Jericho's "Break the Walls Down": www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wXz9IJPI1ELed Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks": www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-AanPHMbC4---------------------------- I was listening to Led Zeppelin IV while on my way to work last week when it dawned on me: What the... That's it! "Break the Walls Down" is "When the Levee Breaks". "When the Levee Breaks" is "Break the Walls Down". "Break the Walls Down" is a man! But, seriously, I've been listening to Zeppelin just as long as I've been watching wrestling -- and, yet, I've never noticed this until just now. I'm not off, am I? I mean -- they are virtually the same song, right? ETA: Or at least one samples the other?

No. Sorry, try again some other time.
Just because the lead singer in both songs has a distorted voice and the drums have echo doesn't really make them the same song.

Neither has anything to do with the main guitar parts, which do sound a bit similar I won't say the songs are the same though, but there is a simliarity

knowing jericho's theme music history, i wouldn't be surprised if his theme was inspired by zeppelin. the drum patterns and the main riff are similar. jericho's theme is a bit more rappy though.

In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if Break the Walls Down was somewhat modeled after Levee. Jericho knows a thing or two about rock music, so it wouldn't be a stretch to have him request a bit of a homage or something when working on his entrance. That's not to say, however, that I think that's the case.

inspired by but not copied. it's different enough that any law suit or what not would fail as well.

There are definitely some similarities, but I kind of believe in a coincidence here. It isn' t nearly as blatant as DDP' s Smells Like Teen Spirit rip-off.

I'd say that Jericho's entrance music was inspired by that Led Zepplin song, sure. Just like the DX entrance sounds like it was done by Rage Against the Machine. It all has to do with the image that the WWE wants to present.

If you play "When the Levee Breaks" at the exact same time as "Break the Walls Down," the former pretty much acts as the melody, muffling everything but for the lyrics of the latter. And, they match up extremely well.

I heard that when you play "Break the walls down" backwards and slow it down a bit, it contains satanic messages!

Walls 1-2- 3-4-1-2 Levee 1-2-3- 4-1-2

I know the ultimate warriors theme is almost exactly the same guitar rift from (if memory serves) Led Zep's communication breakdown.

On a similar note, I heard if you played Big Daddy V's music backwards... it sounds better.
