Edge has the potential to be one of the best heels EVER. Turning him face serves no purpose at this point, other than to just do it for the hell of it. He's never been a good face and as its been said hes a natural heel.

I'd keep him heel for now, but if they had him as more or less the same, but using his face moves like the Edgecator(With a new name, please), then I could accept it.

I think that, because it has been a while since he's been a face (2004) it would be a nice change of pace. I don't know how the rest of the fans would react, but i think it could be pretty different.
Then again, who would he feud with on Smackdown if he were a face?

he's one of those wrestlers that is just better suited as a heel. I couldn't picture a modern face Edge.

no. the only heel who really has enough of a current push to be in the main event of smackdown is khali. i'm sure i'm not the only one who would rather have an edge/batista feud than anything involving khali.

The only time he really entertained me as a face was when he and Christian were doing their "offbeat shenanigans" in 2001. He has been an awesome heel for a very long time now, so there is no need to change it.

Edge rules as a heel.
As a face he'd work as a funny smartass, but his E&C days are long gone, and I can't really imagine him reverting to a goofy face after these awesome years as psycho-extreme-sleazy heel
