Well I was fooled. Yet another example of... Epic. Anywho.... Just shows the media loves a scapegoat, be it video games (sup Thompson, you wacky old fruit), the internet or in this case, pro-wrestling. I'm offended by how the media handled the Benoit situation due to the simple fact, they knew jack-shit about the pro-wrestling business. Sadly, it's not due to lack of research IMO but that they simply don't care, which this footage shows.

Yeah, well it only got 0.6 as it is. Next time they'll have to edit a bit more sensationally to get higher ratings . Wow, I now have a ton of respect for John Cena and WWE. It kind of does look like he took roids at one time or another but if he claims it flatout, then I believe him.

The world is jealous that "phony phony fake fake wrestling" is more entertaining than any of the crap they can think of, and as a result, things like this happen. I find it unhealthy to hate something as much as the majority of the world hates wrestling. Gonna be fun to watch the media squirm and try to explain this. Just stick to which celebrity got busted for coke today. You know, "real news."

They don't hate wrestling. They just don't take it seriously. Heck, you just have to listen to all that crap Nancy Grace was sprouting the first time she covereved the Benoit story (was he upset about being demoted from the four horsemen to raw?). No way would she have made the same mistake if it were baseball or hockey.
I think they were even shocked Benoit has real head injuries, because they thought it was all fake.

TED TURNER owns CNN.[/b]
I mean it's not like he has like a grudge against Vince McMahon or anything.

Hmm... between this and the Foley thing makes me wonder why wrestlers even bother going on these shows at all.

I am very, very pleased that WWE has shown the unedited footage.
It shows how low CNN (and other corporations) go to be "controversial" and mock this. Especially when they know that with professional wrestling, not many people take it seriously in the first place - meaning it's easier to get people against it. Steroids have been and still are a major problem in this business, and from what I can see, WWE are doing their best to eradicate them. Whether you take it seriously or not, I believe that the Wellness Policy is a move in the right direction.
Cena represented the company extremely well in this interview, and it was very unfortunate for him and WWE that this was broadcast the way it was. I knew that Cena would've never said that as soon as I watched the show.
Once again, kudos to both John Cena and WWE.

I know this is going into politics, but does this evidence show that everything the media and news shows as segments as bias to further there agenda? If so, how can anyone believe in anything?

Good for WWE. They have to protect themselves and they're doing a hell of a job of it by having their own footage of these interviews for insurance purposes.
Remember the unedited footage of Vince on Real Sports with Bryant Gumble? It showed that it took Vince much more than just a simple question to throw Gumble's papers around.

Gonna be fun to watch the media squirm and try to explain this. Sorry to harp on this but you make it sound like CNN would air this footage. Sure the IWC will see it, but that's a pretty big minority compared to those who may have seen this. Unless they are in a lawsuit or something, I highly doubt CNN will even acknowledge this video existed.
