Hmm, not in my top ten or maybe even 20, in terms of matches and so on. But, the Outsiders, as a concept, was phenomenal. The early NWO stuff was perfectly done. Later, not so much.

Within the 100 greatest, somewhere in the top 30. The NWO was a great concept BUT it got real steam when it started adding members. They were a good tag team but not the stuff of legend.

Good question. In terms of ability, as it was said earlier, not really in the top 20, but as characters, their personality, they were red hot for awhile, and that means a lot in wrestling. In the grand scheme of things, they're above average. If not for the mid 80's tag team boom, they'd rank higher.

I don't like the concept of having a huge army of members for something like this. The idea that three people could threaten the well-being of an entire organization is what made it so awesome. "A few evil men against the free world" is a plot that NEVER gets old.

In terms of overness and importance to the history of wrestling, I think they belong to be at least top 10.

One of my favorite acts in the history of Wrestling. While they weren't amazing in ring, they made up for it with their characters, personality, and golden mic skills. They're probably in my personal Top 5.
Id have to think about it longer than this though.

In terms of overall skill, they get trounced by teams like the Bulldogs and the Harts, among many others.
In terms of importance to the industry, they're in the top 5 easily.

As the whole package, not just in ring work, proably top 5 most important tag team of all time, I mean minus the vince/stoncold storyline, the nwo was the most important angle of all time.

I'd even argue that the nWo was more "important" in terms of getting the industry up to the next level. Outsiders are huge in the history of pro wrestling. In terms of in-ring ability they're not on the level of Harts, Bulldogs, Rock and Roll or Midnights, yadda yadda, but they did a solid enough job, mainly thanks to Hall, and their characters were hugely important to wrestling at that point.

They were crap. Tag Team wrestling meant nothing in nWo era WCW.

Very true. As big as Austin vs. McMahon was, it wouldn't have mattered had the nWo not been the catalyst for the late 90s wrestling boom.

Duuno, to this day, I still feel it was two singles' stars that teamed up and gelled really well together. I wouldn't call them a bonafide tag-team like LOD, Demolition, The Nastys etc.

Definitely in my top five. Hell, I STILL mark for the Outsiders now, despite the lack of wrestling ability in Nash these days.

I don't know where they rank in terms of actual wrestling ability, but I will say they were one of the most charismatic tag teams ever. Amazing chemistry.

I'd rank them in the Wrest of Wrestling section.
