If this has already been posted, my apology, though you know somebody would come up with this sooner or later. Anyway, though I don't have anything against Dr. Thuganomics personally or professionally, him being gone for a year(thus vacating the championship in the process) is a breath of fresh air.
The problem is, who else can take up the main event scene alongside Orton? Triple H is already involved in a fued with Jeff Hardy. As much as I'd like to see HBK as champion again, I know its not going to happen. Flair could have one last run as champion and then retire(if that ever happens) by losing the belt back to Orton. I know Jericho is fueding with Orton ATM, but I think he's just being a visitor to the main event/championship scene. When Jeff Hardy's fued ends with Triple H, I wouldn't mind seeing him get a main event rub.
Back to Cena. When he comes back, he'll get a standing ovation for sure, but I hope they don't immediately push the future Hall of Famer into the World title scene. I would like to see him in a high profile fued, maybe with up-and-comer Santino Marella or somebody else.
Thoughts?

It dient matter who has left, or who has come back, without decent writing it will still suck, even if they had Deniro and Pachino cutting promo's.

I'll bite my tongue for saying this, but I think it's gotten worse since he was injured, which bums me out, cause I said countless times during the earlier months of the year that "If only John Cena wasn't around wrestling would be soo much better".

Yes. Incredibly enough, having Cena off my TV has been a shot in the arm for the product.

It's got better recently thanks to some actual fresh main event wrestlers appearing.

I reckon it's improved greatly, but I don't think it has to do with the lack of Cena, that's just incidental, I honestly believe the product has improved alot in the past weeks.

I say it's too early to tell because Orton with the belt is really terrible, but if they'd put the belt on Jericho, HHH, Umaga, or even Jeff Hardy It would be better. But having Jericho back is good and the building up of Santino and the comedy segments with Hornswoggle have been okay. But all in all I can't say if it's been better just yet.
But one thing I can say is Orton is a worse champion than John Cena.

The show has gotten better, yes. I'm no Cena fan, but even I don't think the show is better because he's not there. I just think the other stories going on right now with Orton/Jericho, HHH/Hardy, and Ric Flair's new storyline are very interesting. Cena could still be there doing his thing, I'd just fast forward through it anyway.

Well, if he stays with or is on good terms with the WWE in the next 20 years, then yes, he'll be in the Hall of Fame. But thats not the topic.

Well I'm enjoying it more certainly without the great unbeatable force on top. I'll take Orton's forgettable run over Cena's myself.

I think so. Instead of focusing on Cena and his next victim all the time, they have opened up to Hardy, HHH, HBK, Flair, Jericho, Kennedy and, Orton all of whom have stepped up and delivered.

I would say that RAW has definitely gotten better recently. Last night's show was very good, with the exception of the horrible Hornwoggle vs. Carlito skit. That was embarassingly bad.

It dient matter who has left, or who has come back, without decent writing it will still suck, even if they had Deniro and Pachino cutting promo's. You win, sir. Cena and his overcoming odds were a pain in the ass, but his being gone hasn't signaled an improvement. Still has the Hornswaggle crap. Still has Santino. And The Son In Law of Kings, who overcomes odds himself pretty handily, by the way.

I'd say it's slowly improving, certainly. Flair's back, Cody Rhodes actually has me interested in what Hardcore Holly is doing, Y2J is hopefully gonna be a champion, honestly, the only thing I really dislike about Raw right now is Santino, and he's usually just one segment on a 2 hour show.

Well in my point of view, Raw for the last month have improved a lot. I'm loving the Hornswoggle and Santino segments since it's something different. With the currents storylines of Jericho/Orton, Flair's retirement angle, HHH/Jeff Hardy, and Kennedy/HBK. So their nothing can better then this at the moment.

Yes it has, though Cena being gone isn't the only factor, but it certainly helps that he isn't around and being the focus of a large amount of the spotlight anymore.

I think it did get better, but not because of his being gone, but because of others trying to fill the void.
