World Wrestling Entertainment released WWE developmental talent Ryan Wilson, who worked in OVW as masked character Jacob Duncan. Wilson, who at one point was OVW champion, appeared briefly in TNA as Trytan and signed with WWE in November 2005.

What the frick?
I just saw him beat Funaki in a dark match, so I thought for sure he was on his way to getting called up. He is quite agile for a big man.
Oh well, he can always go back to TNA so that Mike Tenay can say "Do you see who that is?? It's Trytan, formerly known as Jacob Duncan, who was formerly known as Trytan! But why is he here???"

Trytan sounds like a Transformer. Was he a transformer? Because I wouldn't mind a wrestling robot.

"Jacob Duncan" was the name of a masked[/u] wrestling character? Aren't they usually given named like The Executioner, The Mystery, and, well, Trytan?
Why would they give a masked guy a normal-guy name?

Because im still awaiting Monty's promise of POUNCEing Trytan and his spaceship back to his home planet.

One thing that confused me. When he started as Jacob Duncan he had a mask, then I saw a picture of him when he was champion he didn't have the mask, the I saw he had the mask on. What was the deal with that?

What was the deal with that? I think WWE was still undecided on the mask. In the dark match of his that I saw a month ago, he did not have a mask. That's how I knew who he was. But in OVW he did wear the mask, and I think I read a report that he wore the mask in WWE recently also. |
