I'm a little surprised by the criticism Lawler's book is getting. I found it to be very entertaining. His road stories (especially the stuff about Jackie Fargo) were hilarious to me. I have enjoyed pretty much all the wrestling autobiographies I have read. The only one that sticks out a bit as being dull is the Goldberg book. And even that had it's moments. The best I have read is the Freddie Blassie book, and I would recommend it to fans and non fans alike. I am half way though Jericho's currently, and enjoying it so far. Though I regret paying 25 bucks for it, cause I feel that is too much for any book. And they wonder why kids dont f***ing read anymore. Who the hell can afford it? I got Artie Lange's Beer League DVD for 4 bucks the other day and was equally happy with it.

DDP, Rock, Goldberg.
The good thing is I didn't pay for any of them. Goldberg was a gift, Rock I borrowed from someone, DDP was given to me by a librarian I knew. I actually got quite a few good books from her, not all wrestling related.

I've got Lita's book, never got past the fourth chapter. I'll probably read it someday, but not anytime soon. The only reason I still have it is because it's signed/personalized. I've got a picture of one of my friends and I with her that I'll probably dig up and scan for y'all sometime.
I've been lucky that the other ones I have are good- the Hardys and Regal. I'm still reading Regal's book, but I love it. I also have Foley's first novel, which is surprisingly good.

The Rock for me too Hated Austins I think it was a bit early in his career to bring out an Edge one but I enjoyed it Bischoffs seemed to skimp on the details a bit IMO Hi, I'm punctuation. Nice to not meet you. Ok back on topic, it wasn't technically a biography, but i loved "Are We There Yet?"

I read Foley's first two and Dynamite Kid's. Loved all three of them. Rock's was alright, luckily I got it in paperback at a book store that went out of business so it was 75% off so I got for like $1.50
I've got Chyna's and Lawler's on my bookshelf. My bro bought me the Chyna one for Christmas, my sister picked me up Lawler's the other week at a book sale.
On vaguely related sidenotes... Mr. T by Mr. T is a good, quick read. I got it for $3.99 at a used bookstore in hardback with the original cover. "Ted Turner Speaks" (which is just various quotes and quick stories on him) is a really good bathroom reader. I got it a library sale.

Bret's and Jericho's which I paid for at the same time ran me over $80. Yeah, hardcover's in Canada are about $45 a pop.

Chyna
I have no idea why I bought it. But I threw it in the bin during a cleaning out of my house.
I still have no idea what she was talking about when she mentioned "agent orange". I'm pretty sure she didn't defoliate Vietnam, so other than that, who the frick knows?

Chyna's, Angle's, Hogan's, ECW are all books I regret buying. Bret and the 2 Foley books are definatly my favourites, although I still haven't got Jericho's yet

I don't regret any biography that I myself have purchased, but I wasn't a fan of Kurt's book. Kind of early to publish a biography of someone who's just hitting the peak of his career. I'd love to see his bio now.

I got the feeling she was mad at WWE pressuring her to to do that tv show where she got injured. She's even manages to take a few shots at Stephanie and the rest of the creative team.

I haven't looked through the whole thread, but I get the feeling Chyna's bio is in the lead.

Interesting note is that Chyna's was written by a guy who now writes for Battlestar Galactica.
Not surprisingly, his episodes are usually the worst.

This will show how much of a mark I am... I got Chyna's book the week it came out . And it sucked. Hard. Bless her heart, but Fabulous Moolah's book was just littered in kayfabe that I could not get past chapter 2. It is like she didn't know people knew that it was a work, and wrote of how she fought for her life against Ivory. Angle's was kinda boring, but it's personally autographed, so I can't get rid of it. It's kind of a keepsake, actually.
