his DVD one. Sure, we've heard it before quite a few dozens of times -and I actually think many, many more- but the fact remain that, WWE both screwed Hart and completely ignore the creativiy clause he had in his contract. I don't see were the "obey your boss" thing fits if it wasn't about obeying or not: it was about making the damn thing VALID.
And yeah, the screwjob was a big thing: it literally gave the WWE its famed "attitude" era and made it what it is today.
(BTW, I'm pretty damn sure his thoughts about Batista and Cena are going to be as censored as hell)

To me, "obey your boss" (especially in this case, when it was Vince who broke the agreement) is just as wrong-headed as "just doing my job" (possibly the worst excuse ever--it doesn't work for anything).

Being a huge Bret Hart fan.... I still hate Shawn because of this. I especially hate the way he rolls out of the ring and tries to act (just as) ticked off as The Hitman about what happened, like he didn't know what was going on.
Stupid Shawn. I don't blame Bret... I wouldn't want to drop the title to that idiot either.

Shawn and Bret both have huge egos. Personality wise, they both suck. But they're great wrestlers. I hope Bret starts becoming involved with WWE again in the future, possibly being a guest referee or an announcer in the future. I know it's a long shot but the fact that he's even on the same page as WWE was a long shot eight years ago too.

Screw Bret and Shawn in this position. There is one fact and one fact alone that seals this case for me: Vince McMahon had a company to run. Imagine if your world champion was going to the competition in mere DAYS, and still had the title around his waist. As wrong as it sounds, Vince had to protect the foundation his grandfather and father built, and so he put the title on Shawn.

Imagine if your world champion was going to the competition in mere DAYS, and still had the title around his waist. As wrong as it sounds, Vince had to protect the foundation his grandfather and father built, and so he put the title on Shawn. Wrong. Vince offered Bret a twenty year contract because he was afraid Bret would go to WCW. Then he went and broke the contract because he couldn't afford it. Unfortunately, for Vince, he put a creative control clause in it. Vince screwed Vince. The Montreal Screw-Job was ultimately his fault: He offered Bret the contract, he agreed to giving Bret creative control, and it was his decision to break the contract and screw Bret. For someone who talks so much about "personal responsibility," he doesn't like taking any himself. Vince was the unprofessional one. He screwed Bret and broke his word out of fear and self-preservation. That's what it comes down to. In addition, Bret had ample time to drop the belt to anyone. He wasn't going to Nitro the next day or anything. He never could've showed up on Nitro with the title.

(BTW, I'm pretty damn sure his thoughts about Batista and Cena are going to be as censored as hell) Doubtful considering he has openly stated that Batista is one of his favorite wrestlers and he would have loved to work with someone like him.
