Former ECW Champion Steve Corino is backstage at RAW and is expected to get a tryout tonight prior to RAW against DH Smith. He may work under a mask. I'm also told he may be getting offered a tryout as an agent/producer as well.
Corino had a meeting recently in Stamford, CT. about the possibility of working full-time for WWE. We'll see how it goes tonight but it appears he is looking for work.

Wow i can't believe Corino sold his soul, atleast Mr. Wrestling 3 would never do that.

I think he said he wouldn't work for WWE ever as a performer.
I think he'll do really well especially as a talent scout.

Would this be the first time Corino's been on WWE TV?

Would this be the first time Corino's been on WWE TV? He probably wouldn't be on TV if he's going to be an agent. Pwinsider does say though that he did some enchancement work for the WWF, and was a planted "fan" who got attacked by Crush during one segment.

Wow, didn't expect that.
But, yeah, I believe he said he wouldn't PERFORM for WWE, but I guess being an agent or some such thing isn't out of the question.
That said, I know he loves working for ZERO ONE, so that's a little strange. Maybe he just wants his family in the States full time.

I heard somewhere that he quit Zero-1 recently. Or that he was gonna retire this year and become an agent there but things change I guess

Corino gets a lot of s*** but he does have a sound mind for the business. This is good news.

weird. But we'll see whats up. Maybe its less him wanting it, but more his family. There comes a time when you have to lay down your burden and do whats best for your family.
And maybe he is just going to be an agent(which is, from what I hear, a great job).
Or maybe, it'll end up just like New Jack's tryout(ie: nowhere)

I remember in an interview him saying he sent his resume to the WWE when ECW was starting as a road agent or writer. Either way, good luck to him.

Good for Steve Corino, or as I used to call him....that guy who kinda looked like Al Snow when I first saw him....or that guy whose forehead is more sliced upon from bladejobs than Joan Rivers.

I've heard many different things about Corino, mostly that he was retiring this year to spend more time with his son. Dunno what made him change his mind this time.

I think he could do it. He was proficient on the Mic, had some good moves and knows the "old school" way......He'd be awfully young to be a producer and is mainstream unproven talent but I think he could do it.
