Yeah, it was brief and all, but I thought he was on bad terms with them or something. Hell, if any of you read WWE magazine, they take shots at him(calling him annoying wholesome, boring, etc). I guess you can say he'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Thoughts?

Wasn't that wholesome thing part of his schtick at one point?
Backlund rules, if WWE was mad at them they're jerks.

How can you stay mad at a guy that has looked the same age for 30 years?

I was surprised to see him, just because he was in TNA a short time ago.

I was surprised to see that he's in better shape than half the current roster.
Of course, since 90% of the crowd was 15 years old or less, they didn't have a clue who he or any of the legends were outside of Hogan.

Wasn't that wholesome thing part of his schtick at one point? Yeah, when he first started out he was billed as "The All American Boy" Bob Backlund.

I didn't realize that TNA dropped him.
It was great to see him last night. Even greater when he got eliminated and he threw a classic Backlund tantrum.
Pity he didn't get to lock in the Crossface Chickenwing on someone.

I marked. JR has said in a couple of his blogs that Backlund has turned down HOF offers up to this point because he believes he has one more full time run in him. Looking at what kind of shape he's in, I'm really not going to doubt the man.

If Backlund came back for a full time run, I'd mark.

I was quite surprised to see him, because he wasn't on any leaked lists over the past week and because I'd honestly not even thought about him appearing.
I'd totally forgotten about his TNA stint this year. Then again, I don't watch TNA, but I read posts here so I shoulda remembered it at least.

I was surprised, definitely. Once you go TNA...I guess depending on the circumstances, you CAN go back.

After seeing Backlund show up, then Scotty 2 Hotty, I thought Rikishi (aka Junior Fatu) would be in the battle royal.
And I can't be the only one who was hoping for a Big Show appearance.

Could you imagine what his speech would be like if he were inducted into the HoF? The greatest speech since the Sheik! We would probably have to bring our dictionary to decode it.

Backlund should go to the Hall. Other than bitter Bruno Sammartino, he held the WWE title the longest out of anybody in the promotion (Well, there is those little technicalities with Antonio Inoki and Greg Valentine but...)
Hell, his Mr. Backlund stuff in TNA was priceless and hilarious. I too was shocked he showed up last night.
