Let's do a writeup. A tale of playoff spot dogfights and two teams running through EVERYONE right now... - The Fightin Eagles vs Jumping into the Shark: A very big win for my team looking into next week. A very balanced effort and damn near my best overall running back performance combined in weeks. Picking up Devonta Freeman and trading for Clyde Edwards-Helaire has paid dividends. Shark held strong with me for awhile thanks to Myles Gaskin and surprise Waiver pickup Jarvis Landry... but the late push by Tyreek Hill and CEH put it to bed for me. At 7-4 my team is 3rd in the League! The highest I've ever been! With Hill and CEH on late bye however... a win vs Edge of Insanity will not be easy. While Jumping into the Shark sit at 1-10... with 10 straight losses. They will need a lot of help to pull off the upset of the year against The Showstoppas! - The Hurst Business vs Edge of Insanity: This wasn't even fair. It just wasn't. It's not like Hurts Business even had a bad week... their namesake scored 30 points this week! They just faced Edge of Insanity. A team that has won five straight and run a train through this FANtasy league of late. Jonathan Taylor scored 50 POINTS by HIMSELF. Edge racked up over 154 point and was basically in autopilot very early into this contest... it didn't even matter that Russel Wilson sucked! At 3-8... Hurts Business has a season hanging on by a thread going into a Pumpkin Spice Mafia showdown. Edge however is sitting pretty in second place at 8-3... and will look to kill me and my team next behind his lord and savior Taylor - The Groose Football Team vs The Showstoppas: Groose had impressive showings from Aaron Rodgers who massively bounced back with 33 points and Travis Kelce... but the rest of the team underperforming is what inevitably did them in to FAN's first place team and also winners of five straight. The Showstoppas roared back with late games and Tom Brady and Chris Godwin's power trip. Doesn't hurt to have Joe Mixon and James Connor either... and Groose just couldn't overcome it. The Showstoppas are 9-2 and will be the first team to double digits if they pass The Sharks. Groose at 6-5 suddenly finds themselves in danger... Bob's Team looms ahead in what will be a crucial match for both teams. - Hakuna Matata! vs Return of the Jazz: Hakuna Matata has had the second worst luck in the league lately. That did not change despite this being an UGLY game. Jazz didn't dominate but did ENOUGH to put this away at the barn burning score of 72.34 to 64.96. In a contest where both quarterbacks in Prescott and Fields combined for SEVEN POINTS... the deciding factor was inevitably Demented leaving Elijah Mitchell and his 25 fantasy points on the bench for fellow Jet Corey Davis and his... five points. The deciding win came in the last game of the week and the return of Saquon Barkley... as underwhelming as his 8 points were? They were enough. Both teams come out of this at 5-6... Jazz riding momentum is looking to secure a playoff spot and will need to beat Sexy Billy to do it. Demented will look to end a horrific four game losing streak at he worst possible time... and they will need to beat The Fresh Princes to do so! - The Fresh Princes of Bel Air vs Daley's Swell Winners: A team who has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows... Daley's Swell Winners had been anything but lately! Until this week! Looking like the Henry lead Daley of old... a completely well balanced attack behind the 18 points each of McLaurin and Mike Williams (Every player but Burrow and the Defense over 10 points!) was able to propel past The Fresh Princes and end their winning streak. The game was decided on Lamar Jackson's last second scratch and Fresh Princes being unable to swap them. Which is a shame... but trying to overcome the combined seven points from Drake/Uzomah/Higgins would also be impossible this week. Fresh Princes can get back on track against Demented in a pivotal playoff race match. Daley will take their own 6-5 record into a showdown with the Comfywolves. - GYN Comfywolves vs Pumpkin Spice Mafia: The Comfywolves don't wanna talk about it ok? I wouldn't either after only scoring 59 points... It doesn't get much worse... with no Aaron Jones (Hated that guy remember?) the last thing needed was a GOOSE EGG from Carlos Hyde... but it was had. The week started out great with 16 points from NICK FOLK... who would unfortunately be the highest scorer on the team. Pumpkin Spice didn't need to do much this week... but decided to score 132 points anyway. Why yes... they did in fact do that with Courtland Sutton left on the roster and in a bye week! Herbert/Ekeler/Cook/Ertz had some of their best games if not THE best games of their seasons this week. A season saving win for Pumpkin Spice... they sit at 4-7 with work to do. Their boom or bust team attitude which has lead to a lot of points but not a lot of wins yet takes them into a match with The Hurts Business while the Comfywolves have to try and save their season at their own 4-7 against Daley's Swell Winners... - Anal Bleeding Bob vs Sexy Billy: Bob has flown under the radar this season. They aren't a flashy team... they just are a consistent one. That consistency has lead to yet another win against Sexy Billy. A CLOSE game decided by 12 points... A zero spot by the kicker Koo and NEGATIVE TWO points by the Chargers Defense did Billy in. This hurts all the more considering Bob scored 101 points with two players scoring ZERO POINTS. Gainwell was a last minute inactive scratch and Dan Arnold simply did nothing this week for Jacksonville which shocked everyone (I was there last week with Gesicki man I get it). When Justin Jefferson scores 33... it really helps lift a teams shortcomings! Despite 25 from Cousins (Offset by Jefferson) and 21 from CMC... Billy falls to 6-5 and now is in a crucial matchup against Return of the Jazz... while at 7-4... Bob also faces a tough matchup in Groose for pivotal playoff standing. - While only 8 of the 14 teams now only have winning records... 12 teams in the league still have a very realistic shot at the playoffs. Thanksgiving Week will be Feast or Famine for multiple teams in very short player weeks. - Pray for me vs Edge of Insanity please? I'm gonna see Jonathan Taylor in my nightmares I just know it! I'll take Aaron Jones over this!! Lemme just say I've thoroughly enjoyed these writeups. I got a new job right before the season started (work-at-home) so I'm BURNT on using a computer by the time I'm off for the day. I've always wanted to do something like this but then I sit down to do it and just go "....blech". Just wanted to show my appreciation for them.

Beating both Demented and Groose in a FANtasy League year feels like it should be some unlocked achievement lmfao Didn't beat the third piece of that puzzle though, did ya? (In case you or others here didn't know, I'm Groose's older brother...used to be a LOT more active on here than I am now, and started a new account a few years back hence the low post count).

- The Business Hurts... it really does. And once again their team bottomed out against Groose who just got over the 100 point total for this one but still won comfortably. Some retooling will be on tap if the 2-7 team has any hopes on a Playoff run. They get the Sharks next who arguably have had an even worse time than they have... As mentioned before, Groose faces my team next. Pal, my ENTIRE SEASON has been "retooling".

OK, I think we all need to calm down on the waiver/free agency business this morning.

Toilet Paper Roll You would have two wins in a row if you just paid attention to your roster. Why in gods name was Ekeler still on the bench over Hines? Lmfao I can’t get into my roster. I have it on my junk email account which got hacked and deactivated Send me a PM on here with a replacement email address you want to use and I can get that swapped around.

There's a joke to be made about my team's luck and Ridley's announcement, but legit hope he gets the help he needs. Take your time, Calvin. Nobody deserves not having their mental well-being together.

He hasn’t officially been ruled out yet. That makes sense... Yep. He has to be out, IR or N/A (which is usually used for cut/released players). Anything else (even doubtful), he can't be placed there.

Didn’t know this existed! I want in next year Stay tuned around mid/late July next year, that's when I usually make the league and announce when registration is open. I might do it a little earlier next year to get some feedback on what to do with the league next year.

I mean, I was the person that drafted and dropped Conner. So taking a RB I dropped already and downgrading at TE wasn't happening for me. I was willing to take a hit at TE to sew up my RB position a little bit, but I'd have taken a hit at TE and RB for nothing, the way I saw it. I forgot you dropped Connor actually. My bad. Oh, not a problem. Just, he didn't appeal to me.

Powerline Ok I get it I guess I suck at trading lol I was still open to counter offers but you didn't really let me know if it was "This or nothing". I can't give up Carson. He's my most reliable back. I mean, I was the person that drafted and dropped Conner. So taking a RB I dropped already and downgrading at TE wasn't happening for me. I'm gonna level a criticism, after reading about the alternate endings. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}At the end of the day, your choices don't matter.
It all basically boils down to who you leave/stay with. The interractions with the rest of the town barely matter, which is a shame.
Sure, you get them coming to see you off or not, but that's it.
Would have been nice if we had like, Diane managing to avoid blame. Or even failing to get Jed arrested if the town all dislike you. Or even the town forcing Alex out rather than her having the choice.
I had Duckie, Charlotte etc stick up for me. But, even if I didn't, it seems like the end result would have been the same.
Same as condemn or forgive Jed. That needed something major to hang on it. A suicide would have been a dig consequence---Jed killing himself and Ryan blaming Alex for it or something.
Great game, but the overall lack of consequences and choices in hindsight is disappointing. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}It’s exactly like the first game. At the end of the day, none of your choices change the ending whatsoever. The second game actually took account of your choices resulting in multiple possible endings. But most of the players complained and they went back to the choices not mattering method.
{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}For me, I'd have been fine with the multiple endings in LiS2 except that all but a couple of them included something awful happening to the main characters. And you had to play the game a specific way doing things that affected the ending, but without any direct or even indirect connection. A decision or something you did/didn't interact with in, say Chapter 3, could determine if you got through the ending without a problem or if someone got killed, even though the scenario doesn't change at all.
I prefer them not doing that than doing it the way 2 did, but I'd have most preferred just being more logical about it.
I'd also have been fine with maybe a bad ending or being ultimately "ran out" if you didn't interact with others aside from your immediate task or something like that; if you played to avoid everyone or screw things up, then you'd get a bad ending.

Mmkay... I've cooled down a bit Still just beside myself that this shit continues to happen to me in Fantasy Football and the fact I'm looking at the basement of the league because of the worst luck imaginable. I really... really need to not be screwed over for a third week in a row with some f***ing ungodly performance by the opponents players. I seriously only had two players under 10 points this week. My opponent had FIVE. I shouldn't be f***ing 0-2. I should be enthused about next week and not trying to find any reason to care. I'll probably get sniped in Waiver Wire this week too given my luck... Just... really wanted a better first impression in the FANtasy League. And it ain't the fault of anyone here... it just sucks. I have to face the best team in the league next week and I have zero confidence I can do anything after this f***ing shitshow. I'd say here's hoping... but hope dies when Aaron Jones scores 4 f***ing touchdowns. Two of which happen because of a Pass Interference on a 3rd and Goal... and a f***ing Detroit Fumble... near back to back from one another. I had several jip games last year. I could've sworn DJ Chark's performance was solely to piss me off. I had him and he never scored more than 10 points when I played him, and never scored UNDER 10 points when I sat him. I had a TON of games last year where I lost by hardly anything; literally the combined point difference between me being 7-6 and 4-9 (the latter being where I ended up) was, less than 1 rushing TD. The in-joke between me, Groose, and Demented was basically "DJ Chark is personally responsible for keeping me out of the playoffs". It's part of the game. The fact your overall points are that high indicate to me you might be getting your harder games out of the way now and it'll square out later. It's only Week 2 anyway. Lots of football left to play.

It actually has one in the Forum Games Forum, but if that thread were moved here by a mod, that would work. I'd request it in AskaMod. I think the fantasy leagues should be kept to their own separate groups/threads so things don't get cluttered or confusing. Especially if there are overlaps in people who joined each one. We've had overlap in the past, but it's whichever you all wanna do. I won't discourage it one way or the other.

Just stepped into a Mock... back half of the draft can be a wasteland I always draft rookies and second year guys at the very end. You can always pick up a utility guy and in a league as big as this if you eat a ton of injuries you’re screwed any way For me, it depends. I can't justify spending a Round 1 or 2 pick on a rookie (NO WAY I get Najee Harris at his ADP). But if I have a couple WRs and someone like Devonta Smith falls to me, I might take that bet. If my first pick at a position is a rook, I've screwed up somewhere.
