Think its a coincidence that when he left WCW it started to suck and when he left WWE it sucked even more??
i think not

yes Abyss is letting himself go. Since he was in a lot of pain, I would say that it would be best for him to stay out of the ring and become a full-time act like Ron Simmons. He was always great in comedic roles.

I miss him for one reason.
Because his replacement is Khali.

He was better at the comedy then in the ring. I wouldn't mind him returning for comedy

How was he lazy and unmotivated? Compare what he looked like in WCW to the WWE. He ballooned in weight. His physical breakdown has to be the effect of that. While there is a notable difference and Show himself has admitted that he didnt always eat well, didnt he have to have numerous operations because of his growth issues? Wouldnt they also have something to do with the change in his size and thus be out of his control?

I think it's unfair to call a guy whose final six months consisted of him in chronic pain, yet still one of the most over heels (as well was WHC) on any of the three brands, and still wrestling every week, unmotivated.

only because I've gained a new appreciation for him since he retired, because I called one of my college roommates "the Big Show". His music was hilarious.

I know a lot of people complained about it, but his first few weeks as ECW Champ, taking on competitors from the other brands (Batista, Ric Flair, Kane, The Undertaker) was f***ing awesome... Especially the Kane and Ric Flair matches which were way more hardcore than I figured they would be.
Me and my friend were watching Hogan Knows Best when they had the little "After The Commercial" montage to keep you tuned in, and the Big Show was in that little montage. We had to back and smoke a bowl strictly for Big Show's appearance, which lasted all of 2 minutes... It was the best ever...

I certainly do. I just saw one of his final title matches in ECW the other day and it made me sad to think about his absence. Why can't he get a reality show? Everybody else does. I'd watch. I was always amazed at how many here saw nothing of value in the Big Show. He was far more than just a novelty giant, he understood wrestling.

I think it's unfair to call a guy whose final six months consisted of him in chronic pain, yet still one of the most over heels (as well was WHC) on any of the three brands, and still wrestling every week, unmotivated. Even with that he had some good matches too and took some bumps. His match with Flair on ECW was very entertaining and I never expect Flair to do the things he did in that match. For a match in that pain to talk table bumps and Extreme style ECW was doing at that time is impressive. He was a decent ECW champion when he frought the right guys. Batista not being one of them. But like Sabu it worked.

Big Show's fluctuating weight was partly his own fault, yeah. I mean, the guy has admitted to enjoying sucking down large pizza pies and whole pitches of milk. But lets be honest, his metabolism has to be crazy for him to be the size he is, and thusly, hard to work against. And lest we forget, it could not have been easy to work out for him. Most exercise equipment is not designed for someone his size. Its gotta be hard to work up a real burn on say, a treadmill, when you are so large that just getting on it overloads the thing and it breaks. Its got to be hard to sign up for a gym membership when you can't even get through the locker-room door. Toward the end, when he was ECW champ, Show had clearly been trying to lose weight, and he even had some muscle tone going on. But he was clearly in pain. Its gotta be hard to take bumps at his size.
But even then, Show pulled off great matches. Up to the end, he pulled off moves that were surprising for a guy his size. And I dare say, he played the monster heel to perfection. During the months of his ECW run, he really was the man to beat, not a goofy sideshow.
Personally, I would actually like to see Show come back as a "mystery" opponent for someone like Khali or a heel Lashley at WM, and actually get his first Wrestlemania win. That would be pretty sweet.

Show was just such a natural heel in ECW. He really tried to piss of the ECW fans at Hammerstien.. .and because of that.. it made Sabu's attack even more awesome. The matches with Flair, Taker and Kane were probably some of the best that summer. Show as ECW champ was not half bad at all. Plus the RVD/Show storyline going into D2D was pretty cool.. but we all know how that ended.
