According to sources, Smith's last drugs test was on September 13th and it was that one that he failed, for steroids. And the only conclusion anyone has been able to come to, including people internally, is that Smith got his initial push so WWE could show that they were willing to suspend a guy they had just started pushing. However, the decision to bring Smith up and push him came after they had received his test results.

So, he got pushed because he failed a drug test?
WWE has some weird ass logic.

Ha! "According to sources".
According to my Ouija board, DH Smith is Liberace reincarnated. He was pushed because Liberace appeared at Wrestlemania.

Just because the test was done on September 13th doesnt mean the results came back the next day. Depending on how much you pay and the amount of tests being done and the lab you use, it can take up to 6 weeks.

I have it on good authority tests that take days actually take seconds if you give the lab tech a carton of cigarettes.

I read I think it was last week that there were "rumors" going around that DH had failed the test back in September but the 'E held off his suspension until November to prove that they were serious, but that people close to the situation said that it was likely not the case. So yeah, I'm not really believing this piece of news.

If I were Vince I wouldn't suspend anyone with a drug problem. As long as it didn't effect their work I don't see how it's any of your business. This isn't like real sport where there's an issue of cheating through performance enhancing drugs.
I've still not understood why it's an employers responsibility to nanny those who work for them. If I developed a drug problem and walked up to my boss and demanded to know what he's going to do about it I'll either be laughed at or sacked.
Even if you take the view that as their employers it is somehow their responsibility, at least partially, the idea of suspending/firing someone as a way to help them overcome their addiction is just beyond stupidity to start with.

Sounds like they tested him when they decided to bring him up and then the results came back and cost him his debut push.

WWE has some weird ass logic. Only in Vince McMahon's world would this make sense. On the flip side of things, maybe the only reason Randy Orton is world champion is to illustrate to the locker room you can be suspended multiple times from the company and still receive a huge push.

He still does. Most main eventers in the last five years or so have been on something. Hopefully, he'll get off the steroids.

This isn't like real sport where there's an issue of cheating through performance enhancing drugs. I think it's more of a saftey issue for the wrestler's they are in the ring with. Real sport or not, it's still a job where you're putting your life in someone else's hands. If I'm a wrestler, I want to know that the guy I'm in the ring with is all there. I don't care about his health. He can do what he wants to himself. But I care about my own safety.
