He did. News sites had a clip of the voice over slowed down and made deeper, and it was 100% McMahon.

Funny actually rewatching this it's not as bad as I remember. But this angle goes DOA when it' revealed to be DDP. No knock on him or anything but it's not believable as DDP only comes off well as a common guy face that overcame odds and triumphed(sort of like Dreamer) and well DDP stalking Sara Undertaker makes no sense and being squashed by Taker and losing to Sara did not help as well.
But really a good start and if it was someone like Flair this would have been great or even a young guy at that time like Palumbo, Stasiak, or O'Haire it would have done wonders for them. But having DDP do it just felt wrong and buried him in WWE.

i think DDP did well... he seemed like he really had a good raeson to do all this... it's all about making it to the top... and he uses a prison yard mentallity... go after the baddest dude there.
plus, sara taker may not have the face of an angellll but i'd just put a flag over her face and f*** her for glory. ya know?

I mean, cant WWF cut off the feed, or better yet, trace it? suspense of disbelief is a great thing. you know how illogical it is that a fat samoan guy and a skinny straight edge punk rocker can fight for an hour and neither one of them lose is? it's wrestling. logic is out the window |

DAMN it's all about logic, partner... you're using the fact that this angle isn't logical to say it sucked... yet how logical is it that punk/joe could go an entire hour... you put two guys their size in a shoot and joe would bust punk up in 2 freakin minutes... theres no way a fight would last for an hour between ANY two people... yet people act like it was the best thing to ever happen in history... yet people have no problem complaining about the fact that this angle was illogical... yeah it's illogical. but do you expect logic in a business that is a fake fighting show? a business like pro wrestling. |

DDP was the wrong WCW guy to use for the angle. It would have been more well-suited gimmick wise for Scott Steiner, since he was always trying to bang other guys' wives anyway.
At least DDP was technically separated from Kimberly in kayfabe at this time anyway.
